Very nice build. I have to say that is the first M chassis I like the looks of other than the dual FRP plate designs. The body is a nice tribute to your dad’s car as well. Great job.

It really does seem like a complete departure from other mini chassis. It truly is just a shrunk down version of the XV-02 Pro.

Very nice Fiat 131 homage body (The Datsun's not bad either). Awesome build. I also liked the Chevy S10 in the background 😊 There's always something to love in a Rally Car, whether back in the days or modern one 😉🤝

I had already built mine when I watched this video and I can say yes you covered the hard issues. Nicely done! I feel the same about my collection of servos and I'm always looking for quality deals on mid use vehicles. I'm a big fan of KST but for this build I tried a The FrSky Xact HV5502 Low Profile Servo and I'm impressed for $60! It's fast .07 on 8v!

I'm seeing them for $70+. I'd still like to find something in that $40-$50 range.

I recommend the AGFRC B44BLS V2. I run this in my TC01 and it’s pretty quick and offers plenty of power. It’s the same servo I plan to use in my XM01.
I used to run hitec and Savox, but the value and quality is now easily rivaled by more value brands.

Nice video👍 i sometimes use the injora injs014. Roadside rc had a review of it not so long ago. Its cheap, and ok fast, maybe not as precise though. I'd like to see another review sometime🤔.. Hint hint😉

Nice one Rob!!! 👍🏻 Much anticipated as I was waiting for your build of this XM01 😉 Didn’t you find it strange the bearings doesn’t sit fully in the hubs? They do stick out, right?

I think that happened on the XV02 as well. However, when I went to install the double carden front drive shafts, I had to switch bearings to one that was 1mm thinner. I can't recall exactly how it went together, but it was confusing at first.

How is the off-road handling vs the xv? Thx!

I would say it is about 75% as capable as the XV-02. It is just limited by the smaller wheels/tires and chassis size. Very short grass, loose gravel, they do fine.
