Brad, my friend.....You keep making me spend money! Very nice review. You really know how to show comparisons between the two. That is what most people want to see and you provide it. I love that they plug & play. The deer shot was a nice touch too!
LOL! Don't blame me for your addiction... okay, maybe you can blame me little! That deer shot was my favorite part about the whole video, completely random that he just mosyed on out. Thanks man, always appreciated!
Wow so much light it's amazing! Headlight swaps should be done asap to anyone that hasnt already. Those floods were incredible too! I think I might spring on those floods soon. Sorry to hear about the drone!
Great freakn review bro! That was excellent how u went from each light to the next in comparison. Gave me a great idea of how bright they actually are. Im sold im ordering today thanx 👍
I'd like to personally thank you for your service, and I love your videos. My best friend and I like to off-road ourselves, she owns a 2007 jeep wrangler and I own a 1990 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4. Soon we will start up our own channel of adventures just like yours, so again we thank you and please continue with your videos!
Wow those KCs look great. Those fogs throw like Xtra offroad lights light-years better than stock. Bought KC 3" cubes for my Mopar light bar spot beams and I love em. I also run an auxbeam 7" in between them with a flood pattern also a great product and very happy with them. Another great video and your Jeep looks great very tastefully done with a modern nod to a classic look.
The amount of light (lumens) being put out is amazing in all three sets, the fogs, headlights, and overhead spots. Amazing lights for sure! Now for some night time wheeling!
man, that is really daytime in front of you, that is a ton of light. I love KC stuff, I have some Daylighters on the front of my Jeep right now. Would looooooooove that whole setup you have there, that is amazing!
I'm a big fan of my JW Speaker headlights and fog lights, but this video makes me think these KC lights are at least as good if not better. The fog lights seem to be better focused than my JW Speakers. But the JW Speaker headlights seem to be better "cut off" as to not blind oncoming drivers...it's hard to tell, but that's my impression anyway. Take it or leave it. By the way, having a way to enable your fog lights when your bright lights are on at the same time is a tremendous help with these sorts of lights. I bought a TrailDash2 to override the stock Jeep system that won't allow you to have your fog lights on when you switch on your bright lights....Having them both on at the same time is great. Also being able to engage your lockers without being in low range and being able to see pretty much every temp/gauge possible is nice too.
Congrats on your new lights Brad. KC Hilites is also great when it comes to warranty and service based on my experience. I had both the Gravity Pro and now the normal Gravity and I like the more even low beam pattern of the normal Gravity more than the Pro. However, when it comes to hi beam, the Pro's are just out of this world. Paired it also with the KC fog lights, which are a pain to put into the ARB front bumper (took my shop 2h as I was unable to get it done myself).
Great review Brad! I have a 20" KC lightbar mounted in my grill and love it. I've been wanting new headlights and these couldn't be better! I hope to order in the next 30 days. BTW, if you get a Flashpaq from SuperChips (sets tire size, gear ratio, engine diags, etc) you can program the fog lights to run during the day and also have the fogs and high beams work at the same time. (Note, daytime mode isn't engaged until the Jeep is in drive. Took me forever to figure out why it wasn't working in park). By default, the fogs turn off when the highs are on. Hope to see you and your rig and the SDJC t-shirt run next weekend. ○|||||||○
I like these much better than the JW's. I have no idea why people go crazy over those. Thank you for the video! Now I know what I'll be spending my money on.
Dude you scared the crap out of me i jumped a bit though someone crashed into you 😅 also thank you again for the videos really helpfull i been going through alot with headlights first had hid, then got a pair of led headlights but the intensity and beam pattern was out of control i would get flipped off and blind people so i took them off now back to stock people still complain when im behind them but i think its my light adjustment its too high or i just cant do nothing about it since my jeep sits high. I like these and yes wish they sat more pushed in but they look great 👍🏼
LOL! You can imagine how freaked out I was when it happened! I've had many folks in the past communicate with me in interesting ways when I was blinding them with other lights... none of that now. Thanks!
Hey brad so at 5:54 in the video I see the beam has a bit of a step to it and not flush straight across in the center. Is that normal? Did some adjusting and looks like a flush light beam from left to right isn’t possible. Thoughts?
That's from the center black piece holding the led's, so you don't get a perfect horizontal line, but doesn't bother me... don't even notice it anymore.
