One thing I didn't really mention or explore in the video is more than one other cryo unit. Since Shenhe gives the quill to everyone, it would be a good way to make them last longer.
Recommend Chongy Boy for Shenhe. His skill lowers her cooldowns to improve the number of icy quills she can pop off as well as her burst uptime (100% at c2). Shenhe seems to like quickswapping and popping skills and bursts repeatedly. Ganyu/(prototype amber) Mona/Shenhe/Chongyun is what I'm building atm, and I mostly just i-frame through encounters, spamming shit till everything dies. Good times.
If you build her w/Chongyun as support and burst dmg, Zhongli, and a hydro(xingqiu or mona), she could be pretty good. Problem is that atk is her ascension stat, so she is a bit more difficult to build, but with cryo resonance and blizzard strayer, just need to focus or cryo dmg and crit dmg.

Actually my friend has a c6 ayaka(whale) (mine c0 f2p) he also has shenha and his CA with shenhe does about 60K per slash with only shenhe coz it was during coop only 2 charecters could be used, mine with freeze only does like 15K no shenhe btw so the difference is quite a lot ,and i don't want to imagine his ayaka's dmg with kazuha and mona 🤧 wish one day I'll also have a c6 ayaka(copium)
It's kinda sad that her play style is soooo specific, she's one of the only 5 stars units that you almost can't use at all whiteout the right party members :( Kind of a shame, I like her lore a lot but won't pull because of that (a don't have any proper cryo DPS yet and can't risk having her and not Ganyu) I still believe she can do amazing tho. I'm excited to see her God mod video :)

In this case I was blessed with having Ayaka and Shenhe does wonders for her already. I actually got her C1, meaning I can refresh the quills during Ayaka's burst which is so nice. Good luck on getting best girl Ganyu, I will try to get her as well.
@@raywa5821 you're right ! But the units you mentioned requires high investisement if you want them to be usable due to their low scaling, so it's still niche, you see ? Not a lot of people have the time, will or dedication for it. I'm sure we will get more in the future but right now it doesn't change the problem, if you're f2p you can't really risk having Shenhe and then missing the cryo DPS you wanted for her ^^
you maybe forgot this or i missed it but, the talent to choose to hold or press is separate from the E skill it self that also applies a damage buff regardless of which you do hold will allow more ticks and longer duration but bigger cooldown
moga! here are my suggestions of 4*’s to raise because i really enjoy playing as them and i would like to see you trying them! -fischl ; literally my god, she has a broken build but still does tons of dmg tho she’s just a support. she also works very wrll with elemental reactions! -razor ; physical god 😔 i’ve been a razor main since i started the game and i enjoyed him so much, though i have so many other dps/mains like hutao and xiao, razor is always my number 1 -chongyun ; i’ve been wanting to raise chongyun forever but cant! my sister mains chongyun and damn he does a lot of dmg, his play style is very interesting and i would like you to try! -xinyan ; she’s so underrated but still such a fun character to play as and explore! she’s flexible too! shield support, main/sub dps, physical, burst support -beidou ; i just LOVE to play as beidou even thoug i cant build her for myself! she’s just so fun and has a unique style. i think her E skill is very interesting because of her counter and i would love for you to explore her more! -kaeya ; despise the fact that he’s a starter, he’s so strong and fun! like i said for xinyan, he’s also flexible! physical, support, burst support, main/sub dps i’ve seen a lot of people main him and damn they’re damage is scary! LOL
i use a half and half phys/electro fischy and holy moly she’s crazy esp at c6 with dendro traveler and rosa since dendro and cryo don’t react with one another you can have a double reaction team
Hi Moga :> I'm here to say: Shenhe will probably need a c1 to be able to shine more clearly :> It adds more damage, energy generation and icy quill stacks which is very valuable, it also enables her to have little downtime. Her c0 is also fine but it's not very worth it when it comes to buffing ayaka or ganyu.
Agreed, I do have her at C1 and it definitely improved her performance. I'm still testing her out, so far I mostly use her second charge to refresh the quills while Ayaka's burst. So basically Shenhe Q+E, Ayaka Q and Shenhe E while the burst goes, which works rather well. She isn't by far the best support, too specific to be generally useful. But I defnitely enjoy her, because I love building mono elemental teams every now and then.
I was conflicted between Shenhe, Zhongli and Ganyu. I got Shenhe and will have barely enough to guaranteed get Ganyu. While I love Zhongli, he seems to become less and less future proof. So when I had to decide between two favourites, I chose the goat. Good luck on your pulls, hopefully you get geo daddy soon.
As a shenhe main I was mad when I found out shen was a support but that did not stop me from making her Into my dps- also the Lilith Spear is so good for her idk for anyone else though
You know I would love to see the day where once a character comes out he literally has everything ready, no need for farming literally anything I think it’d be pretty funny because he always has to go farming 😭
hello here's a little guide abt dtuff i remember: ascension materials lvl 80 - 26 boss mats, lvl 90 - 46 boss mats as for the local speciality lvl 80 - 108, lvl 90 - 168 small moster mats (i only remember lvl 90) lvl 90 - 18 grey ones, 30 green ones, 36 blue ones that's all i remember
The quota ruins everything. If the quota didnt exist she would be a must-pull for Cryo dps users but right now its questionable whether she is worth it. I doubt we are getting any cryo units compatible with Shenhe's buff either because the next region is Sumeru and we severely lack any dendro units so i expect the same incident with polearm impact where they mass release a bunch of dendro characters to even out the roster.
My Ideal Mono-Cryo team;- Ayaka (For DPS) Shenhe (C6 for unlimited Icy Quills) Ganyu (for cryo dmg bonus from her burst) Venti (for VV and to keep all enemies within Shenhe and Ganyu burst)
Im suffering right now, speedrunning to 160 primogems and spamming wish whenever I have enough lol. I am at 64+ pity. Anyways, the inazuma spear is good for her burst or starglitter. For dps, im not sure.
@@hiroshi391 shenhe works best as cryo support obviously and most of eulas damage comes from her physical so there are other supports in the game that would work as well or even better in a eula team than shenhe. BUT if you want shenhe she is far from a bad support for eula so I'd say she's worth going for

