''And you’ll make the tea. A whole pot for the whole gang. And you’ll put out a nice plate of biscuits, chocolate biscuits. And we’ll say: ‘’oh, I shouldn’t!’’ and we’ll all have one. I’ll have four. Then I’ll pat my stomach and I’ll roll my eyes at my own greed. And then we will all laugh, and there will be a momentary awkward silence, we will look out of the window and comment on the unusual meteorological conditions for the time of year. You will refill my cup and I’ll say: ‘’go on then!’’. And then we will talk derogatorily about all our mutual friends in order to further strengthen the irrefutable bond of friendship that we had between us. Before I go you we will make definite plans to see one another again, which we will only loosely adhere to, but this will not matter, because we know that true friendship does not need to be recharged on a regular basis but survives because of the strong foundation on which it is built. After I have gone, you will remark on a many good qualities that I have, and what a good friend I am. And that you are of course concerned that I’m living alone. Put the kettle on!'' - brilliant! :)
What a beautiful film! Like a play from our russian classical literature - about the deep feelings of a lonely person, who tries to cope with his dreary life, but his soul suffered and blooded, and cries for helping hand from anybody! Really generous and noble shoud Colin be like a person and an actor! May be his roleplay will help any lonely oldman, who hasn't got any relatives and very few close friends just for some warm talk and couple cups of tea. Thank you very much, Colin!
This was great. What a Short!!!!! I was looking for another film to watch and I saw this. I must say that not only the acting is great, but so is the script, editing, and directing. Flawless!!!
I did not expect this. I've been on a Firth-a-thon the past month and have been watching what ever I could get my hands on by him. I quite accidentally stumble upon this video last night and watched it. It moved me deeply. The character Colin played was quite a departure and so absolutely believable that he disappeared into the part. (mark of a great actor). I cried for quite a while afterwards. Thank you so much for uploading this powerful piece "Myvideoforfriends".
I've been on a Firth-a-thon since last month and I've realized that Colin Firth is really a brilliant actor. Really really good work ! I loved your expression " Firth-a-thon" :-D that's the correct designation of this
Marina Guilherme Thanks. Yeah, he is quite the actor. So handsome and, sometimes that can be the media's focus. But, as we both can attest, the man has skills.:) And, if you ever catch him on an interview, he's charming, humorous and even a bit self effacing. Had a bit of a crush on him, I must admit. heh
And it is so amazing to meet you ladies here...! I've been on a Firth-a-thon these past 2 weeks myself! I'm on a celebrity-drool-crush stage on Firth now.... again....! While I can't get the elegant Mr. Darcy of the '95 series out of my mind, this desperate-neighbour-Firth has broken barriers of even the Firth from King's speech.. Outstanding performance! OK now, lemme go back to snooping around for more charms by Firth... Keep 'Firthing' ladies!! :)
have you seen him as a villain in "when you go to sleep"? he is georgeous,!! if you feel this performance is wonderful, you are going to love him, hahaha I have crossed feeling cause I love him but that character gave me chills
@@CosmoTuberIsMe That's funny. "Celebrity-drool-crush stage." I totally get that. And, that also lead me to the same conclusions as you and others concerning his acting skills. Interesting though that, if you watch his interviews during this time in his life, he didn't understand how anyone thought he was so attractive...something ELSE that I crushed on. heh.
Oh, well... it was P&P Mashup (ironically then it will be the 'vision' of a Mr. Wickham where Mr. Darcy goes nuts trying to get the attention of Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth Bennet, whom seem to be married)
Thank u soo much for that info . Such a shame I half expected he's going to turn into a phsyco later on in the movie which he would of acted brilliantly as always xx just love him . Great actor !!!!!
Maria Azzopardi Oh yes... we never got enough. As for me, I suspect if not just now, the next he called he'd kill them. Filmmakers choose leave us on the verge; and I may only agree with that. The screenplay btw has much more peaceful mood. In the end we see those three getting quite friendly...
Yes I must watch one of colin's movie every night became so addictive. As for keeping us on the verge ; I can quite happily live with that . I'm also bamboozled with his movie Trauma which the ending makes me wonder if Charlotte is real or not x
Maria Azzopardi He's seldom act as a villain, right, but to see him solely "nice" won't be right. I'd be left with something missing. I grew up on "non-happy-ends" movies. Soppies surely must be labeled as banality, bad taste. Some time it will do, but only sometimes. Such sinister but uncertain ending is the right thing here I think.
I have enjoyed any role he played so far ; when he's good he's very very good & when he's bad he's even better ! I have ordered many movies of his movies of the internet & am determined to own all of his collection . X
May say rather not. The way he speaks is very volatile. Depends on lots of things. Sometimes he's very articulate, sometimes sadly he's chewing words even in interviews, hard to understand. In this film, I might suspect he had someting in his mouth. To get his cheeks a bit plump...
They focused on something on Steve's yellow sweater but I couldn't figure out what it was. Also, someone explain it to me, I think I'm too stupid to get how it wasn't just a drama school exercise.... a really well produced and well acted one, but it made no sense.
@Georgia Alessandra, Well, he's a very good actor, get's great roles *often, gets tonnes of practice,* as many *A-list Briton actors do.* Considering the facts that the culture respects the crafts of Drama and Stage Craft and Playwriting and Screenwriting *so very much,* and they've had *centuries* of such respect and serious study, of course, their very talented actors are indeed worthy of praise but the *fawning that goes on these days is too much.* They're *professional actors, not gods.* They're proficient and very good at their craft and *jobs.* The *brilliance* of *'Pride and Prejudice'* is *Jane Austen's exquisite observation of humans, educational, entertaining, cautionary tales and personal style of writing.* Sure, the productions listed are very good (especially that of the BBC/A&E, 1995, television mini-series) but let's lay the compliments of brilliance where they should be placed. Thanks. :)
I don't have words for how awesome and talented Colin Firth is!
No matter what role Colin plays he is magnificent, totally believable
Colin's portrayal of the 'needy neighbour' is absolutely brilliant!!!
Didn’t know keira could put on such a convincing Scottish accent 😍
Colin Firth!Such an amazing actor, unique talent!!
Colin!!! I 'm just dying with laughter !!! A brilliant artist!!! Brilliant!!! ))))))))))))) БРАВО!!!!!!
Brilliant! What a great actor Colin is. Wow...
It's fantastic to discover that there are actors who have much better done jobs than the most publicized...
Brilliant perfomance by Colin!!
this is a seriously very good and meaningful story! especially colin's last dialogue. brilliant!
Had to watch it again. Colin Firth is absolutely brilliant... or a nutter.

