Minecraft is basically a easy to understand 3d modeling engine, it doesnt do scale or small objects well, but you can get the feel of a project to be right even if the dimensions are out of wack
Yeah, when my grandparent saw me building in minecraft he thought it was for modeling and stuff, he even wanted to use it for that, I had to explain to hime that it was actually a videogame :))
Another quite good tool that is much more capable: SketchUp It's very easy to learn the basics and is much better suited for something like this as it can also handle different angles as well as curves and more advanced shapes like chairs. Minecraft is enough for some things but it does limit you somewhat in terms of angles unless you bud on a very large scale.

A lot of modern projects have em actually 3d modelled in so those landscapers might have gotten a bit of downgrade from an accurate 3rd model to a minecraft world.
I heard some building's room plans and etc. are made with Minecraft on PCs that aren't capable or powerfull for 3d design programs, but can run Minecraft...
I bet when he will go to grian's house he will ask who was the landscaper, and then he will make a contract for a minecraft garden with 12 bamboo as payment.
But he needs to show it to the landscaper anyway so instead of telling them why not show them it still works and that garden is really pretty came out nice
That real-life texture pack looks really nice in Minecraft. Those custom blocks work really well too! I've seen this one before but decided to watch it again. I forgot just how closely the builders managed to make your actual space. Really nice job on this one Grian

A few comments: Pearl is extremely precious I've never seen real life look so much like an extremely realistic Minecraft shader before I personally would've kept some more of the grass and even added some more of a garden I love how faithful you were with the plants and flowers in the skirt beddings I'm really curious how many times you had to walk to and from your PC just to get all the fine details right, or how many different reference photos you'd've had to take
When it first switched from minecraft to reality, I honestly thought it was still minecraft it looked so similar or he switched the shader type....stellar job.
On the scale of 1 to 10, i would say you nailed it with a 100, 10 just dont do it justice, you did such a good design and the people you had doing the work did an amazing job bringing it to life
I could for some reason imagine all the hermits just chilling in the backyard, sitting by the fireplace and sitting by the bench, having conversations and playing in the grass, idk why, its just a pleasent thought

just a bit of advice, but be wary of your cats going into the fire pit, even when there isn't fire, because if you have wood burning and charcoals and stuff and the cat goes into it and gets coal all over themselves it sucks. Trust me. Cleaning up cat feet stains of charcoal isn't fun

Wow, those first three custom textures look like Calcite, Cobbled Deepslate, and Deepslate Tiles!
The Calcite is much more brighter than Grian's Concrete which is colder, like Clay.
Also caves and cliffs wasn't out yet.

just a bit of advice, but be wary of your cats going into the fire pit, even when there isn't fire, because if you have wood burning and charcoals and stuff and the cat goes into it and gets coal all over themselves it sucks. Trust me. Cleaning up cat feet stains of charcoal isn't fun
Especially if there is any white fur on either of the cats
can you get like a firepit cage to put on top?
