Yeah the drawer was literally horrible, just felt like actual clutter and extra unnecessary steps to gearing up when gearing up already takes a bit long sometimes.
balance on tractor beam is great finally it looks better and you can feel difference between boxes and it's still magical-beam but at least it feels a little bit more real so good job
Great video, I like the new changes to inventory because it minimizes the steps to get my armor thus saving me time. Couple of questions, what armor is that and where did you get it, how did you get the FPS meter in the upper right of the UI? I used the r_displayinfo_1 and I got a TON of other information, lastly which version of the MPUV are you using? Thanks appreciate the content!
To be honest I quite miss the draw as I’d just got use to it. You may as well revert back completely to the old system as it makes the console a bit pointless now 😄
Fills me with joy that we can request/store ship components via the elevator. Buying and selling components to other players is now a valid mini-loop in the game. Also, you can upgrade your ship without having to use the mobiglass interface. Actually, that would be a test I would like to see. Does replacing components manually persist the components when you store the ship and log out?!
I guess I am in the minority- I really prefer the old inventory view. Still way better than the loot screen that you can't do things from (like drop items). They still need to figure out what we're supposed to do when looting. It's really a mess to loot bodies, loot boxes.. all of it. We simply can't carry much on our characters if we're already kitted up for a mission.
What it should be is, instead of a draw on the left screen, it should be either a 3d model of your character, to attach gear. Or, a tab system like the new loot ui that let's you place gear that fits into those categories
Hi IS! Well, still I would like that CIG wend back to 3.19 and rethink the whole mess! MM, Item banks etc. I rather have the paper back window all the time instead of the BS Item banks, and change my stuff when I feel like it, and yeah okay, they can fix with the UI you liked! the immersive part I dont care about, as i want to play the game and not use most of my time with time sinks on time sinks and old bugs on top of years old bugs! Once the game is running smoothly with server stability and far less bugs, then perhaps they can adjust, but right now, I am not happy!

i just got access to the PU and the drawer was removed. is amazing to me that no one clued into the paper doll of the new inventory. the drawer should have brought up the NPC looting UI, so that people could one button equip entire loadout. the whole thing is a debacle of people trying to stop CIG from making a new type of anything. it's really weird, it's like watching someone fight the concept of a hammer by using the claw side to drive in a nail, then acting fake frustrated yelling "this doesn't work" "it's horrible" "makes no sense". it's like watching a kid in a toy isle. i try to solve issues and waste my time figuring out solutions to make a vision that wasn't even mine to begin with work, just to have children crying over dolls and basic concepts of living in a physical world like something staying in a drawer you put in in until you pick it up later. like a coffee cup in a forest.... it's like they were confused as to what the basic concept of the game even was and refuse to accept it to the point of social manipulation tactics to gain upvotes on spectrum and Reddit. at this point i doubt the issue is that the UI is partially hidden. new UI has to be swapped to, then "Tab" used to switch to paper doll loadout screen. issues like simply dropping items just hasn't been fixed either. pretty sure "test groups" had it abandoned. will get to witness the fight of the physical in the upcoming updates. CIG said they wanted to do away with inventories entirely. Augmented reality is a step behind that. a step which might keep some relevance, if physical loot boxes (med boxes were previewed) ever make it in. i'm at the point of just ranting on rando algorithm videos that youtube is pushing me about SC inventories. i'm really almost at the point of checking out completely. i've seen what communities can do to live service games. companies say the games have "cycles", but that's not entirely true.
