    Brings a smile to my face. I taught myself to braid at age 8. I imagined the three strands competing among themselves for the best place. First, the strand on the left would say, "I want to be in the middle." Then the rightmost strand would insist, "No, I should be in the middle." Etc., etc. To this day (just turned 74) I still "hear" those squabbling strands every time I braid, or see someone braiding!
    Mildly disappointed at not getting a peek at dear little Lemonade, but there's always next time...

      That's such a cute way to remember how to braid, I'll probably think of this now every time I need to braid something 😄

    The shipping struggle is real😭
    I really appreciate these kind of videos, this one feels definitely worth the effort! Wish me luck on finding nice and cheap paper🤞

    Your DIYs are an absolute blessing. The chinchilla we currently have at the pet store I work at enjoys a smorgasbord of enrichment thanks to your tips and tricks. I love leaving him with a boredom breaker at night and then returning the next morning to it completely decimated.

    I feel like you could braid and make a circle cover, with a tiny hole in it to stuff hay and other dry food in there. A great foraging toy for hamsters or bunnies! You could make some cool shapes

      That's a great idea! I'll have to try something like that in the future.

    Fantastic idea! I had one of these built into my platforms in my 2-metre build, but didn't repurchase for the 3-metre build since they were so expensive compared to my usual wood or cork logs. This is a great replacement.

    This is awesome! I have guinea pigs and they do this tunnel in a larger version for them but I’ve always been too aggrieved to spend £20+ on something they’ll shred in an hour. I’m definitely going to give this a go!

    I have been watching your videos since I was a middle schooler and im 22 now and hopefully soon ill be able to get a hamster of my own. I adore how educational your content always is and how easy it is to follow your DIYs and scale them up for larger animals like guinea pigs. Thank you for being such an amazing person❤❤❤

    Best thing about doing it yourself is you can make it any shape and size you want! Not me wanting to make a human size one 😭😂

      I don't think we've had any big fires in Cyprus this year, unless I've missed a huge news story. Just the normal small ones we get every summer which are always taken under control before they cause much damage.

      A box cutter/craft knife probably

    • @SomethingAnimal
      @SomethingAnimal  Рік тому +4

      Oops I didn't even realised I'd missed that part, I used a small pair of scissors and just slipped it through a gap between the braids to get the cut started. A sharp craft knife or box cutter would work too