Rather than wasting pity on 5* that isn't as good rosaria also give crit rate bonus. Shenhe aoe is so small it's quite hard to use it against moving enemy
She’s an alright filler, but ultimately c6 Rosaria is marginally better purely from 20% res decrease rather than 15%. Sure Shen also gives 15% bonus dmg, but a well built support rosaria can give 20% attack and 15% crit rate, which lets you increase crit dmg by a solid chunk.
I was going for Shenhe, but when I saw the leaks of Yae Miko, i changed my opinion towards wishing. Still best of luck to everyone that are going for Shenhe
7 hits is a joke. Shenhe is 5-star character, she should be top-tier support, why MHY limited her so much that she's just on par with Kazuha even for solo cryo parties? (and of course she's not viable for any other team comps exept physical where she's worse than C6 Rosaria)
@@el7284 Morgana with Kazuha would still be more effective and less expensive. Yeah, you can use her for some extent, but this ridiculous limitation just kills her as universal cryo support for every cryo-core.

It's funny, because mihoyo is about to gaslight us by filling the abyss with bosses, where her kit really shines, so it will be a long time before people realise her exact place in the meta. Morgana AoE with Kazuha is far better than Shenhe, but she's better in Mono Cryo single-target. However, even that too has its conditions.
hey moga!! what i do first when i fight the new boss is to destroy the walls, so when i'm falling and the tunnel-thing ends i usually glide to a wall and attack it until it breaks. makes the fight a lot easier for me :)

