Damn what an epic adventure from start to finish! Costa Rica is definitely a place high on my list! It looked like such an incredible experience riding those horses through the forest, it must have been so nice! That definitely looked like a rustic waterslide! Very beautiful experience!

Pura Vida! I love Costa Rica. Got a few friends there. One of the last trips before the lockdowns happened. Such a beautiful country. Lol I don't blame you on saying Merci. When I travel between countries I sometimes slip up with using the language I just left from. The resort looks gorgeous. Rather huge too. I love ziplining! Processing sugar cane wow! It's fascinating how weather can affect the creation of pottery. Love horseback riding. Oh that food looks amazing. Makes me miss the food in Costa Rica. That water slide looked awesome!!! What a beautiful waterfall. The most intense thumb war of all time. Finishing with a hot spring. What a perfect day.

Thank you so much sir!! We were in Ecuador in 2020 volunteering. Loved that country!! Without hesitating, find your way to Costa Rica! There is not nicer and more welcoming people in the world...and we're Canadian lol!
We flew into Quito via Miami. We slept overnight at the airport hotel and the next morning we travelled 7 hours by bus into the Amazon Basin to Tena. Just outside of Tena we boarded a riverboat taxi on the Rio Napo for an hour to the Minga Lodge, volunteering with Me to We. After spending a week with the locals, we travelled to Coca where we boarded a plane back to Quito. It was a trip we would do again in a heartbeat. Hopefully we get to the Galapagos sometime.
As far as cost for Costa Rica compared to Ecuador, I would say its more expensive. This is because of the high level of tourism however. This was our first time and took the "Tourist" route, but next time we will be more individual in our adventures. By the looks of your travels, I am sure you would find the deals and inexpensive ways to travel Costa Rica.
