I had to go through many perms as a child because my mother wanted me to. Well it wasn’t a good idea, and even my uncle, who was a great stylist, would never let me sit in solution for longer than 15-30 minutes (my mom always tried to have him leave it on longer.) My mother didn’t agree and one time left me in solution for over an hour… I lost soo much hair and had horrible chemicals burns I’m the middle of summer…

She was getting a curly perm not a relaxer. I stopped going to salons when I stopped using chemicals in my hair. Before that I was programmed that you should go to professionals for chemical services but believe me not all of them are competent in every kind of service but some won’t admit it. I have had both curly perms and relaxers. Some stylists will belittle you when you question them because they have the “education” and you don’t. Make you feel intimidated to speak up after that. I remember distinctly asking some not to put certain products in my hair and they would do it anyway. I would have to wash my hair the next day.
Lord I remember being so tender headed as a kid, the idea of *two hours* is wild!!!
The same thing happened to my girl. They were busy and left her sitting under a dryer with chemicals far too long. She had hair burned so much that it was matter to her scalp almost like superglue. She’s young and non confrontational so she paid and left without saying anything until she came to my house and showed me. It’s was awful. Workers need to pay attention, they could cause permanent damage, their negligence is not even funny. Smdh
The plaintiff oh. Her scalp on the side.
“The least bad burn you can get”. If you burned them. You already screwed up
. I’m glad she was able to get some justice
There's a lot of desperation in the defendant's voice & demeanor trying to salvage some dignity and reputation.
She was definitely trying to keep from drowning. 😂😂😂
What? So she put her under the dryer with relaxer in her hair!!?? My thing is, if the stylist has a head full of weave, LEAVE! lol
She was getting a curly perm not a relaxer. Typically these are different chemicals and there is a secondary process in a curly perm not used in a relaxer where they put you under the dryer with perm rods and a solution in the hair. Usually like 30 minutes. This woman didn’t know what she was doing.
She has such soft looking hair I don't think it really would need anything except wash and go 😕 she has beautiful hair ❤❤
Because it’s soft?
From the time Judge Judy smiles like that, you know it's over!
“Allegedly???” LOOK AT HER HAIR
Neutralised on MONDAY 😮😮😮
2 days later 😮😮😮
Shocking disgraceful sentence from a -so called - hairdresser....
The actual audacity to even defend this is pure 🤡 behaviour...
Two hours? OH no. And under the dryer?? That's wild af.
Whenever I used to get a perm, as soon as it started to burn.. my stylist would wash it out. Like 10-15 minutes or so.
I can't even imagine.
2:54 I love monologues in JJ 😂😂
“It’s not show and tell” 😂😭 lmao
I’m a hair stylist. Perm chemicals should not be on more than 20 minutes. This is beyond astounding and that woman should not be practicing hair styling in any form.
Five hour wait, three plus hours with chemicals in your head 😮, burning 😮😮😮😮, she doesn’t care 😮this lady need to be shut down🤨
Brava! Good for you! These Black hairdressers and hair salon culture is something else!
War Eagle🦅 Roll Tide🐘 😂
This salon owner is unprofessional! She shouldn’t even be in business !
The lady was neglected and forgotten about bc of how she looked. The hairdresser discriminated against her and just forgot about her and left her in the chair and did not check on her hair. I feel truly sad for the plaintiff. She was severely mistreated to the point of suffering a chemical burn! Unbelievable
I’ve never known anyone to have perm in their hair for 2 hours.
Perm relaxer are different
@@skylarjaxx2399 does perm take that long?
The lady with bangs behind the plaintiff’s lectern, her expressions as the description of the perm went on were mine.
The defendant thought she was gonna talk her way out of this one! Happy for the plaintiff!
That look on the plaintiffs face at the end was far too smug 😂😂😂
Ohhh, there's no question the defendant burned the plaintiff's scalp. She has some nerve leaving the plaintiff under the dryer for over an hour with the chemicals still in her hair, and she steps away to have Thanksgiving leftovers and watch TV. If you're working, you're supposed to be working, not in the break room.
There is no way I will be under a dryer for an hour and 20 minutes! No way!
You fried the ladys scalp 😮
She should have her license taken
Can imagine how many heads shes F up 😢
The craziest thing said in this case is the husband “getting his hair cut”🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Why was I looking behind him to see who reacted 😂😂😂.
It’s a complex construction on his head attempting to partially hide his baldness , needs a lot of maintenance 😂
Letting her perm sit in someone's head for a 1 hour and some minutes and didn't get in until 3 pm, her appointment was at 10 am. Very unprofessional! I would've washed that perm out of the head of my DM self!
The defendant lying 😂😂 if you didn't see her on Saturday why tell her to come in Monday to treat the scalp..now bye bye 😂😂
Wow! If the solution starts tingling, it's time to neutralize and wash it out. Actually, it should never come to that point. It should be dealt with before it starts eating. smh. 2 hours under a hot dryer with chemicals eating your scalp?! It's a wonder the woman has any hair left at all. :(
