The Azores islands are like Ireland very green
How did you find your apartment and what is the cost to rent? Looking for a healthy place to live as I have similar health issues as you. Thank you and love your videos!
Hi Debbie. I’m sorry but am we do not share personal information here but we can help you if you need a good realtor. Portugal is a great place! Best wishes!!
I’ve heard Portugal is a wonderful expat country, especially for couples or retired people.
@@TeresaCook-de6jo yes, it is. It is beautiful, peaceful here and very, very safe. Little to no preservatives or growth hormones. It has made a great impact on my health in a positive way!
We really enjoy your videos. Thanks for posting!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thank you for the info on healthcare!! So helpful. I hope all is okay now for both of you. PS I like the subtitles!

@@americanslivinginportugal Thank you! You as well. 🎄❤💚
First timer - subscribed ! Loved your vlog & your life sounds fabulous. Merry Christmas. I agree on Positano but I actually love the entire Amalfi coast especially during the wine festival season.
Merry Christmas to you, too! Thanks for subscribing!
Olá Crystal & Rob,
It's nice to see another of your videos.
I'm going to share a little Fun Fact with you. Thanksgiving actually started in Canada... we also celebrate it, but in October, as our harvest season is earlier than in the USA. Most 'Americans' don't know this :)
* that could be why the butcher was mistaken. Perhaps he looked up Thanksgiving and found ours.
I've rented a place in Setúbal (with a view of the water) for 3 months... I plan to visit Sesimbra a few times!!
Thanks for sharing all your travel experiences :)
Boa Festas - Boa Natal
Thanks for the information and sorry I bid not realize this. That’s great! Let me know when you are close to us. I think you will love it!
No way! Really? Fun Fact! How could I not no this! 😍
Hi Crystal & Rob,
I've been in Setúbal the past couple of weeks. I haven't made my way to Sesimbra yet, but apparently it's only 1 bus from where I am to there, so planning on a visit as soon as the sun is back out, this weekend.
The cost of living is even cheaper in the islands
The captions didn’t bother me. My hearing is slowly deteriorating, so I’m often caption dependent.
Here is a great video about turning on captions on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/video/Ngf8vgrvdz4/v-deo.html If you need more help, please let me know. 🙂
If you enjoyed Santorini try the Azores islands
@@PedroLamyLaranjeira planning on visiting soon. Thank you!
Golden visa was never really meant for people who want to actually live in Portugal. The Portuguese government has largely retooled the visa by investment, but for anyone wanting to actually live here, it is still easily the worst option.
Hmmm... Can't turn off close captions... It's very distracting
@@upcycledcopycat8389Thanks for letting me know me know!
I agree. Love the content but I have to minimize the video.
I hope you asked for the NHR to pay less taxes in Portugal because it will end in December 2024. In relation to taxes, if you earn more than the average salary of €1200 in Portugal, you will pay a lot
This really only affects high income earners.
You don't lose anything by talking to them
@ if you are tax residents in Portugal. Don't forget that the average salary in Portugal is €1200 and if you haven't planned your taxes you could end up paying up to 48% of your income
