As an artist, whose work has been used for AI without permission, I really appreciate that you take a firm stance against AI generated books. AI is unfortunately taking over many industries rn, many low effort stolen content is generated for quick buck while actual professionals are struggling to find work. I've heard a few colorists saying smth akin to "this book looks AI generated, but I don't care, because it's beautiful" in their hauls and it breaks my heart to hear that.
Thank you. I believe hard work and talent should be recognized and protected in all aspects. There's even an option on PicsArt app now to AI generate i just found last night. We're getting flooded with it. I much prefer to buy from the artist than not know its origin. I can understand it being a reference, AI, that is, but never to create art. Just doesn't seem right. If they make more than 40, then no. I did notice on Amazon that other stores offer similar products with some metallics etc in the tear drop shape. Might try the metallic ones. Think there's 4? I just used some yellows on a current coloring page. They glide on and blend so nicely. Love them!!

Amazon is also awash with AI books, including some real artists who are using AI in some ways too. I marked down several non-AI books I'd not seen before to buy later. :) Love long hauls better than short hauls, but any haul is a good haul. Thank you.

Amazon says it is removing AI authors, but no way are they catching all, and I think we've only tipped the surface of the destructive aspects of AI as a whole. There's good and bad and but AI isn't regulated, so it will be a painful road for some. I was surprised by Rachel Mintz and understand Coco Wyo may be doing some now, too. I definitely don't need more books, but I'd like more protection from purchasing stolen art for sure. I love watching long hauls, too, but not too many around. UA-camrs are being discouraged from long form content. They want more shorts and short attention span content. Won't stop me, though. LoL. The shoes you painted for your grandson are wonderful. Very professional looking. I have the Silhouette Disney Book. I am coloring the subject image in a solid color to make it the focal point of each page and then using multiple accent colors for the various images around it. So far I like the effect!

Ha Ha, my partner insisted on matching our grandson so I must do an adult pair of shoes. I'll show and tell if I can fit it into a video when I finish. My grandson's did turn out cute. Last shoes he had for 3 years were 1 monster on each shoe but they were cartoonish and cute too. He won't wear purchased shoes now. What did I start? LoL

My question is: Is it worth the bother to squirt water from little tubes onto colored pencils,, etc and then blend with a brush, to get that lovely bright result? Or are things like Alcohol Markers---or, just, water color paints easier and one step. (No blending). I know the answer is that water color paints are never as bright!! Just wondering if worth the investments. Because----I already now have 150 new Prisma colored pencils, a new 108 Tombows Set (replacing my 15 year old set), 90 gel pens (sparkling and not) and am waiting for Faber Castell "Gelatos Pastels (those lipstick looking chalks for backgrounds), a set of Mungyo Chalks and all the bits and bobs that must be added to use these things!.Oh--and a white liner, black liners, a Fixative, a solvent and blending sticks and stumps! Yikes---and about 20 coloring book. (Not ONE A1! LOL!!) I feel like I am about to enter the 'COLORING WARS'--so many new purchases. because I got so carried away.(Just over a year ago, I lost the most precious, dearest person in my life: my better half--my irreplaceable identical twin sister of 76 years. We could not have been closer....and nothing will ever be the same. But we both loved art and drawing. And I will try to help'lose myself in this new hobby--Alice would have loved to color!!) I honestly think a gel crayons set, or inktense, a set of favorite colored pencils, alcohol markers, pastels and gel pens for some glitter occasionally are enough supplies if I were to break it down to basics. Don't have to wet anything. You can use colorless blenders if you want to have dimension or shade on your coloring pages, otherwise keep it easy. I am so sorry you lost your twin sister. That is very tough, I bet. I am glad coloring can bring you some joy and comfort.
Yes so awesome and thanks for watching! I just used those inks in a book and they're so easy to blend and so far though it says chalk ink, but there's no chalk appearance upon drying except for black paper thus far.

Yes I figured that out after. It's out of my book circulation. I saw that some illustrators were now using AI in some of their books now too. What a challenge it has become to support actual drawing illustrators. There are ways to detect now, so I think it's easier for the community. Your intuition about something being wrong with that book was correct, but it's not AI, they are stolen images. I recognized several artists work, Molly Harrison, Selina Fenech, Herb Leonard, and Jeremiah Ketner just from the ones you flipped. Those ink pads look interesting. Are they wet when they go down like an ink, then turn into a chalk? Thanks for sharing, enjoy all your new stuff!
Thank you! Yes gut feelings are always correct. I didn't know genuinely about Rachel Mintz too :( The ink dries with a slight shine so far. I have just put it on a page today and just love them. I only saw a chalk like look on the black paper dried.

That one book isn't AI, it's straight stolen images, one of them is the cover image for Selene Fenech's book Gothic (I'm not sure about the second one you posted). The Rachel Mintz books are AI though.

The book called Coloring Book for Adults I think might be made up of stolen images. The picture on time stamp 1:11:08 looks like a Selena Fenech image possibly. Might report it if possible.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but you said you were an Amazon affiliate and clicking on the links gives you a bit of change. Do you get money just from clicking on the links(without having to make a purchase) or when people click through your link and then purchase the item? OhIf it is, in fact, from purchasing an item, I’d like to know so that I can be more careful in the future and intentionally search out links for Amazon books/items I want to buy from UA-camrs like you so you get a bit of $ for your work in making videos giving your opinions and showcasing products. It is by purchase and shipment. Though they tally the links clicked, the shipped orders is what brings the commissions. Yes, I would get credit when you go through with order whenever you purchase. The 2nd to last book you showed also had quite a few of stolen images in that book. You may have already been told this... I don't read the comments but people are pretty good about letting everyone know when they see stolen images in this community. I LOVED the shoes you painted they were ADORABLE!!!

The book called Coloring Book for Adults I think might be made up of stolen images. The picture on time stamp 1:11:08 looks like a Selena Fenech image possibly. Might report it if possible.
