Hi there, I've just sent you a message in a more recent video, but this is what I'm referring to in that message. I have this system at home, currently missing the keypad + siren.
I have everything else installed, apparently still working, but missing these parts. I am lost to know if I can reactivate it by buying a new keypad + siren and reinstalling the cables or if I am obligated to pay for monthly service from the previous company that installed it (currently, there's also a line set to call the police immediately, i believe - not working either).

    This takes me way back.
I use to install the Ademco and FBI Panels back in 1985 while I was in High School.
Thanks for the memories and for reminding me how old I am. LoL

Is there an quick and easy way to find which resistor's are needed for your board? Like a spot on the panel?

Nice one. Honeywell gives you a lot of room to work in the panel.

+Jeff Moss Thanks! Which systems do you usually use that offer less room?

I don't do alarm work myself but I work in IT for a company that does - I've seen a lot of smaller panels like the GE/Caddx that just don't give you room to work.

+Jeff Moss Ah, interesting. We sure do love Honeywell systems!

One comment from this is I know this is an upgrade so you had no control on the original install.
Instead of a siren, we would install just the speaker outside and a separate electronic driver system circuit board in the panel because during the winter sometimes the siren wouldn't work because of the extreme cold.
Maybe that problem doesn't exist today with better components.

Dear friend...i have one question maybe you can help....System Vista 120.....If a master code (at position 02) creates another user with authority level 1 (master) on position 06 how do you delete the master code on 06 position? The manual says that same authority users cannot delete other users....

The Level 0: Installer code can add, delete, change all security level codes.

If I don't want a "solid" intrusion and "pulsed" fire sound, how can I split up the signals to a 2 channel siren driver?

    • @juliaross1667

Notlaw47 Which siren driver are you using? Is it a voice siren driver? Most of the Siren Drivers I've seen know to provide the Fire message when given a pulsed input, and the Burg message when given the steady input. If you need a steady only input, or a pulsed only input, the only way to get this from the panel would be to program a separate output (such as a trigger, or a relay depending on which panel you have).

Julia Ross I appreciate your input. It is a Revere R200SDF/M5. It is fairly typical of most 2 channel drivers that offer multiple tones (or voices) via dip switches. I haven't see a driver that will convert solid to one and pulse to another (except when the "siren" is simply a solid tone and pulses on and off with fire voltage) as a bell would. Unfortunately many of the new panels do not have dual trigger or dry contact relays. Actually I haven't found a single one. When a customer does not want a built in communicator (central station monitored $$), there is an option (such as USP AD2001) but it requires two separate outputs, one for burg, and one for fire. Alas, gone are the days of "local" alarm panels with relay out put so it is the customer's choice.

Notlaw47 Honeywell made the 745X3 then the 745VSD3 that could recognize the pulsing input and provide the Fire Voice message, and with a steady input, give the Burg Voice message. The dips were mostly used to determine which language the voice spoke in. Unfortunately, they've stopped making both of those

Julia Ross True. I have installed many MOOSE MPI-50 panels, some ARITECH, several FBI, and ADEMCO to name a few. Alas, those days are gone and so are the "straight forward" panels.

+MICHAEL JOVELLANOS The 21iP has a built-in Ethernet connection for AlarmNet monitoring options.

MICHAEL JOVELLANOS The difference between the two boards are significantly noticeable as far as looks and size go.

Mira este video para ver el retraso de salida ua-cam.com/video/3W3G7Ry0Kxo/v-deo.html. El retraso de entrada se establece de la misma manera, pero en el campo 35.
