    I just put one on my truck I purchased from American Trucks. Actually, this video made me decide to purchase one! I removed my whole front bumper (6 nuts and it comes right off). I found it to be much simpler than trying to remove the plastic surrounding the tow hooks. 30 minutes and I was done. Great video, man!

    Great channel, we have a lot of the same ideas for upgrades and mods for our trucks. I have a 2017 F150, but still very similar overall.

    To take the plastic off around tow hooks, use vise grips from front and pull hard. They'll pop off. 🙂 no need to cut a hole.

    Not sure about the 18-20 but I'm pretty sure on the 15- 17's If you reach under and grab the back of that rubber boot and pull it down and forward ( the front of the truck) it will pull out and expose the bolts for removal. No need to cut the boot.

    Now you need some led 4 inch fog lights or K.C lights to make that thing pop

    Nice job and thanks for posting - I have a 19 F150 trying to figure out how to get those rubber faceplate things out - I like your solution! thanks !

      Found an easier one... if you push down and pull it will come out whole. Easy to take the bumper off to make it easier, 6 bolts holds it on. Behind the black covers on the bumper.

    Hey do you have the pre collision sensor on the truck? If so, does the bull bar get in the way of it?

    Question I have the 2020 5.0L. Does the bullbar not interfere with the front collision sensors? Was thinking of getting a bullbar but was told it blocks the sensors behind those 2 black squares on front grill. What did you experience?

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  3 роки тому +1

      No I had zero issues with it interfering with any sensors

      And if you get something a little bit bigger like the AMI swing step, it gives a little bit more protection for the plastic parts on your front end! That's what I'm looking to upgrade to on my 2019 F150 and was wondering how to get the plastic tow hook covers off w/o destroying them.

    Is it worth losing the recovery point for that ?

    • @WICKEDAUTO1
      @WICKEDAUTO1  5 років тому +1

      Losing the tow hooks? You can still use the bull bar the same way...its bolted to the same place with the same bolts. Just adding some front protection

      I have no intent on getting recovered in my FX4.

      Why do they all say not recommended for eco trucks ? Does it mess with the air intake on the grill?
