I had one of these, a Casio Keyboard/Synth, a Squire Strat and a Tascam Portastudio growing up
Super lofi
Those sounds are fantastic! How do you set it up to change the voice every hit like you did in the video?
If u put them thro a pa system, they sound amazing.
Just got one but not opened parcel yet! Do you know how its sounds compare with dedicated Yamaha drum machines? I'm no expert but they sound pretty good to me. How about you?
Thx, does it have audio / midi out?
it has a stereo 1/4in out and midi in/out
Chris Artell thx dude
I have this drum machine at grandma's
How to pre-set ?
Very bas sound from speaker!
Wery nice
Bro I also have this same machine but is not working since 2 years
But i am trying to repair
Hey... Do you have these samples in wav format, and without the reverb?
Good question! Did You know that the license agreement with YAMAHA prohibits the use of "individual samples" taken from the DEVICE in the records of other software when purchasing a device in a certified manufacturer's showroom? Therefore, even if there are separate recordings of individual audio samples from this YAMAHA drum machine, Michael can only use them as a demonstration, but cannot provide them for use by other users in different music programs.
@@tufelkahonda5323 No I did not.. thanks for the info
@@tufelkahonda5323 you said "when purchasing a device in a certified manufacturer's showroom" Well what if you didn't purchase the device in a showroom? lol
I have this machine :_)
It’s a good machine, not bad considering I got it for free
Can I upload any of my own samples on it?
Unfortunately you can’t on this drum machine, this is over 20 years old so I don’t think sampling on a drum machine was existent back then
YAMAHA did not manufacture drum machines for the purpose of using the sounds of other devices or programs (or samples) that were developed by other companies not related to YAMAHA devices. This is an axiom!
i think you can actually run midi out of it into an external sampler and play your own samples that way, there are alot of inexpensive samplers that accept midi signals you could use
So I could use this in a DAW? FOr home recording?
This drum machine was created and was really relevant at a time when the world did not yet have DAW software... there was no Cubase, no Logic, no Cakewalk, no Sonar, no FL-Studio. Therefore, the demonstration of a drum machine hardly serves as an "example" for how to record it in a DAW.
Yes. Simply connect the headphone output to the input of your DAW interface and adjust the volume accordingly. This is an analog connection, but sounds fine. I believe the unit also has a midi output.

@@KeyboardKrazy49 your point upheld sir/ma'am.
Sooo I've been trying to midi sync my dd50 with a Korg SQ1 and it's been impossible. This accounts for my initial response. You're great. I am not. Ughhhhh
you sound like jarvis from iron man
I’ve never seen it so I have no idea who Jarvis is