i think Chongyun’s ultimate is only 3 hits, he can triple reverse melt too so that would probably be rlly strong with shenhe, not sure but i think kasha’s ultimate snapshots so it could probably hold the buff for more aoe dmg and getting more value from it
what i do is ill land on the floating rock just above the arena, i let the two monsters do their thing all theydo is hit the floating debris, then after they leap i jump down and attack the ice one. the electric one will jump on the pillar and stay there .all he does is lob electric balls at you. you can dodge them. i use this time to take down the ice monster, then the electric one is left. after that its easy. i use a modified sukokomon build, but i swapped sucros for kadehara with a sacrificial sword. his jump plunge attacks help you dodge the homing electro balls from the electric monster.
When i was huffing copium i theory crafted about calamity queller being good on Raiden. Turns out yes, it is. Just e and switch out, pop ults like you usually would, and then switch to Raiden and ult. It works.
@@UltimateGenosyko aloy and diona, and ayaka can be swapped out after her ult. Also, it counts cryo swirls so any anemo off field like venti of kazuha works.

i am building shenhe as a dps and she is CARRYING SM!! She did my first ever 10k and does over 10k every E when i hold! i also love her playstyle and she is my main now :)
a nice strat for the new boss: land on the opposite side of the (they will do a synchronized atk and then jump to you). Focus on cryo one( if you can't kill it quickly the electro one will jump to the wall), If the electro is on the wall still ignore it and just focus the cryo one. If you killed the cryo one the electro will immediately come down and they will do a synchronized atk, as they do the atk you can kill the electro one

