Second hand market is great right now if you are on a budget, something like the GTX 1080 (around 130€ where i live) or RTX 3060/3070 (180-300€) can get you started before the next gen drops and the current stuff is cheaper again. AMD/Intel are supposed to be coming up with more mid-level cards the next generation. I have a pc with 4060 i bought for 150€ and my main pc has 4070TIS i bought 780€ there's some great deals out there if you just keep looking
Nvidia prices are so high because they can afford to raise it, for companies there is almost no better option than Nvidia. The consumer comes next. Their cards are great in energy performance.
Nvidia raised the price of GPU market across the board. Nvidia kept raising prices and people still keep buying them. so AMD followed too and raise their prices of all the SKU up too and these prices now become the baseline standard price. Soon eventually, Intel will follow suit too once they have enough people buying their GPU, they will also raise the prices of theirs along with AMD. We all know how greedy Intel is in the CPU market, so that leopard aint changing its spots either. right now people are just ignoring it cuz Intel is trying to slowly break into the GPU market with price their GPUs cheap.
Its not people that are buying them, its companies. Not only the folks doing premades but more importantly datacenters. Those buy gpus by the pallet. Some of these centers are huge and ai has been huge for some time. This is why nvidia makes so much more over amd. Them cuda cores have been around for a decade and a half.
@@dark666razor Nvidia has a separate lineup for datacenter GPUs. the consumer GPUs are just out of spec cut down versions of datacenter GPUs and repurpose them for gaming. consumers is just too dumb to not fall for Nvidia marketing for gaming GPUs. Nvidia has been turning their company into making datacenter GPUs since GTX days where majority of their money comes from, i'm not dvmb on that fact. Its the reason why consumer gaming GPU have AI sht in them cuz Nvidia makes their GPU first and foremost for datacenters then whatever junk is left over, they use those to make gaming GPUs.
