What i loved most about this movie, was that it was one of the very few times where the roles are reversed, and they make the guy the victim. Not all troubled relationships are the guys fault, there are allot of men in the world who go infinity and beyond to get notice by women, or try to make a relationship special and meaningful. Not all guys are just some generic douche that just wants a one night stand.
yess!! at first I underestimated the movie and thought that it's just another meaningless sex movie and the girl gonna fall in love with a douche but when I knew Natalie is the main character, I gave it a chance and was blown away, I LOVEEE the character so much, I'm glad they make the girl the complex one and the guy the mature one.
This scene explains the difficulty of my relationship with my close friend. We hug, cuddle, hold hands, and kiss, but only in private. Our friends know it's obvious but keeps asking me why don't I ask her out, because of this scene exactly. She liked what we had so I never asked her, and it's exactly this reason why I nvr asked her out, cuz I knew it would end. I didn't want that. She did it because she thought it wasn't fair I was doing 90% of the relationship while she gave only 5%. After 5 years to be wasted. She is just like Natalie Portman in this scene and I'm Ashton. I'm fully dedicated but she's dead scared of having a future and thinks she can do everything herself and don't need anybody to help her. I hate how she sees things in different ways and gets scared and easily gives up. It was the worst time I've experienced since 6 years ago. My problem is that I'm too loyal and she wasn't, she wouldn't be loyal to our relationship and gave up as easily as possible when things didn't seem to workout. It's only been 1 whole day since that incident. It's like waking up in hell knowing that the person who once loved u is no longer in your life. And there's nothing I can do about it but move on, but it's easier said than done.
I really wish our situation would end kinda like how this movie ended, except the hospital part, but it would be extraordinary if she came to her senses and wanted to be with me and actually change for the better. Or else I just hope I don't have to go thru that crappy pain again and actually have someone who cares about me fully back, and not just below 10% because that would be awesome. I really hope it only gets better from here. But for now, gonna dread life without her.

The only part of the movie that doesn't seem to capture reality is the ending. There are girls with commitment issues out there (not just guys can have this problem) and they woulnd't go back after having broken up. You can't overcome these issues just like that and be happy for the rest of your life. It takes a huge amount of work for either side of the relationship. But that's always the moment when the movies end...

But then you most likely find a partnership with a different person, because the first one has probably moved on as well. It's just this Hollywood trope that you have to end up together because the audience already knows the couple and their chemistry. But I think in most real life cases it wouldn't go down as it does in this story.

One very important thing before making a big decision is understanding yourself and people in general. Know what situation you're getting into and be honest. Yet God showed me mercy and lead me to my husband, even when I had given up all hope and had no expectations. I didn’t even love my husband and wanted to reject him for a long time after meeting him. Eventually, we became platonic friends and he has always remained my respectful and caring friend, even when I rejected him and caused him pain because I wasn’t interested. Then, I fell for his soul, and then I had a choice - either way I was fine with both, but then I decided to give him a chance. Twelve years, 2 years later, since we first met online and then met in person, we are now married and about to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. It was my choice to marry him and for some women, they choose never to marry.
