Diana Dang Karima, is wonderful and did make it into a tag. Watch to the VERY end, she tagged some cool beauty influencers and she also tagged all of us including you! 😉
Mac Stars and Rockets was literally the eyeshadow that got me interested in makeup. As a teen I never really wore more than eyeliner and mascara and then around 19 a friend who had like every Mac shadow at the time did my makeup for fun and used that shade and I fell in love. I purchased my own and my passion for makeup really began after that. I’m now 36 and still learning but that will always hold a spot in my heart. You should try some of the bodyography glitter pots. They are gorgeous for one and done looks. My favorite is Stratus. Is a beautiful light pink shade with a gorgeous shimmer. Also drugstore wise I’m loving the L’Oréal Paris brilliant eyes liquid shadows. Moonstone is my favorite but honestly I love them all. 🤗
Your way of explaining the formulation of the product and editing is truly unbeatable. Feels like I’m watching a review from very elaborate online magazine! 👏🏻
One and done shadows are such an underrated look. I wonder if we’ll ever see this look trend in the beauty community🤔 you can really look well put together without a cut crease or 20 different transition shades! I have been experimenting with minimalistic eye looks lately and my eyes actually look bigger and brighter. Great video!
Most youtubers have contracts and want to make money. They want to sell twenty products on just one look. If the youtuber looks like your skin colour and eye colour you might get good looks by buying the same products. I rather get advice from make up artists working on my face when I am in a sephora or similar shop. A working woman can not spend 90 minutes every morning on makeup. When you need to get kids ready for school forget about having more than 5 minutes for makeup. I rather sleep longer and take 30 minutes for shower and makeup together.
Well there is life outside of UA-cam and Instagram and so much more than cut creases. Monochrome, minimalist makeup has been on trend on runways for years btw
Thank you for the compilation! Love that you talk about older products - with all the new releases everyone seems to forget about gorgeous makeup with was released awhile ago. Thank you for the awesome work that you've done❤🌼
Alchemy by Nabla is such a beautiful one and done duochrome. It shifts purple, blue and I swear I sometimes see pink. Online swatches don’t do it any justice.
I agree! I have 6 of them. And they're the only stick eyeshadows that I repurchase again and again. But I think Kiko is not available in Australia, where Karima is from :)
I bought Kiko shadowstick a long time ago from Europe and I fell in love with it and it lasted for ages! I hope to find it again in the next year or two.
@Amirah A You are so lucky to live in a place where the kiko stores are found. I have to wait till my next trip to Europe, definetly go in and check their products!
Karima, I don't want consistent uploads from if this is the quality we get as a trade off. SO WORTH IT. You are such a delight and your recommendations have never steered me wrong.
I love watching Karima because she's just so happy with what she's creating/doing. I love getting positive vibes from her aside from learning more about make-up. Thank you, Karima! ^^ stay safe always :)
I've been getting into the one -and-done eyeshadows this year! My favourite discoveries would be the Kosas 10 second eyeshadow in globe and the Huda beauty matte and metal in french lace which is the perfect pastel purple/lilac. Mac woodwinked, satin taupe and sable are old favourites too.
I love everything about this video, the informative content, the aesthetic, the humor. Especially appreciate how this acknowledges my lazy desire to only apply one layer and then stop. I feel seen.
I was incredibly stoked for this. I like to keep it pretty simple on my eyes, but your techniques can take it to a new level. Thanks for all of the recommendations! Thanks so much, chickadee🍃🌸
Benefit used to do a cream eyeshadow called Skinny Jeans which was my ride or die cool-toned one & done shadow. Never found a replacement but By Terry Misty Rock is a long-time fave.
By Terry bronze moon! Forever and ever, will always be my one and done go to (but I'll sometimes put a pop of a copper shimmer right in the middle for little extra dimension). I'm also a fan of the mecca max zoom sticks, especially for the price point!
What an unexpected surprise!?! Just found you tonight, have already watched this tutorial 3X, and subscribed! Not only did I enjoy your presentation and demeanor, this is exactly the type of tutorial I have been looking for! Thank you!
What a video. As a teacher, I really really do not have time in the morning to do something fancy with millions of eyeshadows. You really give me ideas to save time and to be stylish
You can't even understand how much i love your video and the way you talk and laugh and how you describe the products. Please don't ever stop youtube ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Karima, I adore how much you get exited over old releases) and you are so cheerful Totally agree that those eyeshadows look like you've used more than one shade once applied over the lid
This video just made my day! Girl, Mac woodwinked and stars and rockets are still the GOAT! Who cares about regular videos. You give us quality over quantity , nostalgia, and humor. I wish more youtubers would take trips down memory lane and help to rediscover past loves . I'm over new release videos. My favorite one and done shadows are colourpop supershock in" wattles", MUG "in the spotlight", Bobbi Brown luxe eye shadow "metal rose", Mac "saddle", "soft brown", and "all that glitters", Dose of colors Friendcation palette " girl bye".

