- Pokémon scarlet and violet have a lot of new Pokémon, new Pokémon means new shinies! In this game you can make shiny Pokémon appear, with the help of your good friend the picnic table!

Also, id recommend you try this method without the sandwich. It only gets you from 1 in 819 to 1 in 512. So you take like 50% longer on average, but tont have to raid for the herbs. On average, you should be way faster just goind without the sandwich. I only use the herbs for hunting without outbreaks, and going with the shiny+encounter power then
Yeah I definitely need to give that a try, especially because I feel like it’s been so hard to find herbs lol
Not sure what ur sayin but puttin a sandwich on increases it to 1 in 512 in outbreaks is still better then 1 in 800 is stiil better odds true its better to use em out of outbreaks but you do u
@@99dinosaurking grinding for herbs takes longer than hunting a shiny with slightly worse odds.
Like, you hunt a shiny in an outbreak in abput 30 mins without sandwich.
Maybe you hunt one in 20 mins with the sandwich.
But it takes longer than the saved 10 minutes to get the 2 herbs you need
So its more time efficient to hunt outbreaks without sandwich

I remember I did the picnic purge on a second account playthrough of Scarlet, so I could get a shiny Primeape, so in turn I could get a shiny Annihilape. I got the 60ish I needed before I ran around, didn't see it. I purged, ran around, stared at one under a tree for a solid 10 seconds before just testing if it was shiny or not. First picnic purge, I get the shiny! Only to be slightly disappointed by Annihilape's shiny XD

Game designer here and Uh it won’t get patched 😂 the same thing can be done by just moving out of the area until the Pokémon disappear. The only way to patch it is to save the spawned Pokémon and load them back every time you picnic in which case it’ll take up a lot of memory for something that would be patching just a standard good practice in game design
If you don’t want to set up a picnic, just walk away and come back it does the same thing! It won’t be patched.

I had no idea you could use sparkling power with an outbreak. I had tried this before with a vaporeon outbreak but had no luck but my sandwhich was also boosting the encounter so next time I’ll tweak it. This was helpful thanks

You dont have to close the game out. Just go to the home menu and go forward a day.

Question, if you used the sandwich before killing 60 pokenon will it also improve the odds meaning you can find a shiny in the 60 pokemob ?

I’ve only gotten two shinies so far, but they were full odds so that’s cool(Masquerain and Basculin)

I was crazy lucky with 9 full odds . Before I got I my charm , sword and shield I was prob 500 hrs before I finally got a wild shiny
Will this work without killing 60 of them? Will that jusst make it a lower chance or does it just not work that way?
You can do it without knocking out 60, just makes the odds worse

You dont actually need to close your game to reset outbreaks. Just set time to 23:59, let the timer tick to 00:00 and open your map again. New spawns are there :)
