Because a warriors temperament is truly tested in the fields when it comes to becoming one with the nature. It's a recurring theme and many times a common instance for great warriors to be invested into arts that require great patience such as gardening or painting. Once they acquire the patience from that is when their true potential lies in their vision. For anybody who loves Vagabond and the history of Miyamoto Musashi, try reading his teachings, he had really good life philosophies that will carry you through more than just slicing dudes in half. Fun fact, the translated book for The Book of Five Rings by William Scott Wilson actually talks about lots of his duels that resulted in his win were won with wooden swords. His blows were so deadly that he didn't need an edge to his sword, he had his mind and his body.

Growing old is realising you were too young when you read vagabond. I think I'll restart again. Once again. With more heart.

do it. when you are young its amazing for its action and the art. but when you grow older, just like musashi did, then you understand him way more

Wow. One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite TV shows with one of the most influential Seinen manga. Now I have to read Vagabond. Maybe I'll give it a go after Fire Force, Chainsaw man and a few others.
