I would like to go on cruise but it’s for double occupancy I’m a widower so I can’t, my wife and I went on 7 different cruises, yours bring back good memories to me.

Linda, put your carrots, whole and unpeeled but throughly washed, in the oven. Drizzle with heart healthy avocado oil, salt, pepper and bake at about 375 for 25 or so minutes. About every 10 minutes turn or roll them over. They will begin to brown and caramelize as they cook. May get a little dark but they are delish. I use the long tri color carrots with no need for sugar or water. Be sure to line sheet pan with parchment for easy clean up. Enjoy!

At the Oregon coast we are supposed to get some light dusting of snow here, something that doesn’t happen to much, but we do sometimes. We live in the Village of Desoto and our house is a few blocks away from the walking trails along Fenney Way as well as the Sugar Cane Recreation Area. There is also a dog park in the area. There are plenty of areas to walk your dog that are not on the road depending on what village you chose to live in. Also, lanais come in different sizes, mostly dependent on the model house you have; so that would affect the cost of enclosing it. Don't forget about insulating the roof over the lanai. There are also different screen types that filter more light and heat (we have a sliding enclosure that can be opened up for air flow during cooler months).
Love the word answer, live it every day! Fantastic cruise, Gary and Sabra did a wonderful job with putting everything together! Nice to meet new Villagers! Just finished the washing and ironing from those full suitcases! Celebrity is our favorite cruise line!
Glad to learn, you own the land your house sits on. With the escalating homeowners insurance and Required new roofs before 20yr warranties. I would consider going without homeowners knowing I could recoup some of the loss by selling the lot and move on

Linda so glad you’re such an adventurous eater! I don’t cook much fish at home either because I don’t like the way it makes the house smell so I always order it when I’m at a restaurant that serves it! 😊
We looked at some homes in The Villages and I saw the red screws and asked. I said oh really, and laughed. I have lived in homes before that had wall switches wired to the outlet but never had the screws painted red to indicate. You just figured out which ones did what after you lived there a short time. There were never any red screw indicators. I said well I would have to take those red screws out and put regular ones in because that would bug me. Lol I have lived in Indiana, Arizona and Texas. Every state has such odd things. 😂😂😂
To easily walk your dog- move to the Village of Fenney or DeSoto or McClure. We have a wide walking path/sidewalk (separate from the golf cart path) along the whole stretch of Fenney Way. Homes in these 3 Villages are built on either side of Fenney Way so not more than a short block or two from the walking path. Also, the streets our homes are on hardly has any car traffic. To prevent my dogs from peeing/pooping in my neighbors’ yards, I walk my dogs down the center of our street to get to the walking path 5 houses away.

We used to stay at Summer Bay, a time share near Orlando. They lost a multiple occupancy condo unit to a sinkhole in August 2013. We weren’t there but stayed there a number of years before and after it occurred. There are earthquake zones, tornado alley, hurricane areas, etc. This is just one more natural phenomenon that could happen but most likely won’t.
French dip!! One of my absolute favorites. If you want crispy fries at home, get “Grown in Idaho Super Crispy Shoestring Fries”. I put them in the toaster oven. Guaranteed to be crispy and sooo good. Also low fat. I get it at Publix, frozen foods.

Got last weeks and get this weeks jumble. Celebrity ships and food is outstanding. My husband and I get couple massages and sometimes facials if the coins 💴 stretch 😂. Ooo. Harvest restaurant looks nice. Great price for that meal. Amy always so informative. Ooo. Sweet & salty. Great sweet. A respectful concerned salty. Thanks for your consistency even on vacation. I’m going on Norwegian cruise lines on March 24 through April 1 my 2nd cruise in my life last time I went four years ago when Covid hit two days after we boarded the ship. I was very lucky that we did get to get off of the ship, it was before all the mess started, lol and certainly glad of that but I can’t wait to go on my next cruise. I’m so looking forward to it maybe I’ll sign up for your cruise in February as long as it’s not during Daytona 500 or the Atlanta race lol