Maybelline has many amazing shades, right now I used half a jar of Dusk Doll, also Permanent Taupe is awesome if you like cool tone eyeshadow base!!! Xxx
This was such a comforting video to watch, if that makes a lick of sense - maybe it's the products you mention, esp the MAC paint pots, but this reminded me so much of the old videos i used to watch (and rewatch and rewatch) from you in the Olden Times, when i was first getting into your channel. But then all of the new editing you're playing around with highlights how much time has passed! Your style is more elegant, a little more "adulty", but still the same in so many ways because it was always very classic. About half of these products went into my Nordstrom cart, haha. I'm not going to be able to get any of them though - I am dead broke from Christmas shopping (Christmas Eve is literally 90 days from today, i found that out at work today...) and shall be for nearly the rest of the year. But i do love a window shop! Thank you for your content, as ever.
Also Aurics got some creme shadow pots with powder toppers attached to them that are beautiful. Ego is my favorite it’s a grayish/greenish color and it’s gorgeous!
This is the video I never knew I needed!!! I could listen to you talk about foiled eyeshadows and Mac nostalgia shades forever. You make me want to grab all the Mac you mention with no questions asked!!!
One shadow is the way to go! Such a fresh and modern way to wear color. Almay velvet foil cream shadow in Cupid Glaze is a fave that I discovered from Shelbey Wilson! I also love Natasha Denona Duo Chrome Crystal Top Coat in Lavender Gold, Glossier Skywash in Pool for a matte 60s moment, and Urban Decay Solstice for the ultimate complex duo chrome look that I’ve gotten compliments on for years.
I totally love the Kosas 10 second liquid eye shadows. They are my favourite one and done eye makeup. Lovely shimmery finish on the lid that blends out effortlessly with a fluffy synthetic brush. Wears really well and for a long time without fading on my oily eyelids too. Love 😍
Hey! I had been watching makeup videos on YT since the early days, you are by far my fav new find and I love love your approach and taste. So helpful and enjoyable. I also really appreciate that you still like Mac, I feel like a lot of people have abandoned them because they are not making the best decisions with all of their weird limited releases. But they still make some great stuff. You are helping me use products and that I especially appreciate. Love it!
I wanted CT Marie Antoinette sooo much years ago (when I was a teenager), I watched so many videos featuring it and scoured the internet for reviews 😆 You've renewed my want for it, it looks lush
I recently discovered a great one and done eyeshadow... in a blush! Clinique bashful plum. My mum cleaned it out of her collection and I snapped it up, always keen for free makeup. Sadly I quickly realised why she hadn’t reached for it - as a blush it was a bit too pigmented and hard to work with, as well as being a strange sort of browny peach shade with a kind of purple cool toned shimmer, which even if you got the blending right could look slightly odd on the cheeks. But one day I decided to try it as an eyeshadow and wow, it looks amazing as a one and done. A quick internet search tells me it’s discontinued (of course 🙄) but I’m happy to know there are loads of other great one and dones out there for me to try, and I am inspired to play around with my existing collection as well! Thank you Karima!
Finally did it - rewatched this video and could no longer hold back: bought the By Terry Misty Rock and the Revlon Sierra. Can't tell you how excited I am to try these when they arrive !!
I bought by terry misty rock and the tom ford bronze shade because of your recommendation and absolutely love them, especially now that I do quite minimalist makeup They are also so great to travel with cause you can just take 2 sticks and a bronzer and have some stunning looks
Karima! I thank you and your raw right eye for showing us the beautiful shadows! I remember you mentioned it on your Insta story. Also my wallet weeps but I always am looking for a one and done shadow.