Hey Sir, I saw on your recent Valley of the moon video that you switched from the Gravity Pro headlights to the Gravity and was curious as to why? Thanks!
The projector head lights are really nice and look to have a sharp light cutoff. I️ really hope you’re not blinding anyone with the new low beams and fogs.
Looks good. Aside from the protruding aspect of the design, these are very nice. I still can't get over the light bar, though. I can't justify the price for it, but it's both beautiful and incredibly functional!
I'm thinking about doing this headlight upgrade, just need to justify the almost $800. If you're doing a long term review of some of your off roading gear in the future, could you add these lights in?
Well, thought it is time to upgrade my stock headlights to LED, watched this video and these sounded awesome. But looked pricey, maybe a couple hundred bucks. Did the amazon search, and guess what! $800 bucks! I think my stock lights will be fine for now, since I'm not a silicon valley employee.
We these headlights sticking out around the top quarter of the grill housing, will they still fit with an angry brow? My angry brow now sits flush against the stock headlights.
As far as I have found in my own light tests (similar to yours) with two different lights, but I also swapped them around, as I suspected the left side is always brighter, no matter what light I put in there. My conclusion was that, as our country drives on the left side, they make the cars shine further on the left side so that you dont blind oncoming traffic on the right. Dont know if it is similar with your car or cars in America, but maybe just take that into conisderation on a possible next review :) Love the vids!
Hello! I want to buy one but it's a bit expensive for me and i don't want to fork out that much for something that I'm not sure of, how is it holding up after two years?
Saw your rig in person at TDS2019. Also saw this vid when it first came out. Never noticed your KC headlights stuck out from the socket. Why does it stick out over an inch passed the socket?
As a ham radio operator are you noticing RFI with all the LED? As a Jeep owner of a 1986 and 2000 model I will say KC Hilites prices have jumped 10 fold. Wow. Out of my pay grade now.
Brad I was wondering how these would do in the snow . LED lights don't put out the heat like a regular headlight . So in a heavy storm will the snow stick to the light and freeze over making the light useless? Just a thought.
That's a good question and they don't put out much heat so I can see that being an issue. I was hoping to up to the mountain this year to play in the snow, but adult stuff got in the way!
Great review, Brad. Was planning to get the JW Speaker but I'll check these out. Just curious to know if you've had a chance to compare the KC's to the JW. Honestly, at that price point they must blow the JW's away?
Ive got mine a month ago, Headlights and Fog lights, but i dnt see that much output from the headlights... they are not bright enough. The fog lights are great...!!!
I have the Gravity 7" headlights and fog lights on my Jeep JK. The performance is awesome compared to the stock lights, but I have been getting consistent error codes indicating that the control circuit is high for the headlights. The driver side headlight stopped working back in June. KC replaced both headlights under warranty, and this past weekend the new driver's side headlight stopped working again. Has anyone had any experience with these "control circuit high" error codes? The codes go away when the stock lights are reinstalled, which are nowhere near as functional as the KC Hilite LEDs.
They do look awesome, but come with a big price tag. The difference is clear between them and stock non-LED lights, but have you seen them compared with the upgraded LED lights on the JK now? I have those on mine and I'd be interested to see what the difference is between them and the KC's.
I previously had some LED bulbs and I can say from my experience that there is a significant difference. You make a good point though, maybe some side by sides in the future are in order.
Beautiful!! Can't wait to see those lights in person!!
8:08 Lights so bright the local wild life thought the sun came up and it was breakfast time.
Sold!!! ....KC has been around for years for a reason....they are great.
I have to say your videos are incredibly informative and entertaining, I am now officially a TrailRecon superfan!
Deer Shot? go to Talez from the dashcam and checkout Dang Deer!
Wow so much light it's amazing! Headlight swaps should be done asap to anyone that hasnt already. Those floods were incredible too! I think I might spring on those floods soon. Sorry to hear about the drone!
The drone is surprisingly doing just fine. I really thought I had totaled it after a fall like that.
Great freakn review bro! That was excellent how u went from each light to the next in comparison. Gave me a great idea of how bright they actually are. Im sold im ordering today thanx 👍
Your Jeep looks great with those lights. Wow, what a set up!
She is starting to really come along! Thank you!

The light output is even better in person. I'm not wanting for more light, but that doesn't mean I won't add more! LOL!
