Fans still should be able to ship whatever they want, but just not to a point where everyone start viewing Garry as a lolicon when he really isn't. And the fandom really made Garry much more eccentric than he really is.
I think i like seeing it as more as a relationship thing for the same reason i see Sesshomaru and Rin being together, Ib's gonna grow up, and age wont matter then. Plus, i've never had an older brother so i dont know what that relationship is like

you can tell who actually played the game in the comments and those who didn't. you can also tell who faield and rage quit because it's difficult and those who finished and enjoyed the game. I have yet to play it but I've seen cry play it and I absolutely love it. personally shipping them is awkward unless you think that she's just a lot younger looking than she is or you realize it's just a game so it doesn't matter

Me thinks that the plot is that this takes place after Ib All Alone, and Garry goes back to the muesuem remembering everything and feeling guilty. So the Abyss of the Deep, swallows him, and in between the muesuem and Guertena's world is the "ocean" or the abyss. Mary's spirit tells him that if he wants to get Ib out, there's a price, he will have to sacrafice himself, like how Mary needed to take someone's place if she were to get what she wanted. Mary would normally be happy that's Ib's there
In fact, the kiss at the end is not really "real", because the video is gone back over of another video where the two characters are "in love". I think a hug will be better, no ? D: (My only wish is that there is more fanart of Garry looking more shady looking and less bishie. In my opinion, that's part of his character design!)
