Good evening from Scotland ❤ I have 2 German Shepherds and used to live in black jeans, baggy t-shirts and leggings because of the muddy walks and hair! But after watching many of your presentations i can't believe how my wardrobe is starting to look more beige, white and lights, which would have been a no-no in the past, and do you know what my washing machine brings them back to their original colour and you don't see the dog hair so much 😂 Thanks for another film full of facts. I just have to thank you for this video, and showing and recommending the Frank Mully shoe. My young adult daughter has a difficul- to-fit foot. From babyhood til now it has been IMPOSSIBLE to find a shoe that fits and is comfortable for her. She was a bridesmaid in a wedding last weekend, and when I saw this video, I immediately ordered a couple of different sizes (half size apart)/colors of the shoe colors to match the dress. It was so satisfying to watch her try on both shoes, proclaim them comfortable, and wanted to keep both! Today she went off to work, not in the typical New Balance athletic shoe, but in one of these flats, looking super stylish. Thank you so much! I just can't tell you how happy this has made me! 😊

Hi, liked the video. I live in Spain, summers very hot and humid, so pleased you read out some of the materials, I cannot wear polyester, does not breathe and causes me to have rivers of sweat. So I go for cottons, viscose. Liinen looks awful as creases terribly in the humidity. Love your masterclass body shape videos.

Nice pieces. I’ve noticed there is a lot of polyester on Amazon. Personally I avoid it because I sweat enough and I don’t find it breathable. Oddly though it’s often described on Amazon as a breathable fabric 🤷♀️
I'm afraid you get what you pay for so that means a lot of polyester on there!!
You’re so right…polyester is not hot temperature friendly! I live in N. Central Texas, and almost passed out from the heat in a loose flowing shirt and thin jeans and sandals, even after I got into the air conditioning. It’s like it retained the body heat. Had to excuse myself to the restroom and splash my face and neck, then go in the stall and take the top off for awhile. That’s when a woman informed me that it was the polyester that doesn’t breathe at all.

Thank you so much for this video… I’m going on an Alaskan cruise at the end of July and this particular capsule wardrobe, although I won’t be taking the shorts and crop outfits, the cargo jacket, joggers, sweaters will work in with some of the other things I’m planning on taking while I’m on ship. I’ve been following you for about 6 months now and I love the fact that you do all shapes and sizes and all ages, because I am 61, I am pear shape, and in the 16-18 size. Lovely ideas and explanations. My issue with white/ cream neutrals is I have silver hair and fair skin tone and wearing white near my face makes me disappear. My neutral is navy and coordination blues. Makes my hair and blue eyes pop,but, I wish I could carry off those yummy creams.

I am 41 this month and I still don't know what to look for and buy when I go shopping, which usually means I end up with lots of random pieces but no real outfits 🙃 I am loving the way you show and explain everything, and you don't speak to fast!! Just returned from Europe and the Hat featured was so good I put it upside down in my suitcase and filled the inside with a belt and some bras it kept its shape beautifully. I also took with me the smaller straw bag and used it during the day and the evening, not too big but perfect size for carrying all your bits and pieces. Love all the outfits and tips especially as they are from Amazon❤ x

This is so timely. I opened the amazon app earlier to look for a summer dress then closed it again as there are sooooo many to choose from. Hi Melissa and team. Really enjoyed this Amazon haul. Wanted to order everything but set myself a budget. The basket bag, clip and hat were, i thought, really good quality for the price. Order the co-ord and that was great for the price too. Not to thick for a cooler summer day. Ordered the single coin necklace as well. However will be returning that. Kept coming undone. Otherwise all items were absolutely brilliant. Wish i had a bigger budget. 😂 Thankyou so much for doing all the hard work for us. 👍❤

Your styling tips for each body shape are fantastic. Thank you sooooo much! I'm built like an offensive guard with massive shoulders and menopause boobs for days. It's tough to find flattering clothing options in Switzerland. I ordered the alternate jumper at 7:05 and it's fabulous. I got the XL and went back to order a couple of other colours once it arrived and I saw how well it fit. I never would have considered Amazon for any clothing options before. A wardrobe edit is in the works.

As much as I love the cut of the V Neck Tunic Dress I'm looking for one that isn't 100% polyester. If you find one, please post! I live in California and I'm looking for summer dresses that can handle the heat, not just for home but for vacation. I know that polyester is light weight and easy to pack but not so great for hot weather as it doesn't breathe and holds onto odors. Thank you - love your channel.

No, because you never just look at one item, you style from the head to the toes to recreate the hourglass frame. If you watch this Sundays video you’ll see how I do that one a lady with a larger apron stomach. X
Hi, I just wanted to share with everyone that I purchased the button down white beach cover up and I’m really happy with it ! It was of course very wrinkled (arrives in a bag) so I washed it on a silk program (30* 400 spin, short cycle) to see how it did. I was really pleasantly surprised !! It came out of the machine looking like a crinkle material, in perfect form, no wrinkles/folds . It isn’t dry yet but I imagine it will be fine.

Love the information but question about coloring. I love all the neutrals on you as they are terrific with your blonde hair and tan. However, I am fair skinned, dark short hair and blue eyes and as much as love the neutral I’m concerned they would look drab and muddy with my coloring. Can you discuss coloring choices to consider around neutrals and use for those with different coloring. Thank you.

I don't own any beige coloured clothes because they make me look washed out and I just don't like them on me, but after learning a lot from this channel I have purchased more white/cream items, especially to layer. Just that one thing has made my wardrobe much more versatile! I like pastel colours for my version of neutral ;) my colour palette is mostly navy, white, pastel pink and pastel blue. I do have nude coloured shoes which go with all my clothes
Hi Melissa. I am in California. I watch and re-watch your channel and love it. I have a question about a specific issue I haven’t seen covered. The front tuck that is so popular (also known as the French tuck) shows a slimmer front angle but for me, I have a major issue with my profile (I am a pear turning Apple due to menopause). So I feel that the front tuck helps when I view the front but then I turn to the side and eek! Any ideas or thoughts on how to combat that?

Just look for your widest point and use that as the starting point of the hourglass frame. So if it’s around your middle (for example) you need to broaden your shoulders and broaden your hips to recreate the points of the hourglass then the stomach area will look smaller. Hope that helps.
How heavy are the espadrille sandals? Sometimes they are quite heavy, and then straps seem to cut the skin. (P.S. Thank you for another fab video!)

Does ankle length tapered pants suits a 5’3 height. Like the brown pants you’re wearing? I feel like it makes the legs look shorter?
I'm only 5ft 3 so hopefully the answer is yes!!! If you take the height off the bottom of your frame (by wearing an ankle grazer), all you have to do is regain the height elsewhere by tucking in.
I wonder how these shoulder pads stay put? Great advice as always Melissa.
They have a bit of Velcro on that sandwiches between your bra strap which then holds them in place.

It’s the wrong cut of clothes that don’t balance out a figure that will make you look larger, not necessarily the colour. Including white or some sort of neutral is the only way you’ll achieve a cohesive wardrobe. Have a look at any of my body shape masterclasses where I dress women of all different shapes and sizes live on the channel (they range from a size 12-22) and you’ll see that lighter colours dominate every single one of them!
