- Here is my 3 day perch trip at the 87th street North Slip! It 100% DID NOT disappoint and even tho they’re small fish, it’s an absolute BLAST to fish!

Nice! I’m hooked on perch fishing now lol some people have been telling me there are big perch at navy pier and Montrose right now
@@JaySunfish shall we??
@@fish.chicago thinking about it, north slip seems the easiest, then the parking situation at Montrose is pretty easy just gotta pay for it, navy pier I’ve never been to
@@JaySunfishthere are actually spots at montrose where you don’t need to pay lol navy pier is expensive af 😂
You kept four, what about all the baby fish you threw on the floor?
@@mlmc8795 there was a family next to us from an hour south of Chicago that said they would take them and use them to add to their animal feed so we gave them to them
If you are pulling fish out from depths of 30’ most will not survive if you throw them back because of barotrauma. Barotrauma is a pressure-related injury that occurs when fish are reeled up from deep water too quickly, causing the gas in their swim bladders to expand and potentially burst.
You’d be better off keeping them. Hopefully you know this but I thought I saw some of your released fish floating.
@@uwfishmd unfortunately there’s quite a number of fish floating all day every day over there
Those are tiny why did you not throw them back???
@@maddogguzman3961 because had I not given them to that family that was going to use them, I still would have used them myself and ground them up into a paste to make excellent fish sticks
@fish.chicago your not supposed to take any small fish be carefully what you make on video it can be used by the DNR!!
@ I appreciate it! I always abide by state law, fortunately in this case, where I’m at, fishing Lake Michigan on the Illinois side, there is no size limit, only a daily harvest limit of 15 fish a day.
Looks like bait. Let them grow up. One decent one at about 8:55.
