Loving the Magik content, there’s a lot of uploads on yt that look like their first 1-2 games so there’s nothing to learn or nothing crazy going on but this was mucho entertaining
I still wish for Magik to get a 50 hp increase edit: no shot you're standing in the middle of everyone and not getting focused you should have been dead 300 times over, legit looked like you were playing bots at the start of the video lol
Was thinking the same thing. Definitely cannot play Magik solo or without your friend(s) on a strategist keeping an eye out for you. It's way too easy to die without good support.

I love her, just got my first 22k dmg game earlier. Her kit works well, just needs a few tweaks here and there, like maybe a small hp increase, or omni directional stepping discs instead of horizontal.
Do you not rate the 'stepping disc > spin > dash' combo? I can see you generally use the minion over the spin, but I think the spin is worth it when you combo it with the dash (the long spin animation gets cancelled and you carry the spin damage hitbox to the dash location). Then you can do 'stepping disc > spin > dash > M1 > M2' to finish squishies. The burst damage from that combo is really nice.
Stepping disc is a way to avoid damage and do a big burst, demon has a far range and will do way more than the spin. In an actual game you are not going to one shot combo 90% of the time and in the event something goes wrong, you are down a step and no demon for burst followup damage or kiting
@@soulxcloud2389 I get what you're saying, but if you watch your video back, you do actually engage with a spinning disc most of the time. The gameplay would mostly be the same except you'd use spin alongside the dash rather than a minion. I've personally found that this secures kills a lot more reliably, especially against more responsive healers or heroes with escape abilities. Would be interesting to see which method is more consistent overall! I started using the combo because I saw Necros using it.
@@matthewcronshaw9331the spin does awful dmg, so won't miss it unless on ult. Only other reason is defensive use. For like 16 hp per person. If u ignore the demon it does over 300+dmg giving more shield.
@@notmerricks I tested this in the practice range and the shield gain from a spin or a minion in the middle of a group aren't that different. The minion can get slightly more if people stand in it for the full duration, but if they move out of it, the spin would give you more, and the spin gives the shields immediately.

Yeah same. When playing Magik, it’s important you have proper support. Never go in alone, or else you’ll die immediately. She’s kind of like Spider-Man in a way; you have to attack people from the side and be quick with your hits.
you gotta hard focus one squishy at a time (specifically a support) magik is the best 1v1 character in the game and if you get into a 1v4 you have to make it a 1v1 by seperating them from a group
It definitely is a target you need to go for when you got a Hawkeye or Widow - even Hela higher dmg too but it does then mean you can’t protect the rear and sniper counter. Magik is slow but heavy hitter so I’d think a high mobility duellist hero to go with her or a high mobility tank that can go back to the back line whilst you just brawl and attack Hawkeye and Snipers, allows you as Magik just pummel their backline and brawl 😂 imho
@@soulxcloud2389 I was wondering how to even play her honestly, with no range I just get half health even before I can get close to the other ranged characters, and If I try to flank they all 6 turn and kill me. Any advice?
@@CammyChameleon69 Play with your team, looking for openings to dive the back from the front. Play her like a tank with good mobility and watch out for any potential nukese or oneshots
curious as to why you have situations where you could do the spin move after TP instead of the minion because you are in the middle of everyone and it will give you a ton of health back. i personally use the spin when im not in a 1v1 situation! Magik the dopest, and the skin so sick too, had to cop
From what I found: If you want to engage with your dash going for a 1-shot, you can start off with portal into slash+dash so you buffer it and get it slashing directly on the enemy. If you're already in the fight I find minion better since it's faster. But I dunno
I’m realizing no one is really gravitating to making a magik guide yet because she’s among the harder heroes to play and takes a varied level of decision making.
I just am not good at guides and still need to get better at Magik, their has been Magik guides I have seen thumbnails for though like from BloodThirsyLord

@@sleep4425u can play magic as solo, she is pretty good. But u will need different combos and then ull slay
She's so satisfying to play. I love the weight in her attacks compared to the other melee heroes

My games are NEVER like this, my enemy teams are always sweaty and won't let it slide at spawn.

There are uses, I use her as solely a brawler and not an assassin.

Every tick of damage your minion deals will give you shields. If you notice this guy is stacking like 400 health most of the time.
