Thank you, so much! My husband just pulled out his old PC to start his new business. We couldn't remember the admin password, even with the hint. Found your video, and gave it a try. (After watching it a few times to make sure I was comfortable doing it.) Works Like A Charm!!! You are absolutely amazing! My husband now has access to change the things he needs to change on his PC. Thanks, again! I'll be sure to look you up for my next pc repair!
Oh my gosh that’s insane. For those of you who thought that it wouldn’t show the window that told you that windows could not repair the problem automatically, you might have to wait longer for it to work. It took me around 25 minutes of waiting for it to work.
When I get to the part at 3:48I only get the back window of "Startup Repair" not the window you have in the foreground with "view problem details." When I clicked around I was unable to get to the Note. Anything you did to get that 2nd window to pop up? Or another route to get there? Everything else looks the same, I just don't get that smaller "Startup Repair" window to show up.
Thanks so much... this worked for me on Windows 7 Enterprise and got rid of an Administrator Password that has been haunting me for years on a “purchased-used” Dell Laptop Vistro 3500 with no Windows 7 CDs. Thanks to this video, I was eventually able to get rid of the Windows 7 Enterprise and update to Windows 8.1. One small modification, .... due to the Windows 7 Enterprise & Admin settings, no matter how hard I abused the start up process with the power button, the laptop would not go into Repair Mode. I even tried the “remove battery” tip. No joy, it just kept booting up to Windows 7 Enterprise. To get into Repair Mode, I had to create (burn) a Windows 7 Repair CD and boot up from the CD/ DVD drive. Search for UA-cam videos on this step. Repair Mode was at the top of the menu. (Note: I wasn’t able to put this Windows 7 Repair program on a USB jump drive because USB had been locked out of the BIOS. USB could not be selected for boot up but fortunately CD/DVD drive was selectable for boot up.) After finally getting into Repair Mode using the Windows 7 Repair CD, I just followed all the instructions in this great video. Lots of other UA-cam videos show similar info, but none explain it better than Kirt. From my newly installed Windows 8.1, I see the same Accessibility Icon prior to your password, but Microsoft appears to have closed the back door on this procedure. There’s no link to the Note Pad in Windows 8.1 .
OMG!!!!! I have literally been trying to get into my laptop for MONTHS!!!! Almost a year! This video just saved my life you have no idea how thankful I am to you!!!! You’re AMAZING 😍😍😍😍 Thank you so so so much!!!!!

After my computer finished trying to repair the startup, it says that Windows can't repair the computer automatically just like yours. BUT I don't get that little window on top where it says "Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically" with the options of "Send information about this problem (recommended)", "Don't send" or that button "View problem details". I can only choose between the two alternatives behind that window, about diagnostics/reperation information + advanced options for system recovery and support. What to do? And thanks a lot for the video!

the greatest success that I have ever had was with the ResetWindowsPassword7.blogspot.com without a doubt the most useful course that I have ever tried.
If you use an install disk, choose repair. Get to a search for drivers. While you are in that screen you can find files, copy and rename them in little screen used to search for drivers. Once you change Utilman it is smooth sailing
Hi, My laptop opens up a different tab at 3:48, instead of the 'send information..' 'dont send' and 'veiw problem details' options I receive a tab that says 'view diagnostic and repair details' and 'view advanced options for system recovery and support' Neither options take me to the link :( If you could please help it would be greatly appreciated. Help😫.... It was doing just fine on the 'Startup Repair' window. Then after about 10-12 minutes it automatically goes to a full screen 'Recovery Manager' window with the following options: "I need help immediately" > Microsoft System Repair > Microsoft Startup Repair Tool > system Recovery --OR-- "I'd like to take precautions" > File Backup Program -- last option is-- (Contact HP Support) What do I do?? BTW: When I select 'Microsoft Startup Repair Tool' it goes to another screen telling me to exit Recovery Manager or click 'Next' to automatically launch the Microsoft Startup Repair Tool. I tried both without succes. (Clicking the X - "Do you want to exit Recovery Manager and reboot" pops up -- no option to simply exit..... Clicking next shows "Microsoft Startup Repair Tool is already running" --- but I can't see/ get to it behind the full screen Recovery Manager window!😣😓)

It appears everything is done as directed yet I am still locked out. Any help you could impart would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
when if one of my user name says H Bell? I tried "net user H Bell *" but it's not working.
put H Bell in quotes.
No UTILMAN listed in System32 file folder??
Worked like a charm...thank you so much...

What if we don't have the startup repair option on Windows 7?
the greatest success that I have ever had was with the ResetWindowsPassword7.blogspot.com
without a doubt the most useful course that I have ever tried.
Same problem
I can not find the file the utilman 1
watch the video again or what windows u using
ur not looking for ultiman one ur looking for ultiman
Thank you so much for helping me get into my computer. Its been years and I can now get into my laptop. You are the best.
dudeeee! u save my hours and money. ive tried other tutorial. it didn't work. and yours works like a charm!. thanks!
Mine doesn't even activate the recovery screen -_-
SAME BRO IM SO LOST
If you use an install disk, choose repair. Get to a search for drivers. While you are in that screen you can find files, copy and rename them in little screen used to search for drivers. Once you change Utilman it is smooth sailing
What if you dont have the installition disk? What to do?

Hi,
My laptop opens up a different tab at 3:48, instead of the 'send information..' 'dont send' and 'veiw problem details' options I receive a tab that says 'view diagnostic and repair details' and 'view advanced options for system recovery and support'
Neither options take me to the link :(
If you could please help it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
same here
I have the same issue,,,did you finally get a solution.
3:49 that tab didn't show up fore with the view extra details thing so what do I do now
Help😫.... It was doing just fine on the 'Startup Repair' window. Then after about 10-12 minutes it automatically goes to a full screen 'Recovery Manager' window with the following options:
"I need help immediately"
> Microsoft System Repair
> Microsoft Startup Repair Tool
> system Recovery
--OR--
"I'd like to take precautions"
> File Backup Program
-- last option is--
(Contact HP Support)
What do I do??
BTW: When I select 'Microsoft Startup Repair Tool' it goes to another screen telling me to exit Recovery Manager or click 'Next' to automatically launch the Microsoft Startup Repair Tool. I tried both without succes. (Clicking the X - "Do you want to exit Recovery Manager and reboot" pops up -- no option to simply exit..... Clicking next shows "Microsoft Startup Repair Tool is already running" --- but I can't see/ get to it behind the full screen Recovery Manager window!😣😓)
You just save my life and gained a subscriber the keys on my laptop malfunctioned and I wasn't able to enter the password because it was entering random letters. I was almost sure that I wouldn't be able to recover my data until I found your video and it worked! Thank you so much
Decades later this video still helping out! Thanks so much!
Hello, Thanks for sharing this information. I have tried what you mentioned, however, after boot I can only have option like -
1. Safe Mode
2. Safe Mode with Networking
3. Safe Mode with Command Prompt
4. Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)
5.Start Windows Normally.

Thank you so so much someone threw a pc tower in my trash can and it had a password on it I brought in in my house to see if there were any parts in it that I could use to upgrade my pc the parts unfortunately weren’t helpful to my pc but I plugged it in and ironically it booted up but I couldn’t get past the password you rock again thank you!
At the end where you entered control userpasswords2 , my PC won't let me put the number 2 and it says Not enough storage is available to process this command. Is there anything I can do to bypass this or fix the issue?
Kirt, You saved me a butt load of money... Thank You.....