I added the headlights and the KC amber fog lights a few months ago and so far I love them!
I'm a big fan of my JW Speaker headlights and fog lights, but this video makes me think these KC lights are at least as good if not better. I've been wanting these for a few years. Just ordered them!
I got around to installing the KC lights tonight. Man, what a huge improvement over the stock candles! It's literally a night and day difference.
Again, nice job Brad!! I will add these lights to my list.
Thanks! I'm very happy with these lights!
Very good review as always . keep up the great work Brad !!
Thank you sir!
Mounting only one side of the new to compare to the old is a very good idea showing the big difference between the two. Thanks.
Congrats on your new lights Brad. KC Hilites is also great when it comes to warranty and service based on my experience. Thank you! Couldn't agree with you more, the high beams on the Gravity Pro's are so amazing!!
Another informative video. Well done brother.
Thank you!
Love the vanity plate!
Thanks! #mudplez!
Those lights are awesome great job
I love em! Thanks!
Do do the best LED light reviews! Keep them coming. Thank you!
Thank you, really appreciate that!
Nice lights Brad! good stuff.
Thank you!
I thought I was sold on some J.W. Speaker headlights but now I'm not so sure... Thanks for the review. Love the rims on your Jeep btw.
I think these are a great choice! Thanks!!
Thanks for the review great headlights and I like the fact they are plug and play
Very easy to install! Thanks!
hey brad, i dont even own a jeep, nonetheless i enjoy watching the content u put out. keep the vids coming!! thanks
Really appreciate it, thank you!

Love your videos. Just subscribed now, also just bought a 2018 JK Unlimited and definitely buying all KC lights
I just installed the gravity pro’s on my 2008 JK . They are amazing I wish I installed them sooner !
good video again, always enjoy them. just was uploading a jeep hacks video and saw yours on my feed.
I like these much better than the JW's. I have no idea why people go crazy over those. Thank you for the video! Now I know what I'll be spending my money on.
You need some KC lights on your drone for the night flights!
Absolutely!!! Some lights and a crash avoidance system!
Awesome review! I'll be making the purchase. Thank you for taking the time to put this together
Ur review as awesome! It pushed me over the edge, so I went to their site & pulled the trigger on a set of both.
Dude you scared the crap out of me i jumped a bit though someone crashed into you 😅 also thank you again for the videos really helpfull i been going through alot with headlights first had hid, then got a pair of led headlights but the intensity and beam pattern was out of control i would get flipped off and blind people so i took them off now back to stock people still complain when im behind them but i think its my light adjustment its too high or i just cant do nothing about it since my jeep sits high. man,i love those lights they are so awesome
Been a few weeks now and they are amazing on the road and trail at night.. love em!
Total Awesomeness Man!
Really nice setup. I may have to go this route!
I love the new setup, looks great and the light output is truly awesome!

TrailRecon thanks Brad!
Watched the video with gf while back and she got me the fog lights to match the headlights 🙌🏼 thanks for the review Brad #girlfriendfriendly lol
Excellent video. Install, side by side video comparison.
Thank you!
Hey Sir, I saw on your recent Valley of the moon video that you switched from the Gravity Pro headlights to the Gravity and was curious as to why?
Thanks!
SOLD... Tell KC to send you your commission..
The projector head lights are really nice and look to have a sharp light cutoff. I️ really hope you’re not blinding anyone with the new low beams and fogs.
Did you do a video on doing the wiring for your light bar? And also what did you end up using for anti theft on the light bar?
Because of this video. I bought some. They are totally legit.
I'm so happy with these lights... you will love them!
Looks good. Aside from the protruding aspect of the design, these are very nice. I still can't get over the light bar, though. I can't justify the price for it, but it's both beautiful and incredibly functional!
WOW Those are awesome!
Did you have the high beams and fog lamps on at the same time?
And why did you pick clear fog lights instead of amber fog lights?
Thanks for posting this. I appreciate it.
I'm thinking about doing this headlight upgrade, just need to justify the almost $800. If you're doing a long term review of some of your off roading gear in the future, could you add these lights in?
I was about to buy the morimoto till i seen these. Great video
Appreciate the discount code. Lights are amazing compared to stock/look good as well - 2015 JKUR
As an f150 owner im jealous lol. Oem hids are ok, led replacement fogs suck. I've got a set of KC 850's and 851's on a lightbar ti make up for it.