I looove MAC’s Groundwork. Oh and I’m happy you mentioned Soba! You should try Quite Natural paintpot as well, it’s a darker brown. Also for a sparkly one I would recommend MAC’s pressed pigment in Deeply Dashing. It was a LE shadow which is stupid because it is stunning!
I'm all about one and done eyeshadows and I use burberry singles almost exclusively for that. Almond, pale barley, rosewood, even lavender blue is amazing!
I have always been a fan of the one and done for all the reasons you mention. Yeah contouring the eye with shadow is fun, but sometimes a one and done can be effortlessly chic. One and done or two different shadows on each eye are my fav.
You may not count on this channel for consistent uploads, but you CAN count on this channel for original, aesthetically elevated, inspiring and thoughtful content.
One and done eyeshadow looks are my favorite for day time. And night time. Its just so easy and cool. And sooo the vibe that im into these days! Reaaaally hope this is gonna be a tag that people will follow♡
Yes, just started the video, already can't wait to see which ones you love! I prefer one and done shades/formulas on bad chronic illness days, where my muscles won't let me do a lot 🙄
I’m so into one and done right now but I didn’t think I could get anything out of yet another upload on the subject. But ya got me at the very last with the huda beauty suggestion. I’d not thought of using my huda palette that way. So thanks. More fun colours to make pretty with 🥰
My favorite one & done eyeshadow of all time is the Armani Lid Tint in Camel Smoke! It's a light wash & it just enhances my eyes and I'm just obsessed!!
Elise Jahraus Karima, is wonderful and did make it into a tag. Watch to the VERY end, she tagged some cool beauty influencers and she also tagged all of us including you! 😉
My absolute fave one and done shade is Antique Bronze from the Modern Renaissance palette. It was the first shade in there that I panned and finished :D Wild Side and Narcisso from Nabla are also [chef's kiss]
Great video! I’m glad it appeared on my feed after watching Mel Thompson’s one and done favorites. In between you, Mel, Stephanie Marie and Mariah’s I have a big wish list and I thought I had a huge single collection. I was mesmerized by your shadow and after digging around my By Terry sticks I was pleasantly surprised to find that I own it! My favorites are Tom Ford Young Adonis (might be discontinued but it’s readily available), Tom Ford Golden Peach, Victoria Beckham Mink Lid Lustre , Chantecaille Pangolin and Elephant, and the Kosas 10 second Eyeshadows.
PLEASE LET THIS BE A TAG!! Amazing work put here, Karima. The quality is ridiculously stunning.

@@ldubss Right? Very curious!
The Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eyeshadows are my absolute favourites.
I got the holiday set a few years back, and they are my go-to eyeshadows.

DANG Alchemy looks divine 🤤
I have a few Nabla shadows (also mattes) that are awesome for one eyeshadow looks. Their colors are just perfect.
I love Mac Sable for this look. Its a bronze with a sheen of aubergine. Beautiful.
Your blending is AMAZING! And I love you and your red eye lids 😂
😅♥️
I don’t know why nobody talks about the Kiko stick eyeshadows: they cost peanuts but perform like the by Terry!
They're fantastic! Kiko doesn't get spoken about much anyway
IKR! I got a dark blue stick eyeshadow and it's dooooopppeeeeee

MAC Stars and Rockets reminds me of an old 1980's Loreal shadow palette with that exact shade. Ahh, retro memories. Fantastic run down, thanks!

This is my favorite makeup video I've seen in a long time 😍 I'm a full-time working mom on the go, but I still like to look put together ❤ thank you
This is the exact video I needed! And your editing is out of this world! I am definitely getting M.A.C.’s Groundwork eyeshadow!
Groundwork is BOMB 🔥
You have such a great personality...and now I want to buy all of these shades!
You’re such a natural in front of the camera Karima ; so relaxed, comfortable and enthusiastic 😁 Great to learn from a fellow Aussie 🇦🇺
My absolute fave one and done shade is Antique Bronze from the Modern Renaissance palette. It was the first shade in there that I panned and finished :D Wild Side and Narcisso from Nabla are also [chef's kiss]
Great video! And you mentioned all my fav Canadian UA-camrs!
So good to see a fellow Aussie doing her thing andddddddddddd doing it so well. Very informative i loved this..Well done..
I love your editing and excitement for makeup!❤️
