This is the sound of getting into the Flow State in the most painful way possible. Like pulling an anxiety-riddled all-nighter to get SOMETHING done, and coming out with one of the best assignments the professor's ever seen. You're satisfied with the end result but you still don't know if it was worth it. Apparently, everyone else thinks so, even if they don't know _exactly_ what you went through to get there.

(not rlly a vent bellow but it is a little personal) As a former gifted kid (who had to work hard but most people thought it was natural talent) this really hits home, cause at some point you see that all the trying doesnt really get you any special results. It just means things get to keep being as they are, and maybe that's not so great. So you stop trying so hard- and then you feel as if everything is slipping past your fingers and you desperately try to work yourself back into the grind but you can't cause you don't enjoy it anymore, so you do it as the comment says: getting into the flow state by force sometimes it helps to be exhausted cause then I don't have the energy to focus on any standards, on anything beyond the task needing to be done
I love how the instrumental parts and vocals provoke totally different feelings within me - powerful and striving vs. hopeless and spent - but it goes so well together as a combo and just makes absolute sense. I don't know how, but they did it

Fall out boy, why would you have done that. It wasn't your creativity for which to recieve credit... Look it up. It was this whole thing.
