Just remember no officers were harmed.
Not just failure to discharge their duties, but they threatened and physically prevented anyone else from helping those children. They should be charged as accessories to the homocides.

The officers were standing with their heavy gear and ARs but instead of stopping the shooter they stopped the parents from rescuing their children.

My son is 32 now. In our small town everyone knows everyone. We were good friends with the parents of his school mates. It would have taken 300 cops to stop us parents from going in.
Ive said it over and over... I would rather die trying to save my loved ones than live with the memory of doing nothing.
I'm thinking we would have driven a truck straight through any blockade and straight into the building wherever we thought we could gain access.
I could live with peace of mind in jail if they had the nerve to convict me for saving my child. I would face death without a second thought to save my son...

Two wanted to go forward and advance on the shooter but they were told to standby/stand-down as was the Chief.
The problem is that Chief had his men wait long before he was ordered to stand down. The Chief is truly just a coward. Thank god that border patrol agent was there and didn’t give a crap about orders that day. He cared more for the kids, all the cops should have. Hell, they even got the wife of one of their colleagues either shot or killed, I can’t remember if she did die. I imagine that officer lost all respect for his depart

I remember watching the live coverage and seeing officers start to move down a hall, shots rang out and all the officers ran back and hid behind the corners of the hall.

The other soldiers did nothing because they were following orders. They followed the chain of command or r at least that would be their excuse. Nonetheless, the Uilvade Police showed great cowardice. They might as well worn skirts to this major police event.

That 400 includes investigators, and units who arrived after the entire scenario was finished.

That's not what involuntary manslaughter even is for at all and you should know that better than most. We shouldn't just stretch laws to punish moral crimes. We should charge people with anything that fits the crime under the law. Police would be sued out the wazoo if we start down that road and I don't want police feeling scared to act or NOT act in some situations where it would perhaps be irresponsible to do so.

Listening to the officers say, "Anyone know what we're waiting on?" makes me furious and is an actual indictment of their cowardice. Active shooter murdering kids and ya'll stand there? Every officer that was there needs to be charged with dereliction of duty.
Everyone in America and indeed the entire world witnessed the utter cowardice of these officers in the days following this horrific attack and I for one don’t see a problem with holding them to account.

Angeli Gomez went to the school to save her two boys. She got handcuffed when she told the cops to do their jobs.
When they uncuffed her, she jumped the fence and saved her boys.

In Texas it is more likely that it would be those children who called 911 to get help because somebody was shooting who would be charged for abuse of the 911 line. Providing they are still alive, that is.

Supreme Court has already ruled that cops have absolutely no duty to protect anyone, unless those people are in their custody, or unless the police officer has made an express agreement with the victim to provide protection. Thank the conservatives on the Supreme Court for that ruling.

where are the charges for the teacher who violated safety protocol by propping open a door that is to be remained shut and locked during school hours? Where are the charges for the principle who knew the door lock was faulty and did not make any effort to fix it? Both of these are responsible for the shooter gaining access to the school. Security and Safety are multi faceted. One failure does not result in a total collapse.