Beautiful !!!!!
Colin Firth is the completely genius Actor!!!
I want to everyday talking with Colin Firth

Елена Логунова what is the play called?
Brilliantly acted by Colin Firth..
This was great. What a Short!!!!!
I was looking for another film to watch and I saw this. I must say that not only the acting is great, but so is the script, editing, and directing. Flawless!!!
It's absolutely brilliant ! Colin is perfect, as always ;)
Yes you can say that !!!!!! I wait for the postman like crazy delivering Colin's movies . Awesome !!!!!!

Colin brilliant in this role as Steve
コリンファースさんは、マークダーシーはもちろんのこと、偉人、悪人、奇人その他諸々を演じても素晴らしい❗大好きです😆🎵🎵🙆❤️❤️
cant stop watching this!!
I like her Scottish accent lol
she's amazing!
Keira continues to be bloody brilliant. Accent spot on.
"since I paid the mortgage yesterday it's my fucking front door this month anyway!" ... loooooool
I don't know why but I've seen this like 10 times already

It looks a though Elizabeth has left Mr. Darcy for Mr. Bingley and now he wants to make it up with her.
Firth is also John, the angry man on the phone, isn't he?
well Mr.Darcy 1995, Mrs.Bennet 2005 and Mr.Wickam 2005 lol
George Tada Miss Bennet*
Ans it's not Mr. Wickham from the 2005 it's Mr. Bingley from Lost in Austen (2008)
Ayelén Vegagil Espósito I think he meant the director. Well, there's also Mr. Bingley.
Oh, well... it was P&P Mashup (ironically then it will be the 'vision' of a Mr. Wickham where Mr. Darcy goes nuts trying to get the attention of Mr. Bingley and Elizabeth Bennet, whom seem to be married)
It is awesome to see Elizabeth from 2005 meeting mr. Darcy from 1995
and Mr. Bingley from 2008 Lost in Austen, directed by Mr Wickham from the 2005 version
Colin is just a true bloomin' gent! Keira's got spunk here & for a short it has a lot of moxie! Been searching all over the 'nets for this!
Obsessed with Rupert friend
Wonderful, best actor ever ❤❤❤❤
Poor, lonely Steve. Poor, scared couple about to be chopped into bits.
Thank u soo much for that info . Such a shame I half expected he's going to turn into a phsyco later on in the movie which he would of acted brilliantly as always xx just love him . Great actor !!!!!