Good Morning Jerry & Linda, Cheryl and I were on the Celebrity Ascent from Jan 21st thru the 28th. Great ship we had a great time except for the pizza Not very good. Have great time see you when we get to the villages.
We just returned from a 7-night cruise two days ago. I am guessing it was my 25th, lost track after 20. Still on the fence about TV. Will be visiting my cousin who lives there. Thanks for all you do!!
If you love to cruise- you are going to LOVE The Villages even more than cruising. I went on my first cruise- Aqua Class on Celebrity with the premium drink package for 11 nights- paid extra to eat in specialty restaurants even though I got Blu as part of the Aqua class- loved every moment but kept thinking- can’t wait to get home- so much more to do in The Villages - there isn’t just one yoga class in the morning like on the ship- there are dozens and dozens and dozens of yoga classes throughout different locations and times!! And there isn’t just one show or one musical entertainment for the evening like on the ship- there are 3 town squares, and Sawgrass and Edna’s and Fenney Grill, and dozens of restaurants, garage and driveway parties, clubs with music and dancing at the rec centers, the Savannah center, the Sharon, the Studio and all the country clubs have live music. PLUS we can get everywhere and do everything by golf cart!! And I missed the wildlife of The Villages- I LOVE the sound of the ocean but no wildlife while at sea. The Villages is close - about 1.5 hours from the BEST BEACHES- the gulf beaches. Also, all our homes have walk in or Roman showers and most of us have tankless water heaters so we can sit in our showers for hours!!! Cruising was fun - a floating bar and continuous eating with unobstructed sunset and but as far as a means to immerse oneself in other countries and their culture- it’s pretty lame- you only have time to visit tourist areas. I prefer to fly to the country, rent a car without a plan and let serendipity chose the way for a couple of weeks then fly home. The Villages is located equal distance from both international airports - about 60-75 minutes away making it easy to get any water. And if you still want to cruise- Florida is home to the busiest ports in the world !! Miami, Cape Canaveral, Tampa, Jacksonville, Everglades, just to mention a few. And The Villages has lots of options for transportation to ports and airports as well has hundreds of “day excursions” and multi day excursions” around the state, the country and around the world !! So … living in The Villages is like a perpetual vacation or being on a 75 square mile (and thankfully growing) cruise ship but better - no packing or unpacking, sleep in your own bed, own bathroom and our dogs!! And with a golf cart to tool around in!!!

Were thinking about doing a cruise one day, we're looking at the one's here in Florida or in Galveston TX, when we go back home to visit.

Cheryl and I were on the Celebrity Ascent from Jan 21st thru the 28th. Great ship we had a great time except for the pizza Not very good. Have great time see you when we get to the villages.
Believe it or not, we never tried the pizza. The burgers at the Mast Grill were incredible though.

We just returned from a 7-night cruise two days ago. I am guessing it was my 25th, lost track after 20. Still on the fence about TV. Will be visiting my cousin who lives there. Thanks for all you do!!
If you love to cruise- you are going to LOVE The Villages even more than cruising. I went on my first cruise- Aqua Class on Celebrity with the premium drink package for 11 nights- paid extra to eat in specialty restaurants even though I got Blu as part of the Aqua class- loved every moment but kept thinking- can’t wait to get home- so much more to do in The Villages - there isn’t just one yoga class in the morning like on the ship- there are dozens and dozens and dozens of yoga classes throughout different locations and times!! And there isn’t just one show or one musical entertainment for the evening like on the ship- there are 3 town squares, and Sawgrass and Edna’s and Fenney Grill, and dozens of restaurants, garage and driveway parties, clubs with music and dancing at the rec centers, the Savannah center, the Sharon, the Studio and all the country clubs have live music. PLUS we can get everywhere and do everything by golf cart!! And I missed the wildlife of The Villages- I LOVE the sound of the ocean but no wildlife while at sea.
The Villages is close - about 1.5 hours from the BEST BEACHES- the gulf beaches.
Also, all our homes have walk in or Roman showers and most of us have tankless water heaters so we can sit in our showers for hours!!!
Cruising was fun - a floating bar and continuous eating with unobstructed sunset and but as far as a means to immerse oneself in other countries and their culture- it’s pretty lame- you only have time to visit tourist areas. I prefer to fly to the country, rent a car without a plan and let serendipity chose the way for a couple of weeks then fly home.
The Villages is located equal distance from both international airports - about 60-75 minutes away making it easy to get any water. And if you still want to cruise- Florida is home to the busiest ports in the world !! Miami, Cape Canaveral, Tampa, Jacksonville, Everglades, just to mention a few.
And The Villages has lots of options for transportation to ports and airports as well has hundreds of “day excursions” and multi day excursions” around the state, the country and around the world !!
So … living in The Villages is like a perpetual vacation or being on a 75 square mile (and thankfully growing) cruise ship but better - no packing or unpacking, sleep in your own bed, own bathroom and our dogs!! And with a golf cart to tool around in!!!
