Brings a smile to my face. I taught myself to braid at age 8. I imagined the three strands competing among themselves for the best place. First, the strand on the left would say, "I want to be in the middle." Then the rightmost strand would insist, "No, I should be in the middle." Etc., etc. To this day (just turned 74) I still "hear" those squabbling strands every time I braid, or see someone braiding! Mildly disappointed at not getting a peek at dear little Lemonade, but there's always next time...
The shipping struggle is real😭 I really appreciate these kind of videos, this one feels definitely worth the effort! Wish me luck on finding nice and cheap paper🤞
Your DIYs are an absolute blessing. The chinchilla we currently have at the pet store I work at enjoys a smorgasbord of enrichment thanks to your tips and tricks. I love leaving him with a boredom breaker at night and then returning the next morning to it completely decimated.
I feel like you could braid and make a circle cover, with a tiny hole in it to stuff hay and other dry food in there. A great foraging toy for hamsters or bunnies! You could make some cool shapes
Fantastic idea! I had one of these built into my platforms in my 2-metre build, but didn't repurchase for the 3-metre build since they were so expensive compared to my usual wood or cork logs. This is a great replacement.
This is awesome! I have guinea pigs and they do this tunnel in a larger version for them but I’ve always been too aggrieved to spend £20+ on something they’ll shred in an hour. I’m definitely going to give this a go!
I have been watching your videos since I was a middle schooler and im 22 now and hopefully soon ill be able to get a hamster of my own. I adore how educational your content always is and how easy it is to follow your DIYs and scale them up for larger animals like guinea pigs. Thank you for being such an amazing person❤❤❤
I actually have a lot of that kind of paper. I bought it for something else but ended ended up never using them. I'll make tons of tunnels for my hamster now lol. Thank you!
I don't think we've had any big fires in Cyprus this year, unless I've missed a huge news story. Just the normal small ones we get every summer which are always taken under control before they cause much damage.
dont have a ball of happiness fluff right now but. the apartmen im is is not suitable for them to be in ( too cold in winter and hot in summer + small to have a cage in the right size) but the same day i get in better one i wil get one again and have 5-20 DIY tunnels ready
Oops I didn't even realised I'd missed that part, I used a small pair of scissors and just slipped it through a gap between the braids to get the cut started. A sharp craft knife or box cutter would work too

That's such a cute way to remember how to braid, I'll probably think of this now every time I need to braid something 😄

That's a great idea! I'll have to try something like that in the future.

I am so early, that Jack was planned to be dinner. Before he was saved!
This is absolutely GENIUS!
Best thing about doing it yourself is you can make it any shape and size you want! Not me wanting to make a human size one 😭😂
I have so many toys I want to make now using this technique! My cats would also love it.
Same, and also my bunnies

It is a tunnel, they go through it
Great idea!!!! Thank you!!! Will definitely be trying this.
Hope you weren’t affected by the fires. Stay safe

@@SomethingAnimal Might have got mixed up with Greece, sorry
Wow so creative. I’m sure it’s a lil time consuming but still very worth it for the price you’re paying! Great to follow along with, thank you!
Great to see you! Can’t wait to try this for our Syrian. So much joy in creating something on our own for our ‘lil guy.

hamster must feel the owners love from DIY
You could use a blown up balloon to make a hideaway with this technique....grass ones of those are overpriced too!...
I think you should add a rat and small animal hashtag. This tunnel is amazing
Soo clever!! New subscriber here 🤩
This is genius. Love it.
Omg you are a genius ❤ I love your DIYs
So cute ❤ am so excited to see your new dwarf hamster by the way dwarfs r my fav ❤🐹❤️
Oh this is very clever!
I’d love to try this! My mice would go crazy chewing it up
I'm trying this out !! 😊
It’s a tunnel you go through it 😂
Please bake the flour first to kill any potential pathogens.
Flour glue is usually boiled as part of the process to make it so no need to bake :)
@@SomethingAnimal Ooohhh. I just assumed flour glue was just flour and water 😬. Never occurred to me to look up the recipe🤦🏻♀️ 🙃.
Awesome video! ❤
I love it, now i need to make it asap 😂
Great savings!
always used flour glue as a kid
Tyvm
Love it ❤😊
Weeee! Thanks for the good idea!
This is awesome! I don't currently have a hamster, but I'm sure my guinea pigs would love a larger version of this!
Might make a big version of this for my rats, they would love to destroy it lol
fun!
excellent

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hii!
😁👍
😊👍🏻
Nice! ❤but you didn’t show how to cut it. Remember we’re simple. How did you cut the tunnel wOUT the cardboard & didn’t make it break?
A box cutter/craft knife probably
