1:45 This is the type of shit I did constantly when I played this game many years ago. I'm glad Dunkey finds entertainment in these games the same way. Good stuff.
SM2 was even better. Hanging thugs up on lamp posts and using them as punching bags or carrying them up to the tallest building and diving down head first into the pavement lmao
You know, after rewatching all the Spiderman movies in chronological order before seeing No Way Home, it made me realize something. Sam Raimi’s Spiderman 1 was truly when I felt like *the circus* was indeed *in town*
Anyone that played this game as a kid remembers repeatedly failing both the mission that required you to diffuse GG’s bombs around the city within a time limit, as well as the one that required you to sneak around Oscorp.
NOPE! I am winning at both of those missions as a baby. I'm 16 now and its still very easy, I don't even have to turn on my brain despite being older than most gamers
So it wasn't just me, I never passed that mission when I had to defuse 3 of the goblin bombs. I almost wanna dig this game up again just to see if I can actually beat it this time around!
I love the fact that Bruce Campbell is in this as a tutorial guy because Sam Raimi had him in the Evil Dead franchise, even though he only had super minor cameos in the Spider-Man films.
This game holds so much nostalgia for me, I can remember always playing that tutorial with the narration over and over again and never even playing the actual game
I loved this game as a kid. The PS1 games were classics, but the second my little baby brain realized I could swing around the city, it was all I wanted to play 🕷
I loved this game so much, I'm so glad to see Dunkey having fun with it. That narrator guy used to be so much fun to trash talk. What great memories. Great video Dunk-Man-Do!
I remember telling my dad to do this level for me whenever it got hard because I really couldn't handle the stress of trying to be stealthy as a fucking toddler lmfao
lol weak, I loved that level as a kid. If you hid on the ceiling and listened to the guards dialog, they start debating whether or not the dog from the Scooby-Doo movie is real or CGI. lmao.
This game was my favourite as a kid, all the bosses, sneaking through Oscorp? That was so much fun. And then Spider-Man 2 came out and changed everything…
As a child I remember the game being so difficult that I never got past the section where you’re in the homemade Spider-Man wrestling outfit, and I was so disappointed that I couldn’t play as Spider-Man in his actual costume.
The first levels are genuinely the hardest levels for a long time because *every* enemy has a gun in a very enclosed space. Then you get much more open spaces and a lot of melee only enemies
I get lots of nostalgia from this. This was one of the first console games I’ve ever played. But also I never made it past the first level, because I lost the memory card.
Surely buying them now was a good thing no? As their value definitely took a hit, Microsoft probably got a good deal. And maybe Microsoft can sort that mess of a company out for the better for everyone, Microsoft ain’t saints but i reckon they’ll change things for the better at Activision/blizzard.
@@chriswyatt9869 It's just weird Microsoft's strategy is buy everything third-party instead of buying medium sized studios to make exclusives. It's kind of a dick move (especially for PS owners) and might create a sort of monopoly on triple A Western studios. We shouldn't expect companies to be bought ought for them to sort out their internal problems. Surely, there must be a better way.
Did...did Dingus just make this entire video for the one joke about Activision at the end? Was this whole video a setup for that one punch line? Truly, a master of his craft. Bravo.
I remember being able to play as Green Goblin in this with his glider and gadgets, shame there's so few games that let you do something similar it was incredible as a kid.
Like many here, I played this game when I was little. I remember it feeling pretty innovative and decently challenging at the time. I had a lot of fun... until I got to a part where you had to sneak past some robots in a corporate office. That junk was frustrating, and I never got past it, and now this game can die in a fiery hell along with my 3 broken controllers
Same story, I beat the game about 7 times as a kid and if there was I put the max difficulty, but every time I had to escape Oscorp I had to wait for my dad to arrive home and beat it for me.
Spider Man 2 from 2004 was one of the greatest open world games ever at the time. I remember swinging around NYC and diving off of the tallest building just to web and pull up at the VERY LAST SECOND! I haven't played it in YEARS, I wonder if it aged well. I remember the first one too, just not as fondly because it wasn't open world. I did enjoy some of those boss fights though, as it really made you FEEL like Spiderman. I also haven't played the new game(s) but it seems like there's a lot of inspiration drawn from the 2004 game in the new games on the PlayStation. I heard those really make you feel like a spider, even more like a Spider than the older game, but the trade off is you feel like less of a man.
I have a vivid childhood memory of beating this game, Tobey Maguire telling me “go outside and play”, and turning my head to look out my window to see freezing torrential downpour.

I remember playing this game as a kid, and it brings me so much joy to see Dunkey play it.
Circus in town?
Reminds me of the level in Disney Skate where Zurg hits you with his pellet gun lol

@@SaladDongs seems like you dont turn on your brain at all

So it wasn't just me, I never passed that mission when I had to defuse 3 of the goblin bombs. I almost wanna dig this game up again just to see if I can actually beat it this time around!

I remember telling my dad to do this level for me whenever it got hard because I really couldn't handle the stress of trying to be stealthy as a fucking toddler lmfao
I could never beat the level with the shocker
lol weak, I loved that level as a kid.

The first levels are genuinely the hardest levels for a long time because *every* enemy has a gun in a very enclosed space. Then you get much more open spaces and a lot of melee only enemies

Seriously I hope Microsoft crashes and burns for even trying. We all know how bad their games are already... whew.
$70 billion and still no good exclusives. Embarrassing
@@chriswyatt9869 big fear of layoffs looming
@@chriswyatt9869 It's just weird Microsoft's strategy is buy everything third-party instead of buying medium sized studios to make exclusives. It's kind of a dick move (especially for PS owners) and might create a sort of monopoly on triple A Western studios. We shouldn't expect companies to be bought ought for them to sort out their internal problems. Surely, there must be a better way.

Spider man 3 did this too
The Green Goblin mode was absolutely awesome. And surprisingly fleshed out, even had its own little alternate story.

I skipped every single mission with cheats until it was a green goblin level or something
I couldn't get pass a mission about kicking a balloon💀💀😂😂
That was literally my favorite part of the game
the only part i remembered from playing it was...circus in town?
Yeah and then spider man 3 was like spider man 2 but better
