You aren't the only one with a carcano with no trapdoor. I bought one without a handguard and it is also missing a trapdoor and there is a stock repair near the buttplate. The bore is in mint condition though and for a carcano to mess around with, it isn't a huge lost.

Thanks for the comment Tom. Its no big deal and Im sure these too will be worth money like the Mosins and sks of today. Back then everyone considered them as junk guns or commie guns. They were $99 bucks. Now they are hundreds of dollars. Good investment if you ask me

@@ChuteInSchitTV I also have 2 other carcanos from RTI. One is in mint condition and it was 150$ on Memorial Day (it was initially $200 before Memorial Day Sales) and one of those fair condition 100$ carcanos as I planned to do wood works and repairs. When I got my 100$ carcano, no missing parts and all rifling is good but a chunk of wood from the stock missing on the right side from the bolt handle to the bolt/receiver. It is very hard for me and I wish I have a picture to show. I do think it is still shootable despite the missing chunk. So I have 3 carcanos from RTI in total.
