The jump back to the rock from the crank room is probably the hardest part. I managed everything pretty easily up until there and its just never happening.
Long term player here - looking at this jump, has anyone tried keeping FORWARD held when landing for that minute acceleration she's given? That usually saves a fall from a jump that *shouldn't usually be quite possible*
When you have weapons drawn Lara rotates at full speed straight away instead of accelerating (by design, to help in combat). It also cancels out of special camera angles and is something to do if I get bored.
Hey! Just had a question; I am curious to know why do you avoid using the zip line? Great run! I recently casually plaid this level and oh my god, the stress at trying to control that Kayak 🤣
That's impossible..it took me about am hour ( going the intended route) to finish the level..can't still figure out how u got on 2 that kayak in the rapids..
I had a lot of practice. For the kayaking up until the first fork I had a sequence of paddles memorised that would get me to the right place. The kayak is hard to improvise with as if you touch anything you lose all momentum and get swept away.
There are 400 "glitchless" speedrun videos for every ONE video of someone speed running in a way literally anyone is going to be able to replicate. Banana jumps and frame perfect twist backflips onto exact pixels etc etc.😒
No, flare cancels are allowed in glitchless. It makes for better flowing runs and if it was considered one then lots of other animation cancels would be too. It's a rule about as old as TR running, people outside the community regularly get annoyed about it and call me a cheater, but it is how it is. It would be less of an issue if we had a different name for the category - no major glitches for example. Even then you would get people getting angry because you didn't follow the exact route intended :P
ActionTurnip GOG version. They also appear in the 'Greatest Raids' version I have and are on the Playstation as Bahamete used them in his TAS. What version do you have?
Some old CD-ROM version... That's interesting that the level file itself seems to be different. Look at this shit: s15.postimg.org/n0wb0frvv/notriangles.png xD not really a big deal since I doubt I'll be speedrunning this level any time soon... but yeah, I wonder how many other levels might be different O_o
No way this is the Steam version. The way the kayak handles in this video confirms that. I wish I would have just paid for the GOG versions of the tomb raider series instead of getting the shitty and buggy versions from Steam.
The steam version is pretty much the same installation as GOG. This video has exceptionally calculated kayaking to the point where he makes it look way less clunky than it is.
The jumps you make are mind-blowing considering the precision and timing they require.
I just can't get over the magnificence of the effect at 2:49.

Stuck on that too
That’s why the uploader has cut just before it, must have taken them about 1000 tries and then uploaded the one that worked

@@rarakurofuto that's what I did to make it, and spam roll just as she lands.
Absolutely incredible. Well done.
glitchless speedruns are so clever. Awesome!
I remember the kayak section, so difficult ...
2:57 : No comment ^^
This is so cool
Amazing! One question though, I get the flare thing, but why do you draw her guns at random moments? What does that help do?

Cool :)
@@chreden Is 2:26 supposed to sound like that?
@@CaptainOctane Yes, the giant water plug is being pulled so that’s the sound it makes. I recently played the level on PC and it’s the same sound
@@DUDUDISCH They actually cut that sound in the remastered version of Madubu Gorge
amazing...
Okay i thought i know the game. But i didnt know there was an alternative way ...
Life saver!
That's just amazing!

Well that’s damn impressive! How many years, hours have you put into this game?
A...Mazing!!!
Wow now that’s a speedrun!
The balls on this man.
Impressive :)

Epic.
sorry i am late but isn't the flare bug considered a glitch?

Those triangle land sectors at 1:45 don't exist on my version of the game! What version are you using?

ActionTurnip Maybe you could share the levels over on Tombrunner and we can do exciting research!
Waaah cooool 😮🤔
Never thought of this before 😮3 🤔

im in PC , how to get out of the f*** boat , what buttons ?
Roll + Left/Right. You need to be in calm water or wedged on land.
@@chreden thanks
2:36 i can't do this 😒
Fucking awesome!
wow just wow i remember the first time i played this level.... i hated it.
Wow
Bueno 😎
How do you make the jump at 2:37? I've tried for hours
+Icy Poison It's quite tricky. You have to turn slightly in midair. If you watch apel's single segment run you can see a setup to use.
chreden Hmm alright, thanks. :)
🎮
how the fuck
its not glitchless (flare cancel timed jumps, etc), but still amazing.
