- On a recent trip, we visited Descanso Gardens. Due to a deluge of rain early in the season the blooms are delayed by at least 2 weeks. The garden was beautiful and I found a new plant to add to my garden...Euphorbia! I may have missed it if the roses had been in bloom.

It really is!! It’s probably one of the most enchanting places I know of in the LA County. The Oaks are Majestic year round, and the camelias that are currently in bloom are also so incredibly beautiful.
Your high-def filming is perfect here! Beautiful views. I have two mystery roses; one is a pink/peach Grandiflora that looks like a 'Peace' rose. It was in the ground when we moved here. The blooms are the size of my hand. The other was supposed to be a Climbing Don Juan (one of two), but was clearly mislabeled. It's a single petal red climber. No clue what it is. I love them both. What's life without a little mystery, no? :)
It's too bad CA is so gloomy this year so no roses blooming/budding until June this year. We kept waiting for Mr Sun!!! But TY for the Tulips and Lilacs. I love lilacs but don't have room in my small/narrow garden. TY for another great video of your garden visit

I visit Descanso often (we got sucked into buying their annual pass...lol). Roses had not started to bloom yet (at least when the tulip/daffodil were blooming). I assume it's because our weather this spring has been much colder than prior years so some things have been delayed in blooming.