I don't understand why people are complaining about the quota tbh. It's not like it's multiplicative, it's additive, so you get the same extra damage for each instance of cryo. Stack that up for 3 characters and if you have like 3k dmg additive, you basically have the potential to do 63k dmg per e skill. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still kinda bummed on her ult though, it could've been better, like added small healing based on talisman quotas or something. I think people are too fixated on big number = good character.
Its mostly because it feels restrictive. If mihoyo gave 28 stacks instead of 7 each. Its still the same potential damage but people wouldnt complain about it or atleast not as much. Or atleast thats my take on it. Playstyle/Rotation restrictions arent fun
@@panzerburgerwafflemaker That's where we differentiate. I love quickswap, and my Ayaka-Yunjin-Shenhe-Diona team is doing numbers with pretty much 100% uptime on all their ults. That said, I agree that the quota splitting is very restrictive with forcing Mono cryo for a team. But I doubt Mihoyo is going to give 28 stacks upfront if that were the case, since teams, especially Permafreeze aka Ganyu/ Ayaka is going to get even more broken. That being said, I do agree that no split quotas would be better, I'll take 14-20 quotas if Mihoyo were generous.
As a f2p console player who just recently started, my two best are xiangling and bennett. Ive saved enough for the 50/50 and am wondering if i should pull for ganyu, and if not, who should i pull for?
Pointless but advice for the boss: I find it helpful to break the walls before they jump on them bc then they can’t do that attack which kinda ruins the fight for me at least so that’s my advice. Bring a claymore if you can since they break the walls in like 3 hits (itto’s cow breaks them immediately lmao 😂)
Honestly Shenhe really seems like a 4 star character disguised as a 5 star Her buff is sooo specific, and even then she only buffs 5/7 instances of dmg before going on a 10/15s cooldown - in any AoE situation it mean that the buff is expired after 1-2 charged attacks by Ayaka/Ganyu (her main candidates) On top of that, she has absolutely no reason to have a burst with 80 cost and generate only 3-4 particles - she can only generate 18 particles per minute, which is abysmal for a support with 80 cost
she buffs 5/7 instances per character, so put her in with at least 2 other cryo characters, if not 3. An anemo swirl like Kaz also fit in the 4th slot and now you're getting a total of 28 hits every 15 seconds and simply melting everything away. with enough cryo in the team her paticles and burst cost will not matter at all. Ayaka or Ganyu/Diona/Chongyun or Rosaria or Kaeya/Kazuha would be an excellent way to utilize her. Could take out Kaz for water unit to freeze as a tradeoff for maximizing her quills. anyway we've been through this before. Yoimiya sucked until she didn't. Raiden was underwhelming until she was the best in the game. Kokomi sucked until she became awesome. Same old same old. She's plenty good when used for what she's built to be used for, just like every new unit these days.
@@johns783 mono element team only works with geo because they can go against every element… since the base of the game is reactions, mono teams of every other element doesn’t make sense at all. it just lowers the potential of your party.
Shen’s bonus works like Bennett’s except it doesn’t appear on the character sheet because it’s a bonus rather than an ATK buff (therefore Bennett still contributes to the buff and doesn’t overdo ATK). Hyper simplified Ayaka attacks > Shen + Benny > Cryo Bonus > C DMG > resistances applied > number is generated.
The dmg from her E can only be increased by higher dmg bonuses and crit dmg and more characters doing cryo dmg (also EM if doing melt). Thus, ayaka is just frontloading the dmg, there is no effect on dmg coming from shenhe from how strong the attacks are. It is just dmg calculation = (atk * talent + (shenhe/yunjin) flat dmg) * dmg bonus * crit dmg (* EM * 1.5 or 2 if melt or vaporise) Thus, shenhe and yunjin will give more massive boosts to characters with low atk, low talent multipliers, high dmg bonus, high crit and maybe high EM? But shenhe only lasts for awhile. Thus, slower cryo characters like rosaria burst can only benefit by lowering their attacks in favor of more crit or even dmg bonus, relying on shenhe buff to cover the attack stat to balance out like bennett with xiangling so just team optimizations.
i think moga should use the regisivines if he wants to test specific things,its hard to do it for comms or hillichurls bc they die easily, with the regisivines you can get them down do whatever you need to set up, and then test while its immobile
the quills really should only be used once per button press, so if you do a charged attack, it counts as one instead of 4 with Ayaka. Would make her much more viable. For the ult keep the per tick I guess
She's the one made me start building cryo characters, after farming since she got released (that's when I started genshin) when I tried using her in nuke comps, she can do almost 200k with her e, and my supports aren't even properly leveled up uet
Shenhe's quill damage boost counts as flat damage (comes before crit / other damage bonuses in the damage calcs), so it then gets multiplied by your crit stats and your damage bonus stats (e.g. the cryo damange bonus cup on Ayaka)!
Hey moga if you're curious how shenhe's buff works, I'll explain below. So damage is calculated, for most characters, like so: (Character Atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage) × Damage bonus% × Reaction multiplier (if applicable) × EM multiplier (if applicable) × Crit dmg (if it crits, otherwise this multiplier is 1) × Enemy resistance × Enemy defense. Shenhe's quills buff the "Flat damage" part of this equation, similar to how things like zhongli's HP scaling or kokomi's burst buff their own damage. Flat damage is in the part of the equation I like to call "Attack power" section (which is the Character atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage). As an example, let's say that we have a character with 1,500 atk and a talent w/ a 100% multiplier and another talent with a 300% multiplier. The character's Attack Power for those attacks will be 1,500 (1.5k × 1) and 4,500 (1.5k × 3) respectfully. The actual damage we see on screen from those attacks might be around 5,000 and 15,000 damage, respectfully, due to all of the other multipliers. I think a high investment shenhe should be able to give a flat damage buff of 3,000. So if we buff our example character with just this, their Attack power becomes 4,500 and 7,500, with their actual damage getting buffed to 15,000 and 35,000.
just thought i'd throw my two cents in, but i've been playing with ayaka recently (lv.80 & 8/7/8 at the time of story) and i so happened to match up with a shenhe one time. she basically doubled my ayaka's cryo damage and that'll be my respect for shenhe mains for forever :thumbs_up: (it's worth mentioning that my ayaka also is 80 unascended, and has a 50/213 crit ratio - 81/213 with harbinger buff, and about 1/5k attack, so ayaka isn't super weak on her own LOL)

ayakas c6 gives her a 250% boost to her charged attacks so using that as a reference isnt very reliable

I was conflicted between Shenhe, Zhongli and Ganyu. I got Shenhe and will have barely enough to guaranteed get Ganyu.
While I love Zhongli, he seems to become less and less future proof.
So when I had to decide between two favourites, I chose the goat.

