Iv owned mine since 2017 , 1500,00km ( around 8000 miles ) iv spent about 80% off road - and some VERY bad off road , mud , river crossings , Mountain snotty climbs and Desert. The bike hasn’t missed a beat .
Holy crap, been watching videos on the Superdual and stumbled onto yours...then I started recognizing all the roads you were riding on. Anyway, your review is excellent and I am subscribing. Thanks!
Now for a lone tourist, there are actually only two options for a new motorcycle homologated according to basic world standards - SWM and KTM 690 / Husqvarna 701. With the same weight and dynamics of the engine in the “save fuel and not in a hurry” mode, the SWM wins significantly in price - it is in the equipped version cheaper than the base from a competitor. Against this background, I am now looking forward to long-term operation reports and am thinking about buying.
If you are less than 6ft tall and enjoy wide open gravel roads. Great. If it's twisty and loose, get a DRZ or Tenere or the like. It floods oil to the air filter when canned right side down. Seat is to fitted for my liking. Those who buy it will stand up more than they want to.
Got this as rental this week. The steering is heavy, and you need some skills for shifting the right gears. It’s not an easy starter bike. But it’s fun!
Great video on a weird motorcycle. One of the most beautiful bikes I've owned was a sm610 and it was also one of the most pleasurable to get rid of. This bike looks like it has a similar garbage tachometer
Hello Motopologist, do you think this bike is suitable for a complete beginner with zero experience? What other similar bikes would you recommend, if not this bike?
God bike for price has all upgrades. the center stand and guards. it's heavier then my atk605ds but helps at higher speed. gud price. the new 500 will be lighter
It is really hard to understand what you are saying. You should definitly slow down your talkin at some points. Other than that, very explained video. Thumbs up for that
As others have stated, you talk a little too fast. Instead of saying you must work on, do it, then I will subscribe when you become intelligible, thanks :-)
Don't forget to subscribe or the government will pave all the trails into highways. Eeek!

The USA market is very jealous that you've had it that long! I'll hit subscribe on your channel for the scenery alone.
The Motopologist thanks 🙏 mate , will be doing another review very soon
It’s all about the ride Keeping it alive How many times have the valves needed adjusting in that time?
Sarah Dell checked at 10,000 kms ( around 6000 miles ) Very minor adjustment on Values

Aaron Fink thank you! I’m located in round rock, so most my filming is north Austin and surrounding areas
@@TheMotopologist I'm one suburb south "between a rock and a weird place." Looks like we overlap riding routes quite a bit
@@TheMotopologist I recognize Lime Creek, my old buddy live's on it
hg cl it’s not Chris Johnson is it? I need to see if he’ll let me film at his place!
@@TheMotopologistNope, sorry. My buddy has about 6 acres towards the top near the cell tower. Overlooks a ravine so not much riding area.
Spent some time in Italy & you'll soon figure out why the horn button is above the turn signal button! Beep Beep!

What you save on the prize you will spend on maintenance . These engines are wearing out quick and need constant maintenance and adjustments

Squid WithGear it’s a quirky bike, but if you check out my latest video the DRZ doesn’t even have a tachometer or fuel gauge! Mind blown.
Nice n not to heavy. Simple
What’s the valve adjustment intervals? Where’s the air filter? Easy access?
air filter right side beneath cover and next to battery - simple maintenance. Check valves every 6,000 miles - unlikely to move unless you SuMo it.

Prolly not the best. Very tall and heavy. Start on a 300 or 350 dual sport maybe or even a 250.
Onroad its a different story
@@amonatrip thank you for the advice, I have ended up with a DR650, very happy with it for now.
Good video
Thanks!
there are paniers on the T version..... so the 7 can turn into an 8 now.

Is this Florida?
Central Texas primarily.
@@TheMotopologist ahh cheers
Were you eating while narrating or something?
My thoughts exactly....this guy needs to get the shit outta his mouth and ARTICULATE....i understood about 50% of what he said.

The Twin Cam TE630 engine that the superDual is based on is not the same as the Single Cam TE610 - Need to get your facts straight.
