It’s so surreal seeing coach on dropouts, coach Cal came to my marketing class to talk to us about sports marketing. Cal is such a nice person who took the time to talk to 300 college students at 9:30 in the morning. I have a huge respect for Cal and the team this will go all the way with Oscar and the rest! Can’t wait to go to a game this year at RUPP arena

I had seen this interview before as a UK fan, not knowing Zach...but now Zach is everywhere and Coach Cal is out at Kentucky. I had to comeback for a 2nd watch. Zach saying Theiro as his favorite player, 💯.
I love kentucky basketball, grew up in lexington.. there is no way we win the championship this year. our offense is messed up, oscar looks hurt to me, same with wheeler. jacob is getting lost on defense. I think we should probably play small bal to win really, with Oscar Chris C.J. Antonio and Cason, and bring wheeler, toppin, and either ware, or big fella off the bench. I think Chris Livingston is such a unique player and hasnt really gotten a role yet, have him play PF the kid can rebound he is more athletic than anyone guarding him, and they can play super fast and 4-1 to give oscar space. Wheeler would be like an insane change of pace player off the bench same with jacob. Idk, my two cents.
This 2022-23 Kentucky Team Has All The Key Components To Get Far In The NCAA Tournament In March 2023, I Really Believe The Cats Can Get To The Final Four And Possibly The Championship With Oscar Back And With A Great Shooter In Cason Wallace And Antonio Reeves And Defense Has Been Looking Really Good!!! 😉 Can't Wait For Tournament Time!!! 🐱🏀☝
I really wish somebody would ask coach Cal who is the better rebounder between Oscar Tishebwe and Marcus Camby. 😩 I just want to hear what Cal thinks about that. Marcus Camby was a beast on the boards too.
As a Kentucky native whos never missed a game in my 25 years of being a fan of the Wildcats. I'm just about done. Calipari can't coach, simple as that. Every year we have the talent, one of the greatest recruitment schools of all time, every year. But he just can't execute..
We honestly need to fire him he’s offense is so bad it wastes time and doesn’t give anyone a good shot or break down the defense so at this point he’s hurting this team more than he’s helping!!!!!
Team was better last season. Unreasonable fans forget that reason for the allure of tournament is the single elimination aspect of the tournament. They got upset. Virginia lost as a 1 seed to a 16 seed, and won the championship the following season. I don't think this team is as good, but hopefully they will improve. Once the tournament starts, you never know.
More than MKG being a "glue guy" he was the "motor" that kept that 2012 team humming. He started the infamous "Breakfast Club", and he was a guy Cal could rely on to shut down the other team's best scorer, get a crucial rebound, or out-hustle anyone on the court to a loose ball. Without him, that team doesn't win a National Title.
I know it's early in the season right now! But we aren't very good right now, we don't have any quality wins right now, only Michigan which is a borderline quality win I think. SEC play is gonna be extremely difficult for us I think but hopefully we'll get better but honestly I don't think we'll win another title this year, no way!!!
0% percent chance. Zero. I miss Pitino. Cal is good at throwing his hands up and making a show on the sideline, that’s about it. We don’t run plays, it’s embarrassing. I miss watching us in the 90’s and early 2000’s. How do you give this guy a lifetime contract? Does not care about UK, but hey we are putting people in the NBA! It’s sad.
His "offense" boils down to 30 seconds of stall ball followed by either chucking up a well defended 3 (that we have no shot at rebounding) or barreling into the lane, out of control, hoping the refs will bail us out. (and probably missing free throws) He was the last person in Rupp to figure out "Throw the ball inside to the reigning NPOY who outclasses the opposition in strength and skill by orders of magnitude" then In the post game presser he acted like he should be inducted into the HoF for a second time just for figuring that out. It boggles the mind.
@@ajhieb Very good analysis. If Bill Self had Oscar you would see how a big should be utilized. Cal is a great recruiter but not a very good bench coach and has no success at getting kids to accept a system where everybody has a role to play.
