SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CELEB INTERVIEWS! Emmy-Winner Jake Hamilton talks with Mia Goth and director Ti West about PEARL, the highly anticipated prequel to X.
Mr West and Ms Goth, wow !!! Can I say this is a heartfelt horror film? Quite a backstory, and what a performance. The last shot when the credits roll, and roll, nicely disturbing my goodness. The audition, and what occurs right after, anyone who has ever had big dreams, that really got me in the feels. In this timeline, again this film brings a story that could very well be real. Great to see a well rounded, and smart script in the genre. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
They probably still have COViD restrictions, or he wouldn’t have been able to make it. Remember, I believe he still also works for a news station in Chicago, so he was probably busy with other interviews
It's almost certainly a guarantee that I'll enjoy this film. The only thing that I'm bummed about is that Jenna Ortega and Brittany Snow probably aren't going to be in it.
Someone tell this guy that having a few homages to other movies does not make it a "love letter" to those movies. Literally the most annoying turn of phrase.
So X was inspired by horror from the 1970s and Pearl was inspired by older movies from the early 1900s so based off the trailer for Maxxxine I think it’s safe to assume it will be inspired by the look and feel of 80s movies.

Ti West needs to stop making films, completely unnecessary and boring movies.
Woah! Did not expect that voice from Mia. Such a great actress.

Off the charts. She's incredible.

If you enjoyed X, pearl is as entertaining and actually more grounded in some ways, pearl is so relatable and scary it’s an emotional roller coaster
Love Mia's accent
Miss Mia!!! I’m obsessed with her since like 2012! I love how she’s getting so much hype 🙌❤️
My favorite part was the smiling at the very end as the credits ran.
I loved X. I hope we finally get a 4K release here in the states I want a physical copy so baf
Luckily 4k discs are region free. So even if we don't, you can always buy the out of states releases and still be able to watch them.
Ti: "She has a different interaction with the Scarecrow than Dorothy does..."
Mia: Chuckles
"Different interaction" - the understatement of the year
The cutest answer to a question ❤😂 2:46
I'm so fond of the movie X I'm so looking forward to seeing PEARL. Cool interview
Had no idea Mia Goth was English
I think Mia Goth is gonna make so many excellent films based upon her choices so far. She's simply fucking captivating, always.
Well, 10 years after the events of Pearl was the Great Depression. There’s probably a mass drifter graveyard on that farm.
Every time I look at Ti West I always think that he lost Haim brother. He literally looks like Alana lololol
LMAOOO
i relate to her and that's a good thing.
Another great junket interview from Jake. How come you didn't come to TIFF to do the interview in person?

I love her voice
What a great duo! Loved X, eager to see Pearl, cant wait for Maxxxine! Nice ❤
After hearing Mia's real accent, I just respect her more!
loved both movies. can't wait to see what else they do. great actress
She's beautiful and a amazing actress
THATS HER VOICE ?? omg
Mia does a great southern accent. I'd never guess she wasn't american
Mia Goth is amazing!!! Beautiful, gorgeous talented!!!
Pearl is a really great movie but it is so disturbing because like the joker, it really dive deep into her psyche as a character
Mia goth’s accent is soo cute!
Thats her voice,omg

It's a prequel 🤣
@@samuelblachon95130 So? They could've played different characters.
@@KnarfStein No lol that would only confuse the audience so any smart filmmaker would not do that to themselves lol
Loved Pearl.
Its such a special film
Great questions
Mia goth is British !!
I love Mia so much I hope she gets out of that relationship with shia soon :(
Someone tell this guy that having a few homages to other movies does not make it a "love letter" to those movies. Literally the most annoying turn of phrase.
agreed ...but also the ass kissing is just CRINGE !!!
Pearl 😍
Shelly Duvall/Making of "The Shining" biopic anyone? Christian Slater can play Jack Nicholson
so what would maxxxine be about? her story after the killings?
It’s 6 years after the events of X. Her trying to make it in Hollywood. That’s all we know
@@aquaticlibrary *Her trying to "slay it" in Hollywood or Van Nuys for that matter.
I think order in the world goes, Pearl, X, and then Maxxxine
wtf! her movie voice is so different!
honestly prefer the southern accent , here it’s jarring
Her natural british accent is pretty.she cant Change what she is.she is great actress thats what Matters .
It's called being an actress!
