I've never been able to grow strawberries and now I know why. I was doing everything wrong. Your video is the first one I've seen growing them from dried roots. Thank you so much! For the first time I'm confident in being able to grow them. This video was so great!

I wish I would have seen this a year or two ago when I planted some bare root strawberries. I had no idea what to do. I probably buried it too far. Nothing grew from it. Thanks. Now I know what to do if I try again!

Thank you for sharing what you know. Seeing just what it takes to get started helps. I have only planted strawberries once, the first garden I planted. Stray or wild rabbits took them all. I love strawberries and grew up with fresh strawberries from my Grandpa’s garden. I started my garden in memory of him. Your energy and videos are just what I need to encourage me to keep trying new plants and keep expanding my garden.

Hello Randy, Great video that I definitely needed. I am growing strawberries this year to add to my fruit orchard on the other side of my yard with my new blueberry and raspberry bushes. I saw your video from 2019.I purchase 2 packs at Walmart along with the $1000 strawberry collection bag with both red(eversweet) and white (white carolina); I am growing these in honor of my father-in-law who grew them and made strawberry wine every year until he had to stop due to his health.. He passed away in 2016. You are the best and I love you back! Thumbs up.

Hello, I'm so disheartened, but I'll try again ... I bought the Walmart Bare Root Package back in March 2022 and just stored them away in my laundry room. Today, 5/4, I opened them and planted them in a hanging basket. After coming on YT and seeing that the bare roots had some green on them (mine were totally dry!!) ... I almost pulled them out, but your video saved me from doing so! Thank you and NEW SUB!!👍

Randy, you did everything right from what I have seen on UA-cam and what I did the last two years. I got my crowns from Tractor Supply ... did exactly what you did and have 10 crowns in pots of two different varieties -- one June-bearing and one ever-bearing. Later in the season, maybe you can make a video explaining to people how to pot up the runners for the following season.

Another tip to people - do NOT buy roots that seem to be dry. Make sure the seem moist. If they seem dry it is hit or miss - they may still be viable or may be dead.
