Thank you very much I fixed my iPower SUA5000 with this video. The main needle that has like 10 litle holes were all clogged up. Greetings from Puerto Rico
Thanks so much - same issue here, however I notice it smooths out when it warms up. My last shop class that had small engine repair was in 1983 - may be time to take a refresher.
I had similar problem with my generator was surging and after watching your video I was able to fixt it just replied the oring Thank you for your video legend
I love em when it's a Honda or Chonda with low oil cut off switches and only the oil is low because most don't read enough to see you literally fill the oil to where almost runs out. Otherwise, yep... it's the air, fuel and/or fire (fire never seen an issue) and the one rare exception was the Champion 4000W that needed the valve lash adjusted. Seems the same outside of H/Chonda'ville designs. I like my type-2 form-a-gasket also when using bad gaskets since amazes me how I can save on that expense that's really only more a time thing if in a pinch.
I have a Honda powered Homelight. The only problems I've ever had with it are gunk in the bowl, courtesy of our fine legislators, and a broken governor spring (fortunately makes it run slow vs. blowing it up).
Long term exposer yes it would. But it is diluted to only 60% and flashes off long before harm can be done. Pure Acetone with out question will swell seals in a matter of minutes but they will shrink as it flashes off.
The best thing to use in Generators if they're being stored is True Fuel or VP Small Engine Flue, no ethanol and it has a very long shelf life. Just wish it was available at the pump, at a decent price.
Acetone burns like a mother. Unfortunately I speak from experience. Before they banned tricolor that was also some nasty stuff to come back at your face.
Good tip on the Danco. Nice informative video. At the perfect level for those that already "have a clue". Thanks for posting this.

Spot on fix , I had no spare jet so used a wire from a wire brush but thanks for showing me the fix 👍
Thanks, just helped with my Honda 6500. Good short detailed video 👍
I unclogged the idle jet with a litle trash bag ties, burned the plastic, and used the wire. The idle jet was 100% clogged.
Thanks for the vid.
Question- I’m having surging but it’s a new carb, and fresh gas in a new tank. Where should I be looking? Suggestions? Thanks
Does it surge under load or even out?
@@cliff9136 , both, in my particular case.
You ever figure this out? Going through the same thing right now. Surging under no load when I take the choke off and then stalling

I would not buy a generator with out it. Period
Low oil shut down will save the engine
some great information..... Great education The Universality of UA-cam .👍

thorough. Appreciated sir
Excellent man. Just came across this video. Im doing the same to my champion tomorrow. 👍
Never a bad idea to try a larger idle jet while your in there. They are most likely jetted on the lean side from the factory.
What do you think about a dual fuel generator that runs on propane just fine, but will not run on gasoline? What do you think might be the culprit?
Will that spray HURT rubber seals 🦭 or gaskets? Thank you for the video 📹. I just learned something again from you my friend 😊!!!!!

Did you remove the nozzle from the first carburettor and then install it in the carburetor that you have in the generator
Good stuff, I got a Troybuilt 7500/10200 and it’s surging and I’m pretty sure this is gonna be the issue. Thanks bro

Are all low end idle jets pressed , mine is a generac 4000 watt
Would it be a good idea to run SEAFOAM through the system once in a while?
Thank you!!!!!!!!! I fixed mine thanks to you!
Hey buddy I got a 3500 watt champion generator n mine is surging. Can u help? Where u located?
Can a stock pilot jet from Amazon work for majority of generator?
You can learn something new every day but be careful you'll shoot your eye out with that carb cleaner

No air filter?🤔
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, this was helpful.
Bro thank you so much for this
Shoot i still have a 71 and 73 homelite chainsaws that never even had the carbs cracked open and they rip!!’
I was referring to Homelights attempt to take on Predator about 15 years ago. There is a reason Homedepot carries Duromax now.
Bet you friend is loving you about now
yes i very much appreciate having Neil (RedneckComputerGeek) as a friend and i try to help him out as much as i can
I agree it’s really hard finding someone who will fix it right
Perfect fix
I love it. Generator is 13 years old and bad maintenance. But it's always the ethanol's fault
Use that grinder to cut a channel for that rain to get off the fuel tank.
On the new ones I’ve been having to drill it out a tad but not very often on older ones
Well it’s 3 weeks later and west Texas is covered in ice and 18 degrees
i cant get my generater to run
Not good time for that problem
Thanks
Thank you for the video
If you blow here……… 😂
99% of the time carb just needs a good cleaning and ultra sonic cleaner and welding tip cleaner
pinch pinch blow you better calm down there !
