I have both those coloring books by Steve McDonald and I am so very anxious to start dabbling in them both - especially Fantastic Coloring. There are so many pages in there that have my imagination soaring that I just don't know where to start first! Unfortunately, I am a bit sidetracked as I just had a total knee replacement done and I haven't been up to much coloring. It is making me CRAZY... I am slowing starting to heal, so I will sneak into my room and try to get in a few minutes here and there when I am able. There are so many fantastic coloring books and so little time. And I am one of those people that will start a project and see it through to the end and never start another until I am done with what I am working on. No WIP's for me... crazy, huh? Anyway, great haul, I really enjoy your channel - thanks so much for sharing!

My granddaughter asked me yesterday when I'll finished all my books. She's 12. I said, "unfortunately, I will not be able to finish the all but hope she and her mom would continue to color in them in years to come. My granddaughter wants to have an art studio with teaching and exhibits. "Grammy, you know, those buildings like businesses" not houses. She's dreaming big and I love it. She colors and draws everyday. Thank goodness for this hobby and the hours it has occupied busy minds. Take care of yourself and "see" you in the next one. Appreciate you commenting! Get well soon!!
@@kristinasartcorner Thanks so much... I would love to see some of your granddaughter's work - I am an old retired Graphic Artist who has always been mesmerized by the imagination of children. They never cease to amaze. When my husband was in the Navy, he was deployed a lot. Unfortunately we were never able to have children of our own, so it seemed that a lot of the neighborhood children used to come over and I would hold little art classes in the driveway! I would hand out huge sheets of paper and lay out crayons, pencils, pens... you name it, and they would draw and color for hours. I was always so amazed at their incredible imaginations and then their explanations of what they had drawn. Children are so wonderful.
That's awesome to hear about your art adventures. I bet those kids always remembered you. They do have the best imaginations. My granddaughter has visions for her work prior to working on them. I do sometimes but mostly more spontaneous on my end. I should show a couple of hers on my monthly completed pages. She'd be over the moon!!

As a newbie colorist, I am always looking for demos and explanations from other more advanced colorists as to how to accomplish something I'm interested in incorporating in my work. Your very thorough and interesting demo on blending with both alcohol & water-based blenders was really well worth my time! Thank you so much! I wish more colorists would take the time to do these valuable demos more often. Many thanks! Ken

I ❤ your idea about using a blender with Inktense or watercolor pencils, using an alcohol marker or Tombow’s Blender water based, I definitely wanna try out Tombow!! I’m looking it up!! Thank you for sharing!!
Tombow has great products. The dual brush markers are very worth the investment. I hope you get some. You can grab a set on Amazon and add slowly through open stock with an online store like Blick. book at 23 Min would be excellent starting book for colorists. It has Almost evert Motif, so you could find what you like and dont like coloring !