As a shenhe main I was mad when I found out shen was a support but that did not stop me from making her Into my dps- also the Lilith Spear is so good for her idk for anyone else though

You can play Shehne Dps with Chongyun, xingqiu, Shehne and another unit. Chongyun gives cryo basic atk, so its actually a great combo.

The quota ruins everything. If the quota didnt exist she would be a must-pull for Cryo dps users but right now its questionable whether she is worth it. I doubt we are getting any cryo units compatible with Shenhe's buff either because the next region is Sumeru and we severely lack any dendro units so i expect the same incident with polearm impact where they mass release a bunch of dendro characters to even out the roster.

Ayaka (For DPS)
Shenhe (C6 for unlimited Icy Quills)
Ganyu (for cryo dmg bonus from her burst)
Venti (for VV and to keep all enemies within Shenhe and Ganyu burst)

Im suffering right now, speedrunning to 160 primogems and spamming wish whenever I have enough lol. I am at 64+ pity. Anyways, the inazuma spear is good for her burst or starglitter. For dps, im not sure.

@@hiroshi391 shenhe works best as cryo support obviously and most of eulas damage comes from her physical so there are other supports in the game that would work as well or even better in a eula team than shenhe. BUT if you want shenhe she is far from a bad support for eula so I'd say she's worth going for
I was gonna go for her for eula honestly but there are some rumors about a shogun rerun so despite planning on pulling I'll be saving :/

@@hiroshi391 i agree with the person above, but i would say if u have no ganyu/ayaka better not since phy res decrease is also applied to c6 rosaria, which u can get eventually. Rather than wasting pity on 5* that isn't as good rosaria also give crit rate bonus. Shenhe aoe is so small it's quite hard to use it against moving enemy
She’s an alright filler, but ultimately c6 Rosaria is marginally better purely from 20% res decrease rather than 15%. Sure Shen also gives 15% bonus dmg, but a well built support rosaria can give 20% attack and 15% crit rate, which lets you increase crit dmg by a solid chunk.

7 hits is a joke. Shenhe is 5-star character, she should be top-tier support, why MHY limited her so much that she's just on par with Kazuha even for solo cryo parties? (and of course she's not viable for any other team comps exept physical where she's worse than C6 Rosaria)
Solo single-target Cryo comps. She actually deals a lot of damage, but you literally need two cryo DMG dealers in your team.
@@el7284 Morgana with Kazuha would still be more effective and less expensive. Yeah, you can use her for some extent, but this ridiculous limitation just kills her as universal cryo support for every cryo-core.
@@x_Psyduck_x hehe. It's funny, because mihoyo is about to gaslight us by filling the abyss with bosses, where her kit really shines, so it will be a long time before people realise her exact place in the meta.
Morgana AoE with Kazuha is far better than Shenhe, but she's better in Mono Cryo single-target. However, even that too has its conditions.
hey moga!! what i do first when i fight the new boss is to destroy the walls, so when i'm falling and the tunnel-thing ends i usually glide to a wall and attack it until it breaks. makes the fight a lot easier for me :)

i think Chongyun’s ultimate is only 3 hits, he can triple reverse melt too so that would probably be rlly strong with shenhe, not sure but i think kasha’s ultimate snapshots so it could probably hold the buff for more aoe dmg and getting more value from it
what i do is ill land on the floating rock just above the arena, i let the two monsters do their thing all theydo is hit the floating debris, then after they leap i jump down and attack the ice one. the electric one will jump on the pillar and stay there .all he does is lob electric balls at you. you can dodge them. i use this time to take down the ice monster, then the electric one is left. after that its easy. i use a modified sukokomon build, but i swapped sucros for kadehara with a sacrificial sword. his jump plunge attacks help you dodge the homing electro balls from the electric monster.

