My Lowe’s had 75% all trees, shrubs and $3 knockout roses last week. I bought a LOT. Still working on getting some in the ground thought I potted several and lined my patio w them. I saved so much money 💰! It was a great time. ☺️

Slim pickings at our Loews but it is so damn hot that I don't want to plant anyway. Like seeing the scruff back Stuart. Always a joy when you post. : )
I was using biopac when I was planting during the 100° days. I find that I can get them to stick but it's so hard to go out and dig holes in 100° weather even with the power planter
@@landscaperescuewithstuartm6141 I am a 70 year old widow so not doing too much digging. Haha. Stuart, I had a feeling those Salvia were coming home with you the moment you spied them 😉. We know you'll give them some love. I confess to a bit of envy, however. My local Lowe's of late has had slim pickings on clearance. Everything seems to be in the final throws of death, all crispy and gasping. On the flip side, I've found a few nice things at a local independent garden center. My wallet likes the clearance deals when I can get them, but I do love supporting our local small business too. 👍
I can't have this Jess girl singing on UA-cam and me not answering in my own way. It was kind of difficult to navigate the whole UA-cam copyright issues so it was a lot better when I first started but I had to Jack with the audio to get it to pass the algorithm.
A fun plant shopping video. My local MI Lowes has a minimal amount of clearance racks with everything else at regular prices, looking good, and well-watered this far into the season. So I've been leaving empty handed. In my garden, I have a regular forsythia, and every time a lower branch touches ground, a new bush starts, so one has to be watchful. I did add another one with this method.
Geesh, our lowes still has crappy clearance. Soooo freaking jealous. I did go out and bought (unplanned) a limelight and quick fire hydrangea tree and a couple of fire chief arbs. 🤣😂🤣😂 I need Lowes around here to get it together before I take a road trip to the Lowes down there!

I started watching Jes, too! Just subbed to her channel last week. She’s adorable! 😳😣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Oh, Stuart, you are too funny! I really thought you were gonna sing!🤣🤣🤣 My Lowe’s never has those huge packages of peat, etc.
Nice haul. I did some clearance plant shopping today at Walmart. Finally got those burgundy Coralbell on sale for $3 a pot (I grabbed 4 to go along with my hosta) and got the last 2 lillies they had also for $3 a pot. I really need to get over to Lowe's and see what they have on clearance now too.
Hydrangea flop is preventable. I took some green twine and wrapped it around a lower branch and then an upper and so on to create a web. It’s one piece, so they all support each other. It sounds complicated, but it only took a few minutes and no flop. For the pampas grass, you could let it sit in the garage for the first winter and then plant in spring. With a little water, it should be fine. I want to try it, too.
Yeah I've seen people use supports for the limelights I'm going to need something a little bit more maintenance-free but I am going to keep them on the property so that'll be something that I'm definitely going to utilize good tips thank you. I used to get some good deals on the clearance racks at Lowe's, but it seems like they need to update their discount "formula" to go with their higher prices. Yet I've run across an overall 75% off discount on some Fridays. However, while I'm not a big Walmart fan, I've discovered that their plant discounts, unlike Lowe's, are not suffering plants that haven't sold, but are dictated by the suppliers, such as "Better Homes & Gardens", making for great deals on really healthy plants!
I see that too Walmart has better retail prices on knockout roses. And their discounts are kind of like the old discounts at Lowe's used to put out before that matrix.
