I am a 62 year old bike touring addict and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your video's. GREAT JOB making entertaining, interesting biking video's. It's been raining every weekend here in Western NY this Spring and these video's are what's keeping me sane as I patiently wait for favorable weather. Hope to see you out on one of the trails one of these days if it ever stops raining, LOL!

Glad you like them! The rain shall pass. Sooner or later. Then we can all get back to our addiction! 😂

The combination of information about the trail and your sense of humour, make your bike touring videos some of the best on youtube. Many thanks.

Whenever I’m Jones’n for some bike action; I know where to look. This trail is one we’ll do soon. We do mostly out and back stuff. Rain is okay, but no way on the lightning. I’m okay with a little moderate winter riding as long as it’s ice free. Can’t wait to ride this trail.

Might be due to Halloween being around the corner - but thinking you should do a video on all the tunnels you have gone through. Not only were they on the spooky side - but your commentary through the ones on this trail had me 'howling' 😂

Lol. That’s a great idea…I could mix in that old haunted house audio.

@@RideAlongAdventures 👻 sounds like a plan. I have to say - I sure hope you could see more than what the camera was showing. I will definitely be bringing a few more lights with me.

Nice Ride Bryan. I checked a map & that’s far NW PA. Something like a 5 hour plus drive from Philly. I’m glad you’re making shorter ride videos, as that’s more up my alley. Keep up the inspirational work. The next stop for me is my annual C&D trek.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s a haul for sure. The C&D is always a favorite. Enjoy!

Is the pavement bumpy most of the way.
    Thanks for the great video

There are some rough spots and I'm sure more will pop up as tree roots expand. it's just the downside of paved trails.

I did that trail yesterday 4/29/2024 many asphalt cracks that were lifted made the ride uncomfortable. If there is an old rider they might loose their Dentures. Lol

agreed. There are some very rough patches in there. Kind of hard to avoid the root systems from nearby trees.

Great ride. Wow, this tunnel looks pitch black. It's like a little spec of the light at the end of the tunnel. You really need a headlight there to get through those tunnels. I like all the greenery on the trail. I can see some of the greenery in a couple of weeks on my C&O Canal Trail ride, looking forward 😊

Lol. Those tunnels were amazing. I met a family (who didn’t want to be on UA-cam) coming out of the Kennerdale tunnel. The little kids were so excited to have survived!! 😀

Gosh, this is one of my favorite spots, and I love all the camp shelters. Early memories of our beginning of bike touring 25 minutes from our house !!

Obviously lighting is an issue, I've been caught out in some bad storms hiking but so far been lucky on the bike. I've been in some rain biking, it only bothers me when I happen to be on a road. "the odds are better on a bike than at home on the couch" lol

I’ve only crashed one time and that was in the rain when a car sort of pushed me over onto the slippery white line. I didn’t stand a chance. And fortunately I fell into the grass rather than into the road.

My favorite way to do these trails is so car camp. I will ride out 25-30 miles and then back to my car and shower at a Planet Fitness, make something to eat, drive back and go to sleep. Wake up the next morning, drive to the spot where I stopped at the day before and ride out from that spot 25 miles and back. Time consuming, but, it saves me a load of money and I get to "out and back" the trail.

      @RideAlongAdventures  Рік тому

It’s definitely a good option. I’d also add it provides some needed shelter at certain times. I have to admit that I find the whole “van life” or “mobile life” community very interesting. I need to look into the planet fitness thing more closely-you’re actually the second person to mention that just today! I’m still trying to figure out why there are so many laws/regulations against sleeping in your car/van. Seems harmless.
