Ok first of all your fingers are pure magic😍 But I'm curious what does roller setting do if your gonna blow it out and curl it? Is that not too much heat on the hair? When I get a silk press my stylist always blow dries my hair so is roller setting better?
Mslitebright She uses tension rollers to stretch out the hair. Less/indirect heat for that. From my observation she used the blow dryer (lightly) to straighten the ends a bit so she could trim it, then went in with the flat iron. She did say the client does this every 3 months and has no heat damage so I think she’s using heat protectant and not using extremely high heat tools so her hair is fine. I personally am impressed with the tension roller method over blow drying because I think it’s stretches and creates volume but of course each technique depends on the stylist :)
The best way to think about it is, less manipulation of the hair when it is at it's most fragile which is when hair is wet. And having to use a lower heat setting to obtain the same hairstyle

When you took those rollers out I was like.... That isn't the same client. Then when you turned her around an I saw her face I was like ..omgosh it is. Wonderful results, you never fail to amaze me 😍

Gorgeous...but how CANT she not start getting heat damage.She had the dryer for 45,then blow dried...then the curling iron...every 3 months.. damage is gonna happen I wud think? Am I wrong...bc then I'm running to the salon...this N hair is to much work!!!

I have been roller setting my natural hair and love it but it frizzes up with any bit of moisture. Any suggestion to prevent it?
If you don’t add any direct heat this is normal. Using a setting lotion may help but this is only if you’re not going to add heat after your roller set

Hi I’m also a hairstylist I was wondering if you were blow drying it and then styling it again what is the reason for the rollers? It was beautiful before you blow dried it, I mean it was beautiful after too I just wanted to know the difference? I’m still new to doing hair and when I see things done differently I want to know why, maybe it will help me with my clients
She uses the rollers to stretch the hair without direct heat from a dryer and give it bounce, she lightly blow dried so she could cut her hair before styling it with curls. She would've skipped using the blow dryer if her client didn't want a trip and go straight to styling after stretching with the rollers.