These headlights stopped working. They work on high beam , some times a low beam for on 2013 JK Rubicon. Any idea what to look at
Well, thought it is time to upgrade my stock headlights to LED, watched this video and these sounded awesome. But looked pricey, maybe a couple hundred bucks. Did the amazon search, and guess what! $800 bucks! I think my stock lights will be fine for now, since I'm not a silicon valley employee.
Great! Something else to save for 😜 great comparison, thanks for showing that
We these headlights sticking out around the top quarter of the grill housing, will they still fit with an angry brow? My angry brow now sits flush against the stock headlights.

That's very interesting, I've never heard that before... I'll have to look into it a little. Thanks!
Are these good in the winter time?
Do you need to remove the sway bar to install the fog lights if you have the stock bumper?
Have you used the regular KC HiLites Gravity LEDs compared to the Gravity Pros? Whats your opinion in comparison?
Very helpful video! Thanks!
I have the jw speaker evolution j headlights and love them, I may get these kc fog/driving lights though
Are they glass housing or plastic? I don't like plastic since they turn yellow after a while.
As a ham radio operator are you noticing RFI with all the LED? As a Jeep owner of a 1986 and 2000 model I will say KC Hilites prices have jumped 10 fold. Wow. Out of my pay grade now.
Just confirmed the coupon code still works. For those wanting the discount code.
I guess I’m buying KC lights, thank you my brother 👍
Nice review. Do they have DRL functionality as well?
They do have a driving light built in if your rig is equipped.
Is there an adjustment on the lights if you lift your rig?
Great video thanks !
Thank you!
How is the wind noise on that light bar on top of your rig
Brad I was wondering how these would do in the snow . LED lights don't put out the heat like a regular headlight . So in a heavy storm will the snow stick to the light and freeze over making the light useless? Just a thought.
That's a good question and they don't put out much heat so I can see that being an issue. I was hoping to up to the mountain this year to play in the snow, but adult stuff got in the way!
I was thinking man I could dish out 400 or 500 bucks for those but considering they're over a grand!! What happened to KC being for everyone?
I need KC everything on my jeep!!! is there an issue with clearance when you run an angry eye/gladiator/vader front grille with these headlights?
The angry grill won't fit. 🙌
Do they offer the headlights with heaters???
Any adjustment on the headlight beam?
Great review, Brad. Was planning to get the JW Speaker but I'll check these out. Just curious to know if you've had a chance to compare the KC's to the JW. Honestly, at that price point they must blow the JW's away?
I can say the KC high beam is unmatched by any headlight I've seen on other Jeeps and a 23 year warranty... you can't beat that!
Could you do a comparison between Rigid's new PRO line vs the same non-PRO lights?
I don't think my wallet could handle it!
I am very tempted to get the amber fogs
How do they compare to the JW speaker 8700 j2?
Do you have any numbers on lumen output? And, price info, too. Thanks for the video 👍
The headlights are $722 bucks with 2900 lumens on low and 2500 lumens on high.
Thank you. Keep the videos coming and the drone buzzing.
get into fog or a snow squall with those and look out!. I have truck lites and they are problematic under those conditions
Ive got mine a month ago, Headlights and Fog lights, but i dnt see that much output from the headlights... they are not bright enough. The fog lights are great...!!!
I love the fog lights i may have to pic them up in the future. Don’t think i liked the pattern of the headlights tho.
Do these affect the CANBUS?
Give us an update on the xj!
Those unfortunately will not work on my yj.... But they do look amazing :)
Do they have for jl
How much for the fog lights? I have jw speaker headlight
I have the Gravity 7" headlights and fog lights on my Jeep JK. The performance is awesome compared to the stock lights, but I have been getting consistent error codes indicating that the control circuit is high for the headlights. I previously had some LED bulbs and I can say from my experience that there is a significant difference. You make a good point though, maybe some side by sides in the future are in order.
Awesome product and light output, but damn $800 for a set of headlights?
But do they whistle?
Fantastic, I must have some for my truck. Excellent for jacking deer. This channel told me to.
Great headlight and foglight combination but $1040 is steep lol. One day maybe haha
sometimes there free
What if they burn out?
Wish they made some headlights for the YJ 😑
