- A visit to Blists Hill Victorian Town Museum, Ironbridge Gorge, including a tour of the newly opened Canal Street. Filmed by Virtual Shropshire www.virtual-shropshire.co.uk April 2009
Hate to be a snooze, but "Turn of the century Victorian" would be a time that ended in 1901, am I right? The songs being sung in the pub are from 1912 (Tipperary) and 1915 (Goodbyee and Pack Up Your Troubles).
we had a brilliant and full visit 11th Sept 2014 to Blists hill . Wonderful helpful staff and volunteers. not enough hours in the the day to look round everything. Its all charity run, no central government funding, so save up your time and pennies for a visit.and imagine what life might have been like for some of your edwardian relatives.
I love Blists Hill, my favourite place evar!!
been there 3 times xD
the chip shop is ace
but mr Alsopp the headmaster at the school gave me an eerful >_>
@sjmachrihanish ... it is the turn of the victorian century, its the changeover period from the Victoria Era into the new one.. so the songs being sang are correct.
we are going there soon as a school trip
There's a Local Police Constable.
25 on his wing collar.
I love this place Mr plumery and the policeman is good
@Theesunshines hi, went last week realy good , you will luv it .
Halloween is good, the people going there make more effort than the staff. Fireworks a scare and old fashioned fish and chips a perfect combination, oh and the fresh bread and the victorian fair!i hope they do more thiis this year. What about making a time machine to make out your going back in time someone there should reccomend that as it would be a cool attraction. Beats others.
And every body,s getting pissed in the pub by the sound of it..! just like they did in the victorian times..!
Dovelands went