When i was huffing copium i theory crafted about calamity queller being good on Raiden. Turns out yes, it is. Just e and switch out, pop ults like you usually would, and then switch to Raiden and ult. It works.

Her boost with Aloy's burst might be kind of nuts, since it's just one big nuke. If you can use Bennet and melt it, too... maybe?

@@UltimateGenosyko aloy and diona, and ayaka can be swapped out after her ult. Also, it counts cryo swirls so any anemo off field like venti of kazuha works.
@@UltimateGenosyko my wife's new favorite comp is ayaka, kazuha, diona and shenhe. It's actually disgusting because diona will 1 shot mobs with the quills lol.

a nice strat for the new boss:
land on the opposite side of the (they will do a synchronized atk and then jump to you).
Focus on cryo one( if you can't kill it quickly the electro one will jump to the wall), If the electro is on the wall still ignore it and just focus the cryo one.
If you killed the cryo one the electro will immediately come down and they will do a synchronized atk, as they do the atk you can kill the electro one

I don't understand why people are complaining about the quota tbh. It's not like it's multiplicative, it's additive, so you get the same extra damage for each instance of cryo. Stack that up for 3 characters and if you have like 3k dmg additive, you basically have the potential to do 63k dmg per e skill. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still kinda bummed on her ult though, it could've been better, like added small healing based on talisman quotas or something. I think people are too fixated on big number = good character.
Its mostly because it feels restrictive. If mihoyo gave 28 stacks instead of 7 each. Its still the same potential damage but people wouldnt complain about it or atleast not as much. Or atleast thats my take on it. Playstyle/Rotation restrictions arent fun
@@panzerburgerwafflemaker That's where we differentiate. I love quickswap, and my Ayaka-Yunjin-Shenhe-Diona team is doing numbers with pretty much 100% uptime on all their ults. That said, I agree that the quota splitting is very restrictive with forcing Mono cryo for a team. But I doubt Mihoyo is going to give 28 stacks upfront if that were the case, since teams, especially Permafreeze aka Ganyu/ Ayaka is going to get even more broken. That being said, I do agree that no split quotas would be better, I'll take 14-20 quotas if Mihoyo were generous.

As a f2p console player who just recently started, my two best are xiangling and bennett. Ive saved enough for the 50/50 and am wondering if i should pull for ganyu, and if not, who should i pull for?
Ganyu is good with xianling and also she is one of the best dps in the game so it depends of who you need :D
Pointless but advice for the boss: I find it helpful to break the walls before they jump on them bc then they can’t do that attack which kinda ruins the fight for me at least so that’s my advice. Bring a claymore if you can since they break the walls in like 3 hits (itto’s cow breaks them immediately lmao 😂)

Honestly Shenhe really seems like a 4 star character disguised as a 5 star
Her buff is sooo specific, and even then she only buffs 5/7 instances of dmg before going on a 10/15s cooldown - in any AoE situation it mean that the buff is expired after 1-2 charged attacks by Ayaka/Ganyu (her main candidates)
On top of that, she has absolutely no reason to have a burst with 80 cost and generate only 3-4 particles - she can only generate 18 particles per minute, which is abysmal for a support with 80 cost
she buffs 5/7 instances per character, so put her in with at least 2 other cryo characters, if not 3. An anemo swirl like Kaz also fit in the 4th slot and now you're getting a total of 28 hits every 15 seconds and simply melting everything away. with enough cryo in the team her paticles and burst cost will not matter at all. Ayaka or Ganyu/Diona/Chongyun or Rosaria or Kaeya/Kazuha would be an excellent way to utilize her. Could take out Kaz for water unit to freeze as a tradeoff for maximizing her quills. anyway we've been through this before. Yoimiya sucked until she didn't. Raiden was underwhelming until she was the best in the game. Kokomi sucked until she became awesome. Same old same old. She's plenty good when used for what she's built to be used for, just like every new unit these days.
@@johns783 mono element team only works with geo because they can go against every element… since the base of the game is reactions, mono teams of every other element doesn’t make sense at all. it just lowers the potential of your party.
Shen’s bonus works like Bennett’s except it doesn’t appear on the character sheet because it’s a bonus rather than an ATK buff (therefore Bennett still contributes to the buff and doesn’t overdo ATK).
Hyper simplified
Ayaka attacks > Shen + Benny > Cryo Bonus > C DMG > resistances applied > number is generated.

