Just a quick tip, if you're testing a fit in abyss and get an unfavorable or repeat spawn like you did, you can use the /moveme command to avoid having to die, respawn and re-purchase your ship. I do it all the time, sending into abyss and repeating the technique until I get the hardest spawns to fully test the fit. Saves a ton of time
If there's ever a viable fit with a MWD, that allows you to ball up the NPCs it will have no equal. But man this ship is skill heavy, and forget the cost of the ship, just the ammo is insane :( But it's such a unique feel when using it.
Tested 10 T6 darks in a blingy max skilled stormbringer for that ”ballup effect” absolutely smashed the filaments in 8-9 mins, but then on the 11th try i got drone bs.. took legit like 16 minutes to break it and by that time youre already dead, same with T6 electrics and exotics i tried, you get those battleships its game over, i also wish for a single target function but theyll never do that as thats the triglavs ”trait” unfortunantly.
Yeah it really sucks with those bs waves. I still have hopes on a single target mode, that is below average DPS for a cruiser but still not as bad as the damage in multitarget mode.
just so you know pyrolancia does not do anything to vorton projectors at all and no matter how many targets they allow you to hit with max skills 3 rogue drone BSs will cause you to time out even in a t3. It also only costs 1100 per round of ammo if you buy the bpc yourself and build it from the ded lp store (the bpcs use triglavian tsts and tdts and isk but no lp) which is comparable to faction missiles at 925 per missile.
No need for a single target mode, instead increase damage and reduce application on it. That way it would have higher single target dps while hitting big enemies and lower single target dps against smaller targets. Assuming that smaller enemies came mostly in groups and the big enemies came mostly solo, it would balance out the bouncing mechanic a bit.

I have been training up the edencom skills and looking for some fit/ guidance to run them. Any information would be really appreciated. I'd like to run some T5's with this ship (is T6 doable now? If not just T5) and maybe fit up an Ishtar for T6's? For your turbo stormbringer build is there anywhere you can cut back on the fit? 2.5b is pretty expensive. Thank you! Thank you for any help.

I wish they would ve buffed the vorton bounce range... 5 km is not enough to unleash all the power XD but anyway a great video... I feel you can make these even more efficient by kiting the rats with mwd such that they bunch up behind instead of you just waiting at the gate... Btw I can build edencom ships.. so let me know if you need any with a discount... Including ammo
i think that is the optimal fit to do t5 electrical but a problem appear : the price of t5 electrical filament are so expensive that income for 1 run is not enough to make a benefit. Plus t5 electical filament nearly never spawn in electical abyss. So do you have a solution ?
Did a t4. Nearly lost the ship made it out with 2 minutes left didn’t loot anything. I have alll implants and everything trained to lvl 4 if not 5. It sure what I did wrong but would not recommend.
Bro, it's like you got a bigger dog than before, but he's still lazy in guarding the house, the vorton projectille should be buffed in terms of damage in one shot, not many targets he can attack at one time

Even for PVE in the abyss, the main thing that hinders the stormbringer from being a popular abyssal ship isnt its multi targetting performance ubt its the single target performance is so bad. Wish it had a "mode" that gives better single target performance without multitarget functions.
The damage is not split between it's target's. It will hit 1 target as hard as 5 or 10, Ace is 100% right in criticizing the single target damage of the ship. If it could somehow condense it's damage for single target Alpha, it would be amazing, but coupled with the lack of utility highs, this is why it's not used in 1v1 PVP. But wow, do you want to avoid a gang of these ships on a bombing run, they're so nasty! Also, there's the wrecking ball meta with Skybreaker frigs gate camping.

100% you'll need to wait for CCP to release the special Vorton ones again and get that T2 skill to 5 in meantime.

Maybe its good tactic to constantly chase ships which are grouped together.
Hitting 10 targets is one nice thing, but having low DPS against 1 target is still kinda lame.
