ZBots and Unproduced Concept drawing- The History Of Z-Bots Micro Machines unboxing & Review!
In this episode I take a look back at the 90's Retro Minifigures ZBots by Micromachines, taking a look at the toys, the commercials, and the off shoots they inspired and were inspired by!
From games such as Turrican & Zero Decided to TV Shows like Reboot and Boys Master.
I also take a look at some of the many knock-offs that were made as a result of this obscure little toy line!
Love the enthusiasm for one of my favorite childhood toys.
I loved Zbots so much. I just randomly remembered that one of my best friends and I collected them. Your design is so cool and I love the way this picture came out. Seriously, great job, and thanks for the nostalgia!
Another great video! ZBots is another toy line that I missed out on, but after seeing this, there are definitely a couple I want to get my hands on! Especially the one with the triangular head and shoulder pylons (Stelthoid / Zerotron).

I still have quite a few Zbots from many years ago. I could never bring myself to get rid of them. Probably some of my favorite toys.
Love this video!! Me and my brother used to have so many z bots! I'm a vintage toy collector but I completely forgot about these so after this video I had to go on ebay and buy a lot of them!!! Love them!! Thank u for sparking my memory of these awesome figures ur the man!!!👍👍🤘🤘
I loved the Z-bots and they still inspire my drawings today. I had so much fun creating stories and characters and powers for them. If they'd had comics or a show I'd have loved it but I think the lack of that sparked my imagination more.

I just had a crazy nostaglic momement. I used to draw a guy that looked very similar to your design but never knew what to do with it. ZBots were like Pokemon before that was a thing. I had just about every one you showed and it took me back to a time when nothing else mattered. It was so exciting seeing new designs I didn't have and convincing my parents to get me another pack to add to the collection.

I can remember from the early 90s a gross toy line. The one I had was a guys head inside a plastic dome. And when you pushed a button green liquid would squirt out its mouth like it was puking.

@@slimehousetv hard to explain mate. It had a red circular base and a clear tube with a rounded top and inside was a gross looking dude with his mouth open. There was a little button you'd push on the bottom that would pump green water out of his mouth and drain back into the base and pump out again. I can't find anything on it. If I find any pics I'll instagram message u them.
@@lukewood4339 they sound like a Germs, but they can't be germs if they have a function like that, deffo sound like a 90s toy your alright there, the 90s is cesspit of weird discount store toys that went under the radar though so it might take me a while before I find exactly what they are haha
Smashing video Slime! Its refreshing to hear someone UK side of the pond who knows of/remembers the Z-Bots, they were incredibly niche here, I think only Woolworths and Toys'R'Us stocked them.

Holy shit, I had toys from each of those lines. BotsMaster was pretty cool, ExoSquad I had a huge collection, Old G1 Transformers, to Dino Riders, to MASK. 90's was pretty amazing time to grow up, Little bit of each really, most came from GoodWill, yardsales, or flea markets. I remember going to one with my mom back in the 90's/00'sish seeing old Masters of the Universe big playset toys for like .50 cent to a $1.

Bro! I thought I was the only one that imagined a character running and flipping over obstacles outside the car! Mine was basically a ninja like shinobi. I played the arcade game at the local pizza place a lot. The genesis game Cyborg Justice was my favorite. I rented it all the time.

This is such a sick video! I still have a ton of zbots and vehicles. I love that you drew the character that you would imagine following the car.
For me, it was the Sonic design from the Sonic CD opening that I would imagine following alongside the car and doing stunts and stuff on the terrain we would pass by. Lol

Here after watching your Mighty Max video. Fucking loved Zbots as a kid man! This takes me back I completely forgot about these! Wish my mom didn't sell all my shit as a kid. Only thing I still have from the past toy wise is ghostbusters building, ninja turtles, Pogs collection, the MM Skull Mountain with missing pieces, star wars collection and wrestling figures collection. Wish still had my Monster in my pocket collection too. Also, love the artwork man. And the music playing during your videos fucking slaps bro. Dig how personal you get with your stories too man explaining the mindset behind shit. Great energy and another banger video!

Ive got a robot dude who's about the same size as a JOE, but he's not from a line I remember. Any idea how I can locate info on a random figure, from a random set?
Also, When I was a kid, my older brother brought toys home from New Mexico that were Indian warriors. They had rubbery skin, and when you made the arm go into a flexing position, the muscles grew and you could see and feel it through the rubber. Have you ever heard of that as a feature in a toy?
Maybe a 'plotter' by the same guys who do the work bots I show in this video bro?

@@slimehousetv The Bot dude was made in China, 1984 W.E.P. LTD. His primary color is red with purple forearms and feet. His feet are big and they kinda look like bells. He has yellow hands, mohawk, and mouth/eyes. He has horns and pronounced shoulders that look like small sting ray wings. It's a robot though. With a 6-pack and crazy lats. He's weird and looks pretty tough. I have no idea who he is or where he comes from. He looks like he has yellow socks.
@@slimehousetv This dude was hard to remember, but he was rubbery like a Barbie, and he was a Native American Indian, so he was real tan, he was muscular, and his size was about the size of a He-Man. He was low key, defiantly not from a Movie or Cartoon. I think his clothes were cloth, but I have a vivid memory of tripping out about how cool it was that you could FLEX his arms and the little rubber arm would build a tiny bicep muscle. It had to be rare, but I was curious if you've even heard of a play feature like that. Thanks for always replying to your fans. YOU RULE.
