Your last few videos have moved really pushed the needle with me to launch my content soon, I think the audience is huge for people on the fence to put out content. You have really helped the platform.
I’m already a premiere addict but my friend literally asked me which editing programs to look into because he’s just looking into putting twitch content up on UA-cam and so I’m gonna send him this video and get some sleep… hope I can do my part in sharing :)
I’ve been using Filmora for almost 2 years now and it’s a great starter program for editing. Only cost about $60. Lots of features, lots of graphics packs you can buy, etc. it does, however, lack in audio adjusting tools, so make sure your audio quality is where you want it to be before hand.
I use DaVinci resolve. It has a learning curve but it can do everything that I need and there are plenty of tutorials to do everything I need for social media.
Does it allow you to edit vertical videos for IG Reels / YT shorts? I use iMovie for my basic editing needs but can’t change either resolution of the canvas or export in 1080x1920 for Reels. I’ve been trying to find an inexpensive option that will keep me from having to buy Final Cut Pro (at least for now).
@@BREEZYM6015 there are a lot of similarities with power director actually and it's $25/year. LumaFusion for me…started on my iPhone and moved to a laptop (but it’s a learning curve). Still in my infancy of editing (been at it for a year)…but I’m doing better everyday. As a 35 year old the learning curve was steep but anything is possible and your vids help:)

I'm gonna have to disagree with ya, bruh, on Davinci Resolve being hard to use for beginners. It's not. It's full-featured, but you don't need to learn everything. You can grow into it and learn the basics very quickly. Having used Filmora, VSDC, HitFilm (which I still have and is VERY easy to use), OpenShot (awful) and a couple others, hands down, Davinci Resolve is my choice by a long shot for beginners. And you can't beat free. That said, you need a moderately good video card and system, but you can make adjustments in the settings to smooth things out if needed. Unlike you, I am not, nor ever will be an Adobe fan. Plus, they can't hold a candle to DR's color grading. Best in the business. Love the content. Keep on keeping on. Peace and hair grease! ✌🏿
NOTES:Camtasia is good for screen recording n screen captures while you are recording content so if ur a tutorial content creator or a reaction channel it will 1/2 life ur worktime ...he uses it for screen recordings and tutorials n it comes out cleaner than quicktime
Any other Cyberlink Powerdirector users here? I love that software and it really is a good "medium-level" solution. Maybe one more year on it and I'm going to graduate to professional tools.
Honest bro, CapCut is THE BEST free mobile editor. They give you so much [poop], it feels like it's a steal. I even find myself exporting from Premiere to CapCut just for some exclusive features I can't do on Premiere Pro. The biggest drawbacks is precision when trying to do frame by Frame cuts, because you have to scroll, you miss your timing, and video quality export but this is my go-to!
Currently, I use Powerdirector (PC and Android subscription). It is decent for beginners. However, I would like to upgrade to editing software that is industry standard such as Adobe Premiere Pro. However, the Premiere Pro subscription is $20.99 per month. As a beginner, should I stick with Powerdirector or immediately upgrade to Premiere Pro?
I use power director. I have no desire to use Adobe at all. Maybe after effects. But people sleep on power director. I can do things with that that can make your jaw hit the floor.
@kinglemuelpodcast Yes, Powerdirector does have great features. Also, I used Kdenlive, which is open-source. The software is not industry standard but it can get the job done. The main issue with Kdenlive is that sometimes it will crash suddenly and you may lose your progress in editing a video.
I can't stand the subscription model of software, so Adobe is out for me. What about Blender? It's a free tool, on PC, Mac and Linux, and it's got a solid video editor with a ton of features.
