Even though our tastes are very different now, you're one of two booktubers that nurtured my love of reading and gave me comfort during a time when my only friends were books (don't miss ya sophomore year.) I'm sorry to hear about your relationship falling through, but I, a complete stranger, am very proud to see you accomplish your goals and get your books published. I've been watching your videos since I was like 14 years old (back when Cassandra Clare was still finishing up mortal instruments / infernal devices and you made book talks each time), and I can't tell you how PROUD I am watching you now be a full fledge author on your 3rd book. I just wanted to drop you that comment, like I've seen you go from a normal book lover (just like little me) to an actual real legit wonderful author, like every reader's dream that rarely becomes true. If you ever look back you should be SO proud. :)
Nothing feels more relatable to my experience as a writer than watching you wheeze- laughing (sobbing?) while writing with your face an inch from the notebook paper 😂 also it's really fascinating to watch the process of someone who overwrites their first drafts because i so chronically underwrite mine, so the more words you add the more I'm like HOW

That last bit has to be my favourite look of yours so far - we have had crazy Christine, we have had spiraling Christine and now introducing the smudge look Christine! 🤣 I appreciate how real you are in these videos with your true love reflections - you got me determined to finally write the damn book that's been living in my head for over 5 years and I'm having similar thoughts. It's so hard writing about passionate true love when you feel like you've not experienced it! But we, Booklions (😝), keep persevering!

Lol, I go to bed late a lot, writing. Don't worry, the final published copy will be worth the lack of sleep. And yes, I will be up late writing and send multiple texts to my Beta reader, and anxiously wait for her to text back, lol. Fortunately, she's a night owl, too, so sometimes she does text back. When we text during the day, we just talk it out, and it really helps! She really helped me with my first manuscript! And OMG Voxer? I used that years ago!
I wonder if any rom-coms exist where the couple-to-be are more "cynical" about true love so they meet and they basically resist all the implications simply because they're looking for their "realistic match" or "convenient-for-my-career match" or something.
These videos inspire me so much!! 💫 I relate so much to needing to give myself permission to suck. First drafts are so hard for me, but I looove going back through it and making it better!

Love setting goals too. I find it very motivating. My current word goal is 100k, and I’m currently under 30k away from reaching it?! Congrats to you on surpassing your word goals!! I totally get the denial-my WIP wasn’t planned to balloon so much but I’m just over 1/4th of the way through and I’ve already passed the 70k mark and am closing in on 100k 😂
This is the first book I’ve written where setting goals has absolutely been the most helpful thing! Thank you and Oh my gosh! Congratulations on all your progress 🎊🎉🎊🤓 that’s amazing! 🖤🖤
