When I visited Hyderabad in 2016 from Bangalore, it was obvious that they had put a lot of effort into building the infrastructure on which to build their tech hub on top of. The area was segmented from the city and connected by well planned roads. A few big anchors like Microsoft, Capgemini and jp Morgan had begun to fill out the space and there was room to grow. This obviously delayed the speed in which the city could expand, but would lead to long term sustainability. Bangalore by contrast, had moved very quickly on building out the tech parks with little or no planning on connectivity and infrastructure. This obviously led to Bangalore accelerating out of the gate but has led to an enormous issue with horrendous traffic and productivity loss. It will be interesting to see if Bangalore can move quickly and resolve it's problems, or if it will become the victim of its early success. It certainly is a mess right now with half finished projects littering the congested streets
Bangalore is getting India's second largest metro with 180 Kms by 2026. Also, the suburban rail will be active soon. Hyderabad is a dead city now. No investments nothing, people are selling houses and moving to Bangalore for better prospects, that is the reason you see too much traffic. I met two families who sold mansions in Hyderabad to get a 3-4 bedroom apartment in Bangalore. They feel it is useless to have even a palace in Hyderabad because there's no real estate, the weather is like a Desert weather.
I guess you missed the biggest startup from Hyderabad…which started in Hyderabad but then shifted their head office to Seattle….a unicorn from 2020 and soon to become Centaur….ZENOTI still have 70% of its employees working from Hyderabad
Resident of hyderabad. Infra is good large roads. But traffic is bad travel times are longer. Main roads may be good. But inner roads have pot holes water logging problems
Have lived Hyderabad and know how bad is infra there. When Ivanka trum was visiting, KCR did the renovation of roads in hitech City in 3 days. City itself in location where fhere is no weekend gateways. One thing I loved, people (Telgu) were very nice to everyone and very welcoming.

Yes traffic is indeed an imp task which must be solved in bluru keeping in mind that it has 1.3 crore population and has spiked drasticallyin recent years where as Hyderabad has 1 crore population . But you must also know that IT started way back in 1985. Bengaluru's startup ecosystem is valued more than Singapore and tokyo and it is number 1 destination for venture capital funds in India. There is lot of greenery in and around the city . And state is encouraging many stratups. So i would say Bengaluru is still best with few challenges. ✌️✌️

It is not "our" power. Most companies in "our" city are powered by people coming from other states. Better build indigenous startups by working with local people. Companies are built by people. Government is there to take care of infrastructure 🙂.
It is not "our" power. Most companies in Bangalore are powered by people coming from other states (Punjabis, Bengalis, Marathis, Tamils, etc.). They are in Bangalore temporarily and will shift back to their cities the first chance they get. Better work on building local startups powered by Kannadigas if we want don't want "our" city to disappear suddenly 🤪😝. Don't worry about infrastructure, state govt is there to take care of it.
