Heads up that in the video, I make mention of a Quaquaval ex Deluxe Battle Deck preview. I switched the release order at the last minute so that Meowscarada came out first. The Quaquaval video will be out on Friday and I’ll put links to both in both videos later this week.
As a relatively new player (been playing ~2 months now) I really like how you make a note on each card as you breakdown the deck. Really nice when trying to learn the breadth and depth of the game.
Upgrade videos for Meowscarada and Quaquaval will be out on Wednesday and Monday respectively. If new cards from Obsidian Flames change how these should be upgraded, I’ll make new videos for them closer to release!
It’s not supposed to be at the same level as a League Battle Deck. That’s why it’s rated play level 2 instead of play level 3 like League Battle Decks are. It’s mean to be an intermediate step between level 1 and 3, as not everyone is ready to make the jump to 3 but want something more strategic than 1. These are also prices cheaper to reflect the difference.
Come on I bet it's all your friends right? Just for your stream. Tell me who playing this water deck? Come on show us the real win. End of the game with DAMAGE AND WIN COIN FLIPS show us this is real game with opponents you don't know them!!
@@BenPaz I explicitly call out in the video that this is Casual matchmaking, which I did because this deck as is isn't good enough to compete in Ranked. More detailed explanation with proof coming soon to reply to the OP.
@@InThirdPerson Yeah this version of the deck is kind of rough these types of product is a perfect middle ground between the theme decks and League decks. 2 archetypes that are neat to be converted into better decks.
I don’t know who is playing the water deck, as I went through matchmaking for it. I have never played viewers on stream and I haven’t played friends on stream in years and I’ve never used that footage in a deck profile video. If I were to do so, I would explicitly call it out so that viewers understand what they’re watching, just like I specifically call out these matches were played in Casual and not Ranked because the deck isn’t good enough to compete there as is. Any footage taken from a stream also comes with the full VOD on this playlist, where you can see all the matchmaking and all the losses too ua-cam.com/play/PLiabVYLvuoxiD-gNeQvMyCjRWtlIPqkzK.html I don’t make these videos to make myself look good winning. Again, anything from a VOD is present in the VOD playlist above and I showcase losses in these deck profile videos if the match was entertaining and there are lessons to be learned from my losses. Just a few examples: ua-cam.com/video/gRinUFPD0hM/v-deo.html 27:34 ua-cam.com/video/D6i9YoNQ8Uc/v-deo.html 44:49 The match in question was recorded just before my stream on Sunday. I still have the raw footage, which I’ll post right here so you can see right here: ua-cam.com/video/5bO8HHpQLn0/v-deo.html My opponent made some incredibly poor choices. That's entirely on them. I get the win, but it in no way makes me look good to capitalize on such poor play. I'm not here to puff out my chest and misrepresent myself as an amazing Pokemon TCG player. I know I'm not. I misplay and lose in front of dozens of people on Twitch every week and have my gameplay scrutinized in VOD form after the fact for thousands on UA-cam to see. I'm just here to have fun and share the bit of insight I have on the game to those who may find my content valuable.

Perhaps they're just playing Standard casual with this deck and that's why they're facing odd decks

I took a shot at upgrading both! Meowscarada upgrade video this Wednesday and Quaquaval video out on Monday.