Go ahead! I've got all of them, eventually, lol.
Hei GANG !! Lmao Colin 😂
..bright, and delicate :')
wuhhhh... i started to love drinking tea becoz of my Colin...hahaha
awesome!!
Keira is brilliant here
Gosh pride and prejudice cast in all versions. In one screen i just died.
Thank you for upload this ! Great !!!!!
Oh wow that was actually pretty intense, made me kinda sad for him
So we have, Mr Darcy from 1995 and Elizabeth and Wickham from 2005 in one scene.
So funny! Keira/Rupert/colin a fantastic trio!
The trio is with Tom Mison, not Rupert 😀
Fabulous!)
Thanks
yes, her mother is from Glasgow.
He reminds me of Mr. Collins from Pride and prejudice
thanks a lot!
Colin Firth just went all Bernard Black on them..
well keira's got scottish blood, so i would not be a surprise for her great accent
Marvel "pride and prejudice" multiverse
Is that how Colin really speaks? He's very formal.
May say rather not. The way he speaks is very volatile. Depends on lots of things. Sometimes he's very articulate, sometimes sadly he's chewing words even in interviews, hard to understand.
In this film, I might suspect he had someting in his mouth. To get his cheeks a bit plump...
+Myvideoforfriends I see
Crazy movie
Look at what Mr. Wickham's done to Mr. Darcy, he made a needy neighbor while Miss Elizabeth's together with Mr. Bingley. Haha
JFNQUEEN seems Mr. Wickham has finally taken revenge from Mr. Darcy. ☺
The title is very misleading. It makes it seem like Rupert is playing a role in this, when he's only directing.
Lisa Zoria zz
Can someone please tell me if the movie Steve by Colin Firth is a short movie ? Xx
Maria Azzopardi
You've seen here all of the movie "Steve". It IS a short move.
I can't find the song anywhere :( :( :(
Won't you dance - Emine Parhasan
Super like
Thought Worst Friend was in it, go watch him in a shirt film on here called Stryka, it's brilliant
Lol great short film
Muito bom, 👏👏👏❤
Rupert Friend looks so different! My only point of reference is the Young Victoria though :P
Which part is Rupert in? I can only see Colin and Tom :(
+Albatross21
It's one-part short movie. Rupert Friend is not involved as an actor, he's a director of this film.
+Andjela Tatarovic Oh I guess I thought Tom was Rupert lol!
+Andjela Tatarovic yeah looking at in now I don't know how I mixed it up lol!
@@forevergreenning a really wonderful director!!
это отрывок из фильма? что это за фильм подскажите пожалуйста!
Это весь фильм. Короткометражный. Так и называется - Steve.
www.imdb.com/title/tt1754539/reference
No,it's a short film.
Бедный Стив. Никто не зовет его попить чаю 😢 и не спрашивает,какие фильмы он любит
7:09 best
Rupert Friend???
it's irish.
ээ вообще ничего не поняла.. может кто-то объяснит сюжет, идею или хоть что-нибудь? please
It's about loneliness and seeking a little company from others.
Perhaps in a particular way...
Isn't her mother Scottish?
hahahahaah why have i never seen this
They focused on something on Steve's yellow sweater but I couldn't figure out what it was.
Also, someone explain it to me, I think I'm too stupid to get how it wasn't just a drama school exercise.... a really well produced and well acted one, but it made no sense.
This movie is alright, but i don't find anything wonderful about it.
summer summers maybe if you watched the three adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (1995, 2005, 2008), you'll like it.
