    I think what I like about your channel the most is the transparency. It's a lot of, "let's try this," or let's experiment with that. You take the viewers on not only your journey but OUR journey as creators.

    Hi, late comment but new subscriber and I just wanted to say that I came across you because of what happened with channel makers and I like your content and I think you’re very funny without meaning to be. I also wanted to say that it’s nice to see another creator who uses Buy Me a Coffee because I don’t see any creators who use it on here. Unlike UA-cam, you talk to an actual person when you have a problem and they help you with everything. They even take ideas for the platform and implement it and listen to their audience. I like the platform and I think it’s good even though it’s newer than the others. Keep up the good work.

    I actually built my channel (not this) with the business plan of making it an affiliate marketing-focused channel. With less than 100 subs and less than 2 months old, I am already earning a tiny bit of income! When I reached the YPP eligibility it will be just a bonus. Don’t rely on one income stream! 🎉

    That's great to hear you're exploring other income sources! I totally agree that email marketing is essential, because as you said we are not in control of the platforms we're on. I personally love setting up tripwires where someone signs up for a free resource and then gets a limited time opportunity to buy a product at a discount. I find these sell well! But my 1:1 consulting has been the most lucrative by far. Because you only need a few clients and if you're charging 4 figures per client it becomes a good source of income.

    • @KevinChee
      @KevinChee  7 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, I'm slowly exploring that avenue. I'm still a little afraid of 1:1 consultation, scared I wouldn't live up to it. But I am starting to branch out now, although a little slow. Upselling is a good idea, I'll need to find something of value to give first.

    Great video! Thank you!!! I'm always looking forward to watching your videos! I applied for Amazon Canada/US/Japan and still waiting for my first 3 sales but at least I started something. Also, one person bought me 3 coffees (I was over the moon) on my "Buy Me A Coffee" page a total of $9 CAD. The only thing is that in order for me to get that $9, the earnings must be over $20... So I will just work on more valuable videos and hopefully someday I can withdraw the earnings lol Next up, I will explore about email list. Can't wait for your next video!

Anyone can join Amazon Affiliate program but you need to have a social media presence to join Amazon Influencer Program.

    Hey Kevin, thanks again for such detailed sharing. I like that fact that you are so transparent. I first started my channel thinking of using YT revenue to support my channel and as a way to offer classes in the future... I've gained a lot of practical and doable insights on how I could support my channel in the near future. I used to think it might sound like a salesperson for many other ways. But when you illustrate, it just sounds very natural to me, so it does encourage me to step out of my comfort zone for my future plan. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

      Hahaha.. I never had any success with Amazon affiliate links. Amazon Influencer Program though, that's different. That's like creating videos for Amazon, within Amazon. There's no need to promote those videos on our social media, we just upload and leave it there. I am going to try this but it will take some time. Wish me luck
