Just like using the wood ash from the fireplace and a little water to make a paste works far better in cleaning the crud off the glass far better than any of the garbage made for the purpose from the store.

one secret to growing figs Never prune the tree,(or wait if you need to til deep winter) if you cut a branch the entire tree will not produce fruit the next year so if you are pruning,there is your answer

I make fig vinegar, it's delicious. I have also canned figs, and dried them. They can also be frozen
