Nice collection, Swarnamalya. I got my nose pierced at 25 before I got married.
I wanted a girl child for a long time , but I wasn't quite as lucky (I love my boys don't get me wrong). Last year when my son was 11 I bought a poo-shaped vaira mookuthi and got his nose and ears pierced. He played along well. He wore it for about a month and then removed the mookuthi a month before the school year started. He's been asking for it once more next year, although I haven't made up my mind yet. But hey, who knows?
I treasure those pictures as it's the closest I've come to having a daughter. He carried it off really well too

Thanks a lot for this video Swarnamalya. I'm a guy who grew up around a lot of women who had their noses I was 13 when my sister's nose was pierced at home. I wanted mine pierced for a long time. I always wondered how awesome it would be to wear a sparkling diamond on my nose.
I got it done on the left side at GRT the day I left for the US for my higher studies three years ago on my way to the airport, along with my second earring. It was the pandemic and so I was able to hide it behind my mask. Amma found out and threw a fit. Sadly we lost her last year and I took her 5 stone besari and diamond koppu earrings that I wear everyday even now. It makes me feel very feminine. I enjoyed the entire video, especially your bit about boys at the very end.. I too have a small collection, but nothing as big as yours

@@SwarnamalyaOffl Thank you so much. I too have a Maharashtrian nath that I bought with my first salary. I'm considering getting another hole (4th one) in my ears, and maybe the other nostril als pierced, although I'm not sure about the second nostril.
Also, I want to learn Bharatanatyam, the female form. Any suggestions?

I like you, your style , your shout out attitude for South Indians and Tamil Culture. My mom, grandma all wears Mookuthi. I too wanted to wear. But I've a huge nose, so I fear if it'll suit me. Also, when I tried pasting a stone bindi on my nose, I had a disturbance in vision as it was on my huge nose. Any advices for me?

That’s an amazing collection!! I been wearing my nose stud since I was 13 (now 37)…but rarely change it out coz lazy lol 😂…… recently however my husband bought me a nose pin with a coil looking wire from amarpali jewels…… and I have no freaking idea how to use it!! If you have those coiled type nose pins pls show how to use it pls!!!