The dmg from her E can only be increased by higher dmg bonuses and crit dmg and more characters doing cryo dmg (also EM if doing melt). Thus, ayaka is just frontloading the dmg, there is no effect on dmg coming from shenhe from how strong the attacks are.
It is just dmg calculation = (atk * talent + (shenhe/yunjin) flat dmg) * dmg bonus * crit dmg (* EM * 1.5 or 2 if melt or vaporise)
Thus, shenhe and yunjin will give more massive boosts to characters with low atk, low talent multipliers, high dmg bonus, high crit and maybe high EM? But shenhe only lasts for awhile.
Thus, slower cryo characters like rosaria burst can only benefit by lowering their attacks in favor of more crit or even dmg bonus, relying on shenhe buff to cover the attack stat to balance out like bennett with xiangling so just team optimizations.

i think moga should use the regisivines if he wants to test specific things,its hard to do it for comms or hillichurls bc they die easily, with the regisivines you can get them down do whatever you need to set up, and then test while its immobile

her icy quills also work with anemo units who infuse their burst with element, like sucrose burst or venti burst
The enkonomiya quest line is just a big pain
the quills really should only be used once per button press, so if you do a charged attack, it counts as one instead of 4 with Ayaka. Would make her much more viable. For the ult keep the per tick I guess

She's the one made me start building cryo characters, after farming since she got released (that's when I started genshin) when I tried using her in nuke comps, she can do almost 200k with her e, and my supports aren't even properly leveled up uet
Shenhe's quill damage boost counts as flat damage (comes before crit / other damage bonuses in the damage calcs), so it then gets multiplied by your crit stats and your damage bonus stats (e.g. the cryo damange bonus cup on Ayaka)!
Hey moga if you're curious how shenhe's buff works, I'll explain below.
So damage is calculated, for most characters, like so: (Character Atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage) × Damage bonus% × Reaction multiplier (if applicable) × EM multiplier (if applicable) × Crit dmg (if it crits, otherwise this multiplier is 1) × Enemy resistance × Enemy defense.
Shenhe's quills buff the "Flat damage" part of this equation, similar to how things like zhongli's HP scaling or kokomi's burst buff their own damage. Flat damage is in the part of the equation I like to call "Attack power" section (which is the Character atk × Talent multiplier + Flat damage). As an example, let's say that we have a character with 1,500 atk and a talent w/ a 100% multiplier and another talent with a 300% multiplier. The character's Attack Power for those attacks will be 1,500 (1.5k × 1) and 4,500 (1.5k × 3) respectfully. The actual damage we see on screen from those attacks might be around 5,000 and 15,000 damage, respectfully, due to all of the other multipliers.
I think a high investment shenhe should be able to give a flat damage buff of 3,000. So if we buff our example character with just this, their Attack power becomes 4,500 and 7,500, with their actual damage getting buffed to 15,000 and 35,000.

just thought i'd throw my two cents in, but i've been playing with ayaka recently (lv.80 & 8/7/8 at the time of story) and i so happened to match up with a shenhe one time. she basically doubled my ayaka's cryo damage and that'll be my respect for shenhe mains for forever :thumbs_up:
(it's worth mentioning that my ayaka also is 80 unascended, and has a 50/213 crit ratio - 81/213 with harbinger buff, and about 1/5k attack, so ayaka isn't super weak on her own LOL)
