Especially in Asia, it was common for such personalities to be invested into mostly gardening or farming to some extent for peace of mind
For anybody who loves Vagabond and the history of Miyamoto Musashi, try reading his teachings, he had really good life philosophies that will carry you through more than just slicing dudes in half. Fun fact, the translated book for The Book of Five Rings by William Scott Wilson actually talks about lots of his duels that resulted in his win were won with wooden swords. His blows were so deadly that he didn't need an edge to his sword, he had his mind and his body.

Vagabond is based on novel written by Eiji Yoshikawa titled Musashi and it's already finished long time ago, it's a bit strange to say he cant think a way to finish vagabond when the sources is ready to be adapted

This manga felt different every page I read I'm taken into the realm of the character's journey makes me feel kind of sad that I'll never amount to such wonderful characters Takehiko Inoue really knows how to make the world colorful
Oh the vibe is way different you progress through his teens to his later years and you see him become the beast he is in Baki but its lot more grounded and real not exaggerated like in Baki. Defo be sure to read it. Edit: I recently watched the live adaptation of "Miyamoto Musashi(2014)" and i have to say Vagabond blows it off hard.
